I visited in mid-December 2024 for the first time. This isn't The Cleveland Bagel Company. The bagels here arrive par-baked and frozen, then baked fresh daily.I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich with egg and bacon ($7). I got it without cheese. It was good and satisfied my hunger because I had just come from a morning workout. Normally the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is $8. NOT 'THE CLEVELAND BAGEL CO. (different business) -- The Cleveland Bagel Cafe is a separate entity operated by Erika Durham. This cafe shouldn't be confused with the original Cleveland Bagel shop, called 'The Cleveland Bagel Co.' Alot of reviews mentioned how this cafe isn't as good as the original; well, it's not supposed to be tied to the original. The owner of the Cleveland Bagel Cafe, bought franchise rights to use the bagels but she added "cafe" to the name change it up. So this is a totally separate and different bagel establishment than THE Cleveland Bagel Co. The bagels here are not supposed to be the same as the actual Cleveland Bagel. Service was friendly and warm.I'll definitely be back.****GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025- 9/365 total reviews in 2025- 790 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 1 January 2025

We had stopped at a location off of Detroit Ave and they had sold out! It was 10am on a Friday. So we came to this location instead.I got an everything bagel with egg, bacon, and cheddar. My sister got a sea salt with the same toppings and my friend got a plain bagel with Brie and honey cream cheese. We also ordered cheddar and chive on the side. My everything bagel was kinda hard. They had mentioned it had just come out the oven but my sister and friend's bagels were significantly softer than mine. Maybe they baked mine too long? The bagels also looked kinda tiny. Definitely homemade and tasty, but I wished they had also added seasoning to the bottom. The cream cheese was good but for some reason my stomach didn't feel all that great afterwards. I didn't have lactaid pills with me, so that's on me.Prices weren't bad, but I wouldn't say these are the best bagels I've ever had. But it's not a bad option if you're wanting a bagel.Tons of parallel parking around too so no issues there!

I'm pretty surprised by the negative reviews here, as I've had infinitely better experiences (and bagels!) at this location than their others. There's often a line, but it always moves quickly, as the staff is both adept and friendly, willing to answer any questions. I always feel rushed and frazzled at the Ohio City location but never at this one, which just feels more welcoming to me. And of course, I love that it has a little more space to sit and eat and chill -- AND a very easy parking situation. The space itself it open, bright and airy, and I the new everything bagel mural seals the deal on the vibe.

I am so happy that Cleveland bagel has opened up this café in Lakewood! I love Cleveland bagel so much. The rosemary sea salt bagel is the best bagel I have ever had in my entire life. For a long time, I was just getting their bagels at a local coffee shop before this came but I'm really excited that I can get a bagel sandwich not just a bagel and cream cheese. I have been there twice in the last week because it's so good. Each time I have had the rosemary sea salt bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese and a smear of their cheddar cream cheese. They also have six shooter coffee - I've had the vanilla iced latte. I hope they add more latte flavors in the future. I also had their banana (no nut) muffins and they are delicious- packed with banana flavor. They even have a cooler filled with tubs of cream cheese to take home. I'm excited to add this to my breakfast/coffee rotation!

Came opening weekend, maybe wait until the hype is over because we waited about 45 min in line around 9am Saturday. Would've appreciated some music to kill the time (fyi there is music but the speakers are only at the check out area so you couldn't hear it beyond that point).I do think their veggie sandwich was delicious! I'm not vegetarian but the ingredients on it sounded yummy and there aren't that many bagel sandwiches with hummus avocado cucumber onions etc. The rosemary salt was a perfect combination with it.We also got an everything bagel (I don't think it had enough everything flavor) with chorizo chipotle schemas (very smoky and meaty). I think a hack is to get the bagel with a side of schemer (it's cheaper). They do have a back parking lot and main entrance is actually through the back not front door, can be confusing with big lines.Overall excited there's a bagel place for sandwiches too in Lakewood but hopefully they find a more efficient method if the lines stay this long.

Not bad, but not as good as the original in Ohio City. The bagels aren't made fresh here ... according to articles before it opened, bagels are made elsewhere, arrive par-baked and frozen, then baked in the store. So they don't taste as fresh as the Ohio City ones and are a bit harder to chew through. Definitely taste denser when you take them home to freeze and toast later. If you're fine with that, then this is a handy place to go, though they often run out of some varieties early. If you want the good stuff, go in to the original location.

Unfortunately nowhere near as good as their flagship location. I'm not sure if it's how they are storing the bagels, but they tasted "freezer burnt". The bagels are also smaller and harder than at the original location. Their sandwich toppings and cream cheese are just as good! But the bagels are disappointing.

Sadly, these bagels are straight bad. Hard, tough, stale. I really hope they can figure things out and turn them around or this place is going out of business very soon. And I LOVE Cleveland Bagel, too! Come on guys, please get it together.

We'll stick to their Ohio City location. The LKWD location has stale bagels. Very tough, very dense. It's like they were frozen and reheated
