Over the past few years of living in Cleveland, I've seen several plays and musicals at Connor Palace and always have a wonderful time. From Dress circle to balcony, the seats are comfortable, clean, and angled to have a good view of the stage. Do note though that, when seated on the far side edges, you may have a blind spot of the stage because of stage curtains blocking the view a little bit. The volunteer ushers and theatre staff members are always warm, friendly, and helpful in my experience. They have a passion and joy for the arts as well so their enthusiasm is contagious!

An outstanding old theater. Saw come from away- the play about 9/11 and newfound land. Based on a true story. Had row 3 seats. Quite surprised the leg room was decent. Fun place and smartly they open up all the exits after the show.,making for quick exit !

We were in town and able to grab 3 tickets last minute to the Wiz show. The show was absolutely amazing. We found parking on the street to avoid the $30+ parking fee.Everyone is always congregating on the first floor of these type of shows but the second floor has the same bar, bathroom, and snack shop that you can go to to avoid that busy traffic on the first floor. Our view was decent from our Mezzanine section. Tickets were priced at $ 65.00 a piece. Photography or video is not permitted while the show was live. The only complaint we had was the leg room in our seats. It was just a bit tighter than we would like. The restless little kid occasionally kicking our seats behind us was a reminder of how tight it was. Other than that, the flow through security and plenty of assistants working made it easy to navigate this venue. We had a great time and we were really pleased with the show. Highly recommended.

Always love playhouse square. Came here to see hairspray. We sat on the floor left of center stage. Love just looking at the molding on the ceiling and the side walls. Just lovely. Hairspray was really great. Always a pleasure to visit playhouse square!!

The seats are smaller than other theaters . Less leg room also. I would say this is an outdated theater. There are a lot better out. However the staff was very happy to help you.

Came here to see Eddie Izzard a few weeks ago and had a wonderful experience. The hilarious and amazing show notwithstanding, the theatre itself is stunning. I had a great time before the show and during intermission staring at the elegant details and artwork within. The lobby is spacious and welcoming. The seats are comfortable. Sometimes older theatres have tiny seats but these were a-ok. I can't speak to the sound for a musical but for a comedy show it was great. We had main floor seats on stage right and the view was excellent!

This is a beautiful theatre in Cleveland's Playhouse Square. It is full of a very rich history. The main lobby is stunning with beautiful chandeliers. You can access a few other theatres from a hallway inside this theatre so during winter, it helps not having to go outside. Bin 216 is a restaurant that is also accessible from this inside hallway. I visited this theatre for the first time on Saturday, December 1st when I got a free ticket to the Broadway show "CHICAGO". I've actually seen Chicago before on Broadway when I lived in the city of Chicago. The Cleveland show was an amazing show with one intermission. The entire show lasted for about 2.5 hours. Eddie George, a former college football player at The Ohio State University and also the 1995 Heisman Trophy winner who later went on to play in the NFL, acted outstanding. I knew that was him when he first came on stage. I had no idea he does Broadway shows so it was so cool to see him perform on stage. Many top-notch actors are brought on this stage to showcase their amazing talents and there is a variety of shows you can catch at Connor Palace. I recommend seeing a show here. Dress up and make it a fun evening. The bathroom lines are long but they move rather quickly since there is a staff person inside that manages the line. You can buy drinks here but I saw long line for that too. I don't drink alcohol and just wanted a cup of water. I was given water without standing in line so I appreciated that. The SEATS may be tight but I was lucky to get a seat in a section that had a little bit more leg room.FUN FACT -- Chris and Sara Connor of Hunting Valley, Ohio made a $9 million dollar gift to the Playhouse Square capital fundraising campaign. This was the largest gift received from a family in Playhouse Square's history so this palace is named after them.***- This is my 189th total Yelp review.- I have written 143 Yelp reviews in 2018

This theatre is so beautiful and is well taken care of. There are bars and food kiosks all over and a fair amount of restrooms. The A/C is set very low, so bring a jacket or you will be cold. All the volunteers who help you to your seats are very friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the seats. I have to guess they are the original seats because they are small. I am a small person so it doesn't bother me except that when a large person sits next to me, they are honing in on my space. The material is that crushed velvet stuff that is uncomfortable. I know they want to maintain the integrity of the old theatre, but these seats really need updated.

Love this place!I didn't go to a lot of theaters but this one is really pretty. We went to see Anastasia last night and it was just magical. The place and people is nice. The service was well organized so you don't realize you have over 2,000 people in the room at the same time. The seats are pretty tight together compare to other places I have been to. The description of the location of the seat is also confusing on the website. But really great experience!

No at all handicap-friendly if you have mobility issues. No elevator. How is that possible in the 21st century? People w mobility issues are faced with the choice of either climbing a lot of stairs with a wide, marble railing that you can't get a hand hold on, or purchasing the more expensive tickets on the first floor.#Abelist#Classist
