My first time trying a vegan salad. Idk what kind of sorcery they put in this salad but HOLY SMOKES BATMAN! Every bite tasted fresh, and the "chicken" was warm and tender, the texture is softer than chicken but the flavor made up for it. I'm sold!

In the 7 years that I've lived in Cleveland, I always wanted to visit Cleveland Vegan. I'm glad that I finally visited Cleveland Vegan.I visited on a Sunday morning in early November 2024 with two friends, Leslie and Katie. We coincidentally all ordered the plain buttermilk pancakes ($6). We got one pancake each. The pancake was very delicious especially with syrup and butter which came with the pancakeI added a side of shiitake bacon ($3.50). I thought I would be getting a decent amount of bacon but it was a super small dish (2-3 bites) which in my opinion, was expensive. This bacon was made out of mushrooms and I did not like the taste at all. It was also super salty. My two friends ordered a green juice which they both enjoyed.I'll certainly be back to try other breakfast and lunch options.****GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024- 112/150 total reviews in 2024- 761 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 5 December 2024

Tried something new today. The environment is cozy and pleasant. Nice array of options for breakfast and lunch. Everything they serve is vegan. I am not vegan. I am pretty committed to steak and chicken as part of my regular life. I'm also kind of a picky eater. And I don't typically love breakfast food. I mention all that to say....I wasn't exactly positioned to love the joint. And yet.... The menu was interesting and accessible to me. Portions are large. I tried the "buttermilk" pancake, shiitake "bacon" and carrot/orange/ginger cold pressed juice. Flavors on all three were great. And it was a very filling meal at a super-forgiving price point. The staff were very friendly. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Where's the tempeh?? So disappointed. There is now NO tempeh on the menu except tempeh bacon, instead there is a plethora (unfortunately) of seitan. Wake up! seitan is an ultra-processed food. It is nothing but highly process wheat flour. :(Anyone truly paying attention to nutrition knows that wheat gluten is terrible for most of us. Please bring back the tempeh bowl!

I went to Cleveland Vegan in late December with my son. It is very clean and bright - very busy! We both got the Breakfast Burrito and it was great! Very tasty and hot. The server was sweet and helpful though the hostess had forgotten a few things she was supposed to do like get us water and silverware (we saw the next table get set up properly in this manner and it went much smoother for the server). We also got some lattes on the way out and they were delicious!

1st let me say I AM NOT VEGAN, but my wife is. So we alternate restaurants to accommodate her lifestyle. The service was friendly, the waiter was very patient and was very descriptive in explaining the menu options. The environment was very clean . I had one pancake and a coffee . The pancake didn't taste like anything. I am going to to assume that this is due to my own taste buds . Once I topped it with the organic maple syrup, the pancake tasted better. We would probably return to experiment another food selection.

Great service, great food what more could you need or want. Also lots of parking available around the location. The inside is normal and there are outside seating options available as well. The menu is simple and has a good variety of options. The staff also know the menu well and are available to answer any questions. I tried the watermelon, mint and lime pressed juice and it was delicious. I also had the Caprese Toast which was delicious.

I visited Cleveland Vegan for my birthday and I cannot imagine a better way to celebrate the day. I got to eat lavishly at such an affordable price! The quality is fantastic, the quantity of food is generous, and the service was exceptional. I cannot wait to go back!Cleveland Vegan has a very nice atmosphere inside with plenty of space for groups or families to gather as well as intimate tables for a party of two. I love how much natural light comes into the business which makes taking food photos a breeze.I met up a friend and we ordered the potato skins, Lox Benedict, and Thai Rice Noodle Bowl. With tax our meal was $40. Coming from DC that is the steak of the century! I cannot believe how much food came to the table at such an affordable price point. The potato skins were phenomenal! The size of the potatoes was larger than I expected and they had the perfect balance of salt. The sour cream on top was exceptional and not only added a nice color contrast but also helped bring the savory flavors together. The Loc Benedict was the star of the show featuring the Yo Egg which has a runny yolk. I have been dying to try this vegan artistry and it did not disappoint. Additionally the lox were the right amount of fishy and I loved the hollandaise sauce on top of this meal. This Benedict tasted as good as I remember a real Eggs Benedict to taste and has the bonus of not harming any animals. How could brunch get any better than this?I also tried the Thai Rice Noodle Bowl which pretty much had the largest chunks of tofu I have ever seen! This meal was a nice refreshing light flavor to balance out some of the heavier menu items. I love how stocked with veggies this bowl was and how much tofu was offered. Thank you Cleveland Vegan for an amazing experience. I look forward to stopping by again when I come back to Cleveland. I must make my way through this menu with dishes that do not disappoint!

Although in the past I've tried many of their baked goods and some are really questionable in flavor and texture, they do have wonderful savory/non dessert vegan food options! Tempeh bacon here is excellent and high in protein. Plenty of vegan to go options too from meals to baked goods to multiple brands of no junk added cultured plant based (cashew) cheeses! Are they cheap? Absolutely not. They're rather expensive. BUT the quality of the food and inability to find vegan food of the is caliber and selection elsewhere around Cleveland make them totally worth the trek and price. Super helpful employees too who want to be sure you know ingredients and what you're getting which is super important for health nuts like myself. This place is never dead and always busy. There is almost always standing room only which attests to what a gem it is here. The sriracha lime slaw is super delicious too and not too sweet.

A solid vegan restaurant with good service, ambiance, and prices but could do better on some dishes. I recently went here with a party of three other people, and we were immediately able to get a table (Cleveland Vegan doesn't take reservations). Our service was fantastic and our server extremely helpful. Our group split the cheesy potato skins and the caprese toast. The cheesy potato skins had delicious "bacon" (shiitake mushrooms) but otherwise were just baked potatoes that needed more flavor. However, the caprese was delicious, with the tomatoes and balsamic glaze notably standing out.I split the Thai rice noodle bowl and the chorizo breakfast burrito with one other person. The rice noodle bowl was OK, although it needed more noodles and the peanut dressing was very salty. The chorizo breakfast burrito was disappointing, as it was so salty neither person who ate it could finish it. Cleveland Vegan could have added flavor with spices instead of salt.I would come back to Cleveland Vegan but order different things.
