City Egg

City Egg is a small Ohio breakfast/brunch/lunch chain that offers a pretty extensive menu that includes a variety of egg dishes, pancakes, avocado toast (of course), a quinoa bowl, acai bowls, sandwiches and wraps, bakery items, and a coffee bar. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and although ordering is typically done electronically the staff member assured us he was available to answer any questions. The e-ordering process is very easy and has options for customization which is a perk.The food is all prepared to order and came out nicely plated and at the correct temperature. My dining companions very much enjoyed their pancakes, eggs, and hashbrowns. I ordered the tropical acai bowl which was topped with a good amount of a variety of fruit. I do wish the acai base was a little thicker; the texture was more smoothie than sorbet but the flavor was lovely.Pricing is very reasonable for a hip-ish local place - all-in-all City Egg is worth a visit!

Mixed feelings about this place. The ordering and serve yourself theme is awkward. They have you put your name on your order but are unable to announce your name loud enough to hear in the tiny place. Never the less we went to counter to see if our food was finally ready and they pointed out our trays of food plates. We had someone else's food on our trays as well. Good food, bad concept to get right.

Always a good, quick option when we're in BG! Service was fairly quick. This last time in, it was mid morning in July in a college town. We were the only ones there.

I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty breakfast yesterday at City Egg. I had the American skillet, hash brown base, eggs over easy on biscuits topped with sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was not spicy, which I appreciate, and well made. I had hash browns as a side, because i can never have too many potatoes, but you can choose other sides, like fruit or toast.The ordering system is electronic on touch pads which i don't love but I know we can blame Covid for that. There was a young woman available for directions and another woman cooking.The place is clean with lots of tables and chairs and restrooms were clean. I didn't see a place to leave tips on the pads because i like to tip but the store is almost completely self serve.My breakfast was $12 which is reasonable. Only gave 4 stars because i prefer human interaction, but no real complaints about the food

Very delicious breakfast spot! We were able to put in our order immediately and find a great seat. Had the avocado toast with hash browns and a cappuccino. Definitely recommend to those who love breakfast foods!

City Egg is light and bright when you walk in and I was greeted right away. There is no table service, but there are several tablet kiosks where you place your order. If you order a drink, it comes from the back bar and then they will call the name on the order when the food is up. There is also a tv screen on the wall by the kitchen that shows order names and status so you can track your order, which is a nice feature. I found it to be very easy to place my order and pay for it on the tablet. I let the staff know they were out of napkins and they thanked me and filled it right away. All other utensils, seasonings, etc were well stocked. It was moderately busy on a Saturday around 10:30am but our food only took about 10 minutes. Everything was hot and ready to eat. I had the avocado omelet with fruit and crispy hashbrowns (you can select "crispy" when ordering the hashbrowns!) The pepper and onions you could tell were fresh because they still had a crunch to them and not soggy like frozen veggies usually are. My omelet was flavorful and fresh. My latte with skim milk was the right temp and had good flavor. I felt it was a large portion for the price as I couldn't finish it all, but a great deal! My only complaint was the salsa. It seemed like they may make it in house which I appreciate that, but it was too runny for my liking. I would definitely return for another breakfast or even to grab a latte to go.

So happy to have another breakfast option in Bowling Green. City Egg's ingredients always taste so fresh. I love to get the Wisconsin scrambled eggs and premium bacon. My cousin opted for the avocado toast while my uncle ordered the hotcakes. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. I've been going to City Egg in Columbus for years, and it's nice to be able to continue that in my hometown.Definitely check it out. Fast casual breakfast is an awesome concept.

The food is ok but the juice is everything... the fresh squeezed orange juice has our crew wondering how we've missed out on this magical delight for so long- and when we can get back to buy more. Watch the oranges move through the machine- and then be squeezed one by one to fill up your cup. Keep scurvy at bay. At 5.50 per glass- your life can be easily changed too.

Food was good. Not great, but good. I thought it was little pricey for what you got, but still a nice change from the normal in BG. It seems like it is primarily self service. You place your order at a kiosk and pick the food up when your name is called. The atmosphere reminds you of a little coffee shop/café. A nice little place.

Pancakes were awesome! Quick service and fun vibe. Love that the plates are shaped like eggs, cool touch
