This was my second visit and everything was even more delicious than before. We went for brunch. The candied bacon was the perfect texture, very thick and not flimsy (I requested it more well done). The creme brule French toast was heavenly. The breakfast potatoes were well seasoned and crisp. The carbanera gnocchi was tasty as well. All of the ingredients in the dish were great quality. Our server was down to earth and very attentive. Excellent service! We made reservations online the day before. The restaurant didn't open until 11a so all the patrons walked in at same time. The staff did well to accommodate and organize the mass.

I've been to several locations and never had a bad meal or bad service. This is no exception. Please keep in mind that they literally JUST opened less than 2 months ago. Also, a reminder that a restaurant "seeming" short staffed isn't a good reason for a bad review, especially if you had great service and your food was made well. The staff is always wonderful, from the host stand to the servers, the kitchen and the management. If you are coming here for a quick 30 minute in and out, go elsewhere and save this for when you have the time to enjoy it. Cooper's Hawk is intended to be a slow paced experience, where you enjoy each course with plenty of time in between to also enjoy the company you're with. Almost like a throwback to the time when families would sit around the table to talk for hours - to savor the moments and the flavors of a good meal.Yes, the bar gets backed up. They are also a winery and sometimes people go JUST for the wines/bar. Their cocktails are hand made and not pre-mixed.You can have quality or quickness. I'll gladly wait on quality. The food has always been phenomenal, with some of my personal favorites being the potstickers and flatbreads for appetizers and then the gnocchi (any of them) and the short ribs for a lunch or dinner entree. Today I got the shrimp scampi and it was perfectly done. Oh, and those donuts at Saturday brunch are for sure worth a cheat day.Make sure you don't skip on the pretzel bread, and of course the wines (my favorite is the Sparkling Almond or the Cooper's Hawk Merlot and Cabernet).

I have been to numerous Coopers Hawks in Chicago so I was so excited when one opened in Avon because i thought it would be a fun place for my parents and their friends to go. So, my mom and I stopped in for lunch before we went out shopping. We were greeted quickly, and ordered our lunches. Our bread and Diet Coke came out quickly. Our waitress initially stopped by a few times to find out if we wanted to join the wine club but after declining, our server all but disappeared. Two tables who came in after us received their food and were eating. Another table who just got their food when we sat down, ate, ordered coffee and desserts, ate that, paid, and left and we still did not have our food. Our server never offered us refills on our drinks. She never came back to give us a status of food. My mom ordered soup and a salad and the server never even brought out her soup. After 40 minutes of waiting, we tracked down our waitress and said we just waned to pay for our drinks and leave. Her response was "I guess" you don't owe anything for the drinks, so we left. As we walked out the door, a manager did approach us but we were already out the door at that point and were over it and wanted to just got on with shopping. Had the server stopped by our table an all during the 40 minutes to say I forgot to turn in the ticket or Im so sorry the kitchen is backed up (although it wasn't crowded), we would have been understanding. It was just a little too late to try to handle it after we literally have one foot out the door.

Had a lovely brunch yesterday at Cooper's Hawk. It was a beautiful new building. We enjoyed the calamari, two of the big salads on their menu and brought home two desserts. I loved my hard coffee and pear martinis. Our server was lovely! We will be back because we joined the wine club! The tasting staff were so friendly and fun to chat with. Worth checking out. This will be our new spot!

Great gluten free options. Has a dedicated menu! My cousin and I split the gluten free gnocchi and gluten free braise short rib risotto both were delicious! Had the Gluten free bruschetta which was also incredible. The wine was good and so were the chocolates.

I loved everything we ate and drank at Coopers Hawk. We started out enjoying the bacon & cheese plate, I had the braised beef risotto and loved it, my friends had the chicken risotto, the beef medallions with the tortilla soup, and the salmon and all were pleased. We had fun joking with our server who was attentive, and knowledgeable with the food & wine. We loved how he brought this tall carafe with a glass ball on top to pour our red wine in down to aerate. We loved our round table to be able to see and talk with everyone, but felt the atmosphere was too loud to hear each other.

my entrée was cold. They insisted on replacing it and then never came back with the food for 30 minutes (we gave up and were leaving). My kids $20 piece of salmon was hard like a space shuttle tile and only about 3 x 4".

Went to CH today for the first time and we loved it!Our server was very attentive and professional (I can't remember his name). The food was very good and the wine selection was very extensive, so was the cocktail list. The place is very big, they have a wine tasting area with very friendly bartenders and cute wine boutique. We're new to Ohio so we're looking for a restaurant that serves good food and good wine, this might be the place.
