I'm loving this place as a less expensive alternative with a more diverse selection than Creekside Beverage. When you need something unique or just the regular fix at a decent price, this place works. Walk-in or drive-thru.Tonight's purchase was exceptional, get a load of this priceless and irresistible description:Founders PorterPours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders Robust Porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. The mouthful is full and luxurious. Cozy like velvet, it's a lover, not a fighter.

I was looking for a new liquor store since Creekside closed and this place was on my way home from work. When I stopped by and picked out some Smithwick's, the guy took my ID to the back. When he returned he said he couldn't sell it to me because my ID didn't scan on their reader.I'm thinking "of course it didn't scan, it's an out of state ID." I said it's not a state requirement and he can take down the information if he really needed. He said, "I'm sorry, my boss won't let me." So I looked him in the eyes and said, "you really don't believe this is me?" He said no. Without looking at the ID I told him the license number. He said "you can read off everything on the card, I don't believe you." I said he can call the cops if he wants to, I'd wait. He said he didn't want to.This place could have had a happy customer who visits 3-4 times a week, but instead I drove down the street and will continue to do so. You be the judge.

Their prices are no less than Creekside, Giant Eagle, Vintage Estate or a whole bunch of other places. For a small store, they have a nice selection of wine and beer, although they should make some of their 20 something (children) employees stop texting on the job and start dusting off the wine bottles. Another problem is that the children they have running the shop at night just close the store whenever they feel like it! I was there last night 20 minutes before 9pm, the posted closing time, and the door was being locked. The kid inside pointed to the drive thru and told me to go there. You can't pick from their full selection of wine and beer at the drive thru. And you can't shop at your leisure because most likely someone will be behind you waiting. The kid is always rude when I am in there, and last night was it. I went to Giant Eagle and spent $30 there instead! Someone needs to let the owner know how some of these employees treat customers! There have also been several occasions when there was no employee to be found inside the store. A dishonest person could easily have grabbed a bunch of items and walked out without paying. on all occasions the employee was wither in the rest room or had left to go get food! WTF! I don't shop here any more. Giant Eagle is a mile further from my house, but I don't have to deal with punk-ass kids closing the store anytime they wish or giving me attitude. To the owner Christine: I have shopped in your store since before you owned it, about four years now, and easily spent several thousand dollars there. You just lost a great customer. There were also several other potential customers who pulled up to shop only to leave because the store was locked. AND they didn't go around to the drive thru! You really need some better employees.

As the above review states, he was not satisfied with the customer service at my store. As the manager I can assure you that this was not a mistake on the part of one of my employees. It is extremely important to check everyones identification if they don't appear to be of lawful age for purchasing alcohol. As for the attitude of my employee toward this customer, he was approached about it and was told how he could have handled it differently. Our customers are very important to us and we have received customers coming from Creekside with open arms. I am sincerely apologetic that you felt mistreated but I can assure you that we do our best to make sure we do everything legally and professionally and having an out of state license is one of the alarming signs we were told to watch for from the Youngstown police. Making it not only the businesses fault but the employees as well puts my guys In a difficult situation sometimes. Again sorry for the inconvenience and know it was hard to swallow this complaint due to my desire to make every customer satisfied. Manager at cornersburg party shop- pat
