Crush Wine Bar

Well we're out for the evening with some new friends. What an awesome night. They mentioned the crush wine bar said it was pretty good boy was that an under Statement. The bar/restaurant reeked ambience. The staff is very attentive and service was outstanding.We went inside to check in and we're sitting inside table. They have an outdoor seating area also that looks very nice.. I was looking at the appetizers and they had oysters. Outstanding. Yum yum.7We ordered the beet salad that was outstanding it was a lot. Peggy ordered shrimp on a small plate. I had the filet mignon. Bottom line because I'm tired and will just get to the point and I'll wrap this up so I'm not talking too long oh I guess I should shut up.Crush Wine bar is definitely worth the stop. I would come back here in a heartbeat. This place is a gem of a find, they offer an elevated, diverse menu that has a lot of options for everyone. Tried a few dishes here and everything was on point. I really loved the fettuccine pasta and would drive back here for that dish alone. The service and ambiance are great as well, it reminds me of a big city restaurant. Sandusky is lucky to have a great restaurant like this.

CRUSH is a full service restaurant focused on providing high quality food in an inviting and comfortable setting, with friendly and attentive service. The bar menu offer wines by the glass, wine flights, an extensive wine bottle list, spirits & brews. An eclectic dinner menu features small plates, entrees such as fresh pastas, grilled super thin crust pizzas, steaks, chops and daily features, as well as sushi. Centrally located in Downtown Sandusky a block from the water. Reservations are for tables only: the bar and the patio are first come, first seated.

I wish I was able to get some pictures, but I recently had an epic dinner at Crush Wine Bar! First off, shout out to my man Kevin, who took great care of our party all evening! A group of us were there for dinner, and so everyone ordered off the small plates menu and we passed everything around the table. I ate so much, I honestly can't remember everything we had, but there wasn't anything that we had that I was not thoroughly impressed with. Some of the highlights, the cheese plate, oysters, Bianco Pizza, potato cheddar pierogis, smoked trout pate, and several sushi rolls, which if I remember correctly were the surf and turf and the California roll. One member of our group also ordered the ribeye, and I was fortunate enough to get a piece of that as well, and it was cooked perfectly! And this was the food I was able to try, the truffle fries, the bread plate, and the bacon wrapped dates never made it to my end of the table, lol. I also did not partake in dessert, but heard the brownie and the pineapple upside down cake were both really good as well! I think the best part of the whole thing though was that the staff staggered when everything came out, so it felt like we were served 4 courses rather than everything coming out at once. Couple the amazing food with a really fun atmosphere, a great wine and beer list, several cocktails, and a great staff, and Crush Wine Bar just nailed it! Highly, highly recommend!

I don't often take the time to leave reviews, but I just had to do it this time. I was really impressed with the food here, like wow! It was so yummy, we will definitely be back to try more on the menu. Nice, warm, and comforting environment. And we really enjoyed our server slash bartender, he was really friendly and attentive. So if you're in the area, this is worth a stop, for sure.

The food and service was amazing. Shout out to our waiter Alyssa for making this a great experience. I had the sea bass special and my husband had the pork which were both fantastic.

Wine was delicious. Bread with balsamic was delicious, oysters on the half shell was ok. No we also ordered a California Roll. It tasted like the spicy tuna roll. It did not have cucumber, the meat was pink and when we complained, the wait staff and sushi person came out and said they have real crab and we were use to the imitation stuff. We did not eat it as it tasted like tuna. We were there an hour and it took 40 minutes to get a sushi roll that wasn't the roll we ordered. Experience was mediocre at best.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior, classy & clean. The staff us very kind and attentive. The menu has lots of options. The drinks and appetizers were our favorite part. My boyfriend loved the duck wings, & I enjoyed the bread dip. The food takes awhile to come out, but we didn't mind as our party enjoyed sitting and talking anyways. Great for a dinner party.

The food is always consistent and amazing. We have been going there on our date nights for 15 + years because we enjoy the delicious and eclectic menu, the friendly and entertaining waitstaff and the ambiance. Their wine selection is the best in Sandusky. A great place to spend a quiet evening or have a party. There is a new addition that supports business meetings or parties. A great venue merely a few feet from Lake Erie.

Cute, upper scale wine bar and restaurant in downtown Sandusky. I had the braised short ribs with butternut polenta and this was amazing! Large selection of wines. Service was prompt.
