We've been ordering their takeout for many years. It's very typical as far as the menu, but they do offer Pad Thai which is a nice option. They're food is consistent & reasonably priced. The fried rice is way better than other local places. I usually don't bother eating it, but here, it's pretty darn good. I however, do not like the egg rolls, at least the ones that come with a combo. It's just shredded cabbage and the wrapper is chewy, not crunchy. Our go to is the cold sesame noodles w/peanut sauce & general tso's chicken. They taste so good together! It seems it's just take out now, but there are tables & chairs all stacked up and it looks very unwelcoming. Could definitely use some love in that space!

I wanted to really like this place but I could not give it more than 3 stars. The 3 stars were mostly because of the pork fried rice. I love that they add big chunks of onions. Rice has good flavor. Now the chicken....super chewy and hard. It was a major downer! This place would be so much better if they used better quality meats and cook fresh. My chicken tasted like it was a week old and it was almost impossible to chew and swallow. I normally find the positives in my business reviews but this was a let down for sure. If you are a vegetarian and love fried rice, then China House is the place to go. If you like chicken, stay away!

Best Chinese restaurant in Bay Village (only Chinese restaurant in Bay Village)Staff is ridiculously rude and that's what makes it so great.Called in an order and asked for an opinion on how many people my order might feed."I DONT KNOW HOW HUNGRY YOU ARE" was the answer I got, to which I replied... "Do you think maybe 3 people?"... the response: "I DONT ... KNOW ... HOW HUNGRY YOU ARE!!!!"Priceless.

Came for carryout dinner. Shrimp and garlic sauce could have had more sauce, but overall it was good. Fried rices was perfect- not too dry or too moist. Egg rolls were tasty!

1. Order not correct2. No compensation offered3. Had to return to restaurant to pick up omitted items...still wrong4. No compensation...when asked for the manager...got the owner who yelled at me for 5 minutes5. Would not remove omitted/wrongly made items...offered to make it again...meaning a third trip up there6. No more China House for us...not great food and horrible customer service

We've been going to China House for years. Hands down, THE BEST Chinese food in this area! Our orders are always done with a swiftness, but the taste is never compromised. We always get large portions for the prices as well. Which in today's world means a lot! You get MORE than you pay for, and we think everyone can appreciate that!! We love china house in Bay Village! They are one of the few spots that has tofu as an option! Always quick, hot food. We love the general tso tofu!As for the service, I think it is hysterical all the comments. Bay village has some upright people living there, it's a Chinese restaurant! Find the humor in life and the situation, we love the sassy lady at the counter and love the no nonsense attitude when ordering! We laugh every time. Find more joy in life than complaints, life's too short.Anyways it's good Chinese food on the go!

First of all this place has some of the best fried rice that I've had. Second this restaurant has the rudest employee working there and I believe her to be the owner or one of them. Rude on the phone as well as in person. But for some reason I keep going back because of the fried rice. After this last occasion I will no longer be going back and will have to travel to get a comparable fried rice. I purchased a qt. of won ton soup and a qt. of pork fried rice. Both were as expected very tasty. I did notice when I was done that the cardboard container of fried rice just looked smaller. Weird right. No, my assumption was correct. I looked at container and inspected it and noticed a 26 on bottom. I did further research on internet and found out that this container only holds 26 ounces and not the 32 ounce qt. that they advertise. That's almost a 20 percent rip off by the owner on every item sold as a qt. that is packaged in that container. What else are they cutting corners on or misleading customers with? This draws the line and I will never go back. I hope all you customers she suckered by shorting you 20 percent of what you paid for think twice about giving this establishment your hard earned money.
