It's good for American palete. It's an amazing place to dine ... like every thing looks awesome. As an Indian it's unfortunately tasteless food . Tikka masala sauce should be tasty (even if it's not spicy ) . Even the machine made samosa is tasteless .

This was a super quick, convenient, and tasty spot to satisfy my Indian food cravings! I enjoyed the concept of the restaurant and how customizable everything on the menu was. I ended up ordering a Choolah bowl with white rice and chicken tikki masala. I loved how many options there were for different dietary restrictions - not just gluten-free, but also vegan and vegetarian and the menu was clearly marked. My food was really flavorful and my only complaint was that I wish I had just a little bit more rice to really soak up all of the tikki masala sauce. I also ordered the chilled chai (i can never, ever pass one up) but felt like it tasted a bit watered down, which was kind of disappointing. The store felt very spacious, had plenty of seating, and was also decorated nicely with tons of colorful artwork. I honestly was a bit surprised that the store wasn't as busy as I expected when we walked in around lunchtime on the weekend!

Clear Choice dental implant post-op patients of Westlake, OH... REJOICE! You DO NOT have to choose between flavor & surgical stitch safety in Westlake at all, because the flavorful culinary journey that is Choolaah awaits you... literally just around the corner & just one block from where you will be having the work on your new smile done. And may all the gods of all the tasty vittles on this Earth be praised!Choolaah means "clay pot cooking stove" in India (aka: "Bharat" which is the ancient-future name that is often heard rolling off the tongues of the 2 billion+ residents of the wise & ancient sub-continental land of the Indus these days). This is where the ancient & authentic art of cooking from Bharat is centered. And... as you can see from the pix, this is where the cooking at Choolaah takes place. (When you see four orange choolaah lined up to make your naan & such [naan that is oh so good, because it is oh so fresh & oh so right, just live everything else I tried within my limited, stitch-friendly dietary limits... you know this brightly spiced & hot-sauce assisted cuisine is going to be as good as it is fast to receive.)The food, the atmosphere & the service are all so upbeat here, my spirits were lifted just by stepping into the space, which is hung with a fresh take on the ancient Bharatiyan themes of the wisdom for living well that literally greet you at the door offering all who enter: The Greeting of Namaste, the Kind Wishes of the Butterfly & a Bowl of Great Food, symbols which roughly translate, "Because I see the Divine in YOU, I seek to serve your Soul with the BEST bowl of FOOD by which I can nourish you today."And nourish, the friendly folks at Choolaah did. I had two meals worth & then some... Roasted Veg Bowl, Tikka masala x 2, Basmati Rice (the Raj of Rice), Naan (which I dipped in my tikka masala to soften it up, Doc, so that I didn't rip my stitches), Mango Lassi x 2, Pav Bhaji (which was a new taste treat from the street that my partner, Aashita & I will definitely be offering as part of our own family-style menu at The Fools Rush Inn Club via our FeniTours.com Vacay with a Purpose Experience when we land in Goa, India later this year), and -- of course -- Kulfi, because there must always be KULFI!So, whether you are trying to keep your spice profile at the top of its game after oral surgery, or just plain looking for some good food inspired by the best of what Bharat can inspire in us all, head on down to Choolaah for a quick & enormously tasty bite. OR better yet... have them cater your next tasty party wherever you may go in the Greater Cleveland Area. This is truly BBQ that meets the spirit of BBQ: Good Friends, High Spirits & Good Food All Around, so that no taste bud is left behind! And you, my foodie friend, deserve to be met on that plane in this way today! SO... Y'all Come!

We went to Choolaah to grab a quick weeknight meal. The entire restaurant was nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had a number of vegan options clearly marked on the menu. That was helpful. I ordered a tofu bowl with veggies. It had a nice flavor and was plentiful. I also ordered a side of wheat naan and samosas. The naan comes wrapped in tin foil and clearly marked vegan. The naan was a little soggy by the time i unwrapped it but it was still good. The samosas were tasty and nice and crispy. I like the idea of having a pick up window and you could see a large number of take out orders ready to go. Indian food is amazing and Choolaah is a good choice for fast casual meal. It was a pleasant surprise to find out the restaurant originated in the Cleveland area.

Choolaah Westlake recently had its grand opening. I was pleasantly surprised at the flawless operations and helpful staff when I visited on a Sunday afternoon couple days after their opening.Their bold colors, modern décor, and an open kitchen set the scene for a vibrant dining experience. The staff were super welcoming and helpful, navigating the menu like seasoned pros to help me with my order.Choolaah Bowl with Chicken and Tikka Masala is wow inspiring - tender chicken coated in a creamy, tomato-based sauce with just the right kick. Naan sopped up every bit of that deliciousness (pro tip: ask for it extra crispy!).The Salmon Choolaah bowl with Chickpea Masala delivered a mouth watering aromatic chickpea based sauce over white rice. I could just each the sauce and rice. The salmon added extra bite of aromatic seafood protein. The Samosa Chaat definitely has much room for improvement. I wasn't prepared to need to break up the samosa myself and mix in the sauces to get it to be a chaat. I'm used to Samosa chaat being served mixed. The samosa were also on the cold side.Choolaah is a fresh and exciting addition to Westlake's dining scene. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, and flavorful food (with a little tweaking on the spice level) make it a great spot for a casual Indian dining. I'll definitely be back for more, and I'm excited to see how they evolve in this early stage.

First time trying Choolaah. Ordered the Paneer Wrap and they said they were out of onions. Wrap was pretty sad looking. Yellow lentil side was super watery. Not sure if I will be back.

Excellent service and food was good, but compared to authentic Indian food, all the dishes are mild in flavor (richness and spice)Also way pricey on sides like yellow lentil...I know the economy sucks under Biden but c'mon man!
