Cork & Barrel Wine Bar and Restaurant

Stopped at Cork and Barrel in Avon for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations for 5:30'but really didn't need them. There is a bar area with seating at the bar and several tables too. The wine menu was very extensive with a few beers, 2 draft beers and several cocktails. We were seated in the dining area which had several tables with chairs. Service was quick and friendly. We started with the stuffed dates and white chicken chili, Flatbread with pepperoni, side salad and pasta with meatballs. All were served hot. Menu was limited to sandwiches and several entrees and some daily specials. Prices were average. We were looking forward to more draft/craft beer selections but were able to settle for a wine.

Writing this review months later so can't recall all the details. However, this is an underrated patio location that is popular with locals but is somewhere you can easily get seated and not have to fight for patio seating. The menu is unique and has many vegetarian options which can be appreciated

I love this joint! Situated away from the hustle and bustle; yet easy access to anywhere. The food is impeccable! The atmosphere has won my heart. The service and attention to detail is what you'd expect from a 5 star restaurant. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The owner is why you'll keep coming back and telling your friends.

Went here on a Monday and was happily surprised they were open. They do have a limited menu on Monday's so we were going to just have a glass of wine and leave to get food elsewhere. Then our server Michael went above and beyond and got the kitchen to let us order off the regular menu.The service was amazing! The food was epic and the wine selections were great. You can create your own flight which I took full advantage of and loved all of my choices. They also have a wine dinner each month that we would love to go to if we were local. Also bonus they let our pups on the patio with us so this place has it all :)

Really a delightful surprise for dinner tonight. We stopped at @corkandbarrelavon Cork and Barrel Wine Bar in Avon. The food and drinks were fantastic. We had great service from Vaughn ( forgive any misspellings) and after we got done eating we found out that Vaughn was the new owner of one of our new favorite spots. Revamped menu with some great selections. We had the TWIN FILLETS - Two 4oz Beef Medallions with Red Wine Demi Glaze. Served with Classic Risotto and Green beans. The risotto was so fluffy and light. My wife who is not usually a risotto person went back in for more. The steak had a great char taste. We also had SHRIMP DIP SKILLETShrimp, Mozzarella, Cream Cheese, Garlic and Parmesan Served with Crostini and crackers. Home run. See the pictures .... High praise. Be sure to stop in and eat local.

Fantastic restaurant. Amazing service. Great knowledge of wine and patience to share their knowledge. Food is awesome and Chef Ron continues to create dishes that make you want to come back again and again. Entertainment is a plus. Every night there's either someone entertaining or fun trivia, movie nights, car shows, clam bakes or paint nights. The patio is the best in town. Fire pit, patio heaters, great woodsy environment. Don't miss out on this gem in your own backyard.

We had been meaning to try the Cork and Barrel, and finally went tonight. It was wonderful!! Amazing food, service, and wine. We had the Arancini, which were some of the best we've had. For our entree, we split the Sirloin sliders and chips. So tasty that we wanted more. There are vegetarian options that sound good. You can have wine flights or bourbon flights. We will definitely be back!

An absolute amazing time!My only disappointment is I didn't check it out sooner!The staff, food and drinks were amazing!

This place has so much potential. I somuch wanted to like it. The menu is interesting, the wine list enticing. The trivia game was fun and the guy running the game was funny and personable. Waitress was nice.But if you don't die of thirst in this place you'll die of starvation. Having to chase down a server to get a second glass of wine is not acceptable. Two hours to get food is not acceptable.The server tried to accommodate us and was nice about it. They only have a two person kitchen, trivia night overloads them, yada, yada yada.This is not hard, kids. Offer a limited menu on trivia night. Hire 4 more servers and 4 more cooks. Put a taco truck in back if your kitchen is too small or expand the kitchen. Hell, order in from Heck's down the street, just feed your guests. It's a restaurant after all. You make no money if you starve your patrons and don't sell wine.

I'm not a big drinker but the atmosphere and the people are amazing. Thanks Vaughn and Pete you are killin it. See you at my next visit
