Couldn't have asked for a better welcome to Akron with the best ice cream in town! It cost 3.50 for a "single dip" which means one scoop, but the actual portion was equivalent to three scoops from other ice cream chains I've been to. I haven't seen such low prices for such high quality ice cream in over 15 years! There were so many flavors to choose from but I had to go with good ol' butter pecan. The servers are all super friendly and sweet. There are lots of staff so while there is a steady stream of customers, the line moves very quickly. There is ample seating outside with view of their orchard across the road and apple trees out back. I can't wait to return and to explore their produce store when it's open.

Country Maid is a cute Mom & Pop shop near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Richfield, Ohio. All flavors of homemade ice cream with fresh fruits or nuts, are offered in cups, cones, shakes and more. A patio with umbrellas is outside. Next door is their market of jams, apple butter, fruits and vegetables. This should be a stop on everyone's trip to the area. Large parking lot and accessible.

I forgot all about the fruits and vegetables they sell from their farm. We bought the most delicious peaches and tomatoes this summer and couldn't be happier

Hands down the best ice cream in the area - I know, I know, everyone gets on their soap box about handles and Mitchell's but I am telling you this place is slow churned greatness and you can just tell they do it right as they are not mass producing their ice cream. I most recently had the pistachio and my husband had chocolate peanut butter - both were just absolutely decadent. We always bring our dog to sit on the patio with us and he loves being there - hoping for someone to drop something for him. We got him a scoop of vanilla for a little makeshift pup cup which he of course devoured. Thankful this is only 10 mins from our home - we frequent it all summer long. Def give it a shot - so many flavors!!

My favorite local ice cream spot! They've been in business for many years now but they still have that hometown feel. Their ice cream is all made on-site, and they have a good variety of flavors. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy! Once we found a parking spot and got in line though it moved quickly. My sister got cookies and cream and coffee ice cream (the coffee was great!), my mom got a mint chocolate chip milkshake and I got my favorite, the honey ice cream. It is so well-flavored and unique - I love it. In the fall they have pumpkins and apple dumplings and cute things in the adjacent store on the property as well...definitely check them out!

Every single day we left the hotel or returned to the hotel, we would pass by here. Every. Single. Day. Finally, on the fifth and last day, we decided to stop by. And of course, it starts raining on us. Once you walk in, you see all kinds of things on their shelves. Popcorn, jellies, different types of mixes, popcorn, pastas, syrups, and popcorn. I had absolutely no more room in my luggage. Otherwise, I would have taken some popcorn with us. All the ice cream and sherbet are made here in their only location. They use locally grown fruit. Girls behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. After their explanation of a couple of flavors I settled with the Penuchi Fudge and a scoop of mint chocolate chip as well. It was good not excessively sweet and they have sugar free options as well.

Other worldly ice cream and service not to mention an exquisite sun porch to enjoy rich, creamy (70%) whole cream, jellies, jams and pancake mixes. The servers are a wee bit testy due to the Summer deluge.

Of course I absolutely 1000 percent recommend this place. So many choices. And I'm sure they all taste great. I think the location isn't too bad. Took me about 30 mins to get her. The staff is friendly. And the grounds are clean. Get here. Get here now. You won't be upset.

My wife and I have been Handels fans for years, and recently heard about Country Maid and had to check it out.Lots of parking was a big plus, given how busy they were - even for a Saturday evening. The employees move like the floor is electrified, and I appreciated their hustle. It was a decently long line, and it moved fast.Outdoor seating was plentiful and nice. Much better than any other ice cream place around. The only thing we didn't care for - sadly - was the ice cream. We both got fruit-based flavors and agreed that they just didn't taste like much. To be clear: I'm not saying the flavors were bad - just that there wasn't enough to bring me back.Really glad people love this place and glad it's doing well. We'll keep going to Handels.
