Davenport Fruit Farm Cidery & Winery

A week ago, @winecraft discovered yet another hidden gem--this time, a winery and cidery. The grounds are absolutely stunning, like something out of a Hallmark movie, nestled in Meadville. We sampled both wine and cider, and both were excellent. I even took home a white wine, which was spectacular. Although I usually prefer reds, I couldn't pass it up. I also grabbed a bottle of the Cayuga for our daughter, which was equally tremendous.While I was busy taking photos of the sign, I noticed a man watching me. I explained that I do this at every spirits location we visit. He introduced himself as Matt and kindly suggested I take pictures from the other side of the property for a better view--and he wasn't wrong. Later, when I got home and researched the place, I learned it had been a farm since 1910, originally owned by the Devenport family until 2017. It briefly passed to another owner before being taken over by the third owners, who I met without realizing at the time. I can't wait to revisit this incredible hidden gem!

Davenport Fruit Farm Cidery & Winery is a delightful escape from reality. Located away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by an orchard, with these fun red buildings I could have stayed there all day. I literally could have. My mother and I sat underneath an umbrella outside on the grass sipping wine and just taking everything in. The staff was amazing. They were very friendly and hospitable. The wine was delicious. The boozy ice cream was incredible. I've tried making boozy ice cream and I've never come close to this magic!I was very impressed with the wine selection and found them to be a good balance. Nothing was too fruity and this felt like a more traditional winery than I've experienced elsewhere in the region. While I enjoyed the wine my mother opted to stick with the ice cream. I loved how or came with the tasting board and was an option! It was brilliant!

Love this place!! The atmosphere is wonderful...outdoor decks and tables overlooking an apple orchard and pond, barn like feel inside, live music on the weekends. The cider is wonderful and if you try the Port wine you will never regret it. Truly one of my favorites!

The ambiance is so nice here!! A great place to go during the warmer times of year where you can sit outside and enjoy the views and weather. The drinks are truly unmatched, I know there are a lot of breweries around the area but this is truly unique and their selection is amazing. Definitely get the flight to try a little bit of everything!

Great views! The live music was great and the food is brought to you outside. Great venue as there was a wedding when we visited. I 100% recommend this place for a relaxing wine tasting experience in PA.

What a fun afternoon stop!!!!Lovely options for cider. You can have wine or beer if you prefer but do try the hard cider. The apple caramel sangria was delicious. Nice food options for small nibbles. Great to sit and enjoy the scenery and relaxed environment. Looking forward to coming back soon

No better way to spend an evening.Beautiful setting. Great outdoors seating. A terrific selection of ciders, wines and beers. They bring in great local musical talent, too. Great family atmosphere devoid of raunch, rudeness and television. A mini getaway from it all!Seem to be making improvements to their food items.Highly Recommended.

Nice atmosphere with a good selection of indoor and outdoor seating. Had wine, cider, and beer to choose from with a small food menu. Got some ciders and the hummus place.Overall good and would recommend

Amazing local gem! 14 acre apple orchard, uses the farm to tank idea making their own crafted hard ciders. They're delicious!! Wine is from local Lake Erie grapes and also produced on the orchard. Original restored barn holds the gorgeous tasting room. Private banquet hall also located on the property great for intimate events. Great vibe, host local live music, trivia, crafting, board games. It's worth a stop!!!
