City tap has great food and we love the atmosphere before going to the games. We tend to get there at least 2 hours prior to the game to get seating at a table since we take the kids. The bar tenders and service is also great! Can't go wrong

Came here twice for dinner after games at Progressive Field. We didn't have any problem getting a table. I guess there wasn't a pennant race going on, so a small crowd for the games. Order dinner at the bar. Food was fine. They bring it out to you. I'd eat here again, especially given its proximity to Progressive Field.

The food here was pretty good, but the "serve yourself" vibe wasn't doing it for us - especially on the second floor on a hot day where we were really thirsty. We might try sitting downstairs next time. PROS:-Food was good! We really enjoyed both of the burgers were got - though the choice of bread was a textured top which was interesting. (Still soft and good though!) Ranch was fantastic, and the fries, while slim, were really good.-All of our food was served hot. -It was pretty loud downstairs, but it was quieter upstairs. I'd probably default to the upstairs area if you want to have conversations with your tablemates. CONS:We sat up on the second floor because that's where there was a free table. There was a table number on the table, and you simply looked at the menu, figured out what you wanted, and let the bartender downstairs know. No problem there. The problem lies in all of the other things that go along with "service" in a restaurant. We asked for water, and we were given small water cups with about 8 ounces of water. Not a huge deal on most days, but it was hot AF here, and we had stopped in for dinner after a tiring day outdoors. This is when we found out that you have to wait in line for the bartender's attention in order to receive water refills - after you walk yourself back downstairs for each water refill. Another walk down the stairs (while food is cooling, the whole time!) to ask for some of the sauces they forgot. We tried to go straight to the kitchen to avoid the backlog on the overworked bartender, but the kitchen staff said all requests - even our missing food - had to go through the bartender. So back in line it was.Our food, which was pretty darn good when fresh, ended up being cooler than expected, faster than expected, with all of the waiting in line while it sat on the table. There might have been a water refill jug upstairs, but we didn't see one. More bartending staff, especially on a Saturday, might also help deal with the backlog if all food requests, water requests, and drink prep all need to go through the same human. Food was good, but we didn't get to enjoy much of it while it was perfectly hot, and it was pretty frustrating to spend so much time waiting in line instead of enjoying the place.

Solid place for beer and cider, friendly and quick staff also. Limited seating but if you find a spot it's a great place to watch the Browns game! Tons of TVs and not to rowdy. The food here is typical American and good for beer. Parking is tricky because you have to pay unless you find free street parking.

Very good visit pre hockey game this weekend. It was very crowded but able to find a table. Bartender communicated they are down staff so we had to order and cash out at the bar. Excellent beer selection. Our group had a couple of burgers, chicken tenders, and the chicken wrap. They were served surprisingly quick. Each was very good. The fries were great, seemed fresh cut. Place has lots of TVs, is pretty loud, gets crowded pregame. Good spot.

Downtown bar. Stopped for drinks and appetizers before a concert at Rocket Mortgage Center. Like how the place was decorated. Tons of bobble heads. Numerous craft beers to choose from. Dimly lit bar. Steady crowd but not to busy. Sat at the bar. The mini tacos were those frozen Jose Ole mini tacos that you purchase in the frozen section of the grocery store. The wings were ok. Nothing special.

My boyfriend James and I dominated this place in the we hours of the evening - the bartender made us the best Buttery Nipples and Red Headed Sluts on repeat - there's something amazing about visiting these tastes again and im so glad that they nailed it - it was spot on and we will definitely be back again - thank you - you are a Soceress of Goodness.

Any time we are in downtown Cleveland this is a must stop for us. Great drink selection & great bar food. Burgers are good but the chicken wings hit the spot every single time. I don't know what they do to make them so crunchy on the outside but tender & juicy on the inside. Seriously my favorite place to get wings in the area!! Oh and you can't forget the pretzel bites with the cheese sauce & cinnamon butter. Also, great environment to watch any sporting event at. Enough TVs and you can see the game from anywhere in the bar.

For 2 weeks in a row at the City Tap coming to Cavs game the city has disappointed me for a pre-game meal and drink,. the first time 11/20/24 we request a simple v channel change to the previous Cavs, while we ate, the waiter asked the manager she refused while we ate and paid for the food, we requested 3 times while we ate and paid for the food. The 2nd time was today 11/27/24 we came in I asked the manger ( she was taking orders) for 2 well drinks, she asked what type, I said bourbon, she said that would be Jim beam. But when it was time to pay for the tab instead of it being $16 it was $28, now she didn't give a itemized total just the total receipts, I paid and gave a tipOf $2.54, my wife cought the mistake, I went back to the manager she said there are no Bourbons as well drinks and gave me the itemized total, she never told me that Jim beam wasn't a well drinks and under faux pretense sold the drinks , the only recourse is stop coming to your establishment and tell everyone I know of this place and how you have deceptive practices in selling food and drink, and that your mangers are too lazy to change the a simple channel. By the way the atmosphere is bad because the service is bad.
