I've lived in the Heights since 1987 and yesterday was my first visit! I'd always assumed it was a cheap, fast-food place, and was prepared for thick, sticky sauces and mediocre quality. I was amazed & so happy to discover instead very tasty, fresh ingredients! The fried tofu & veggies used delicate soft tofu (rather than the usual firm, rubbery stuff), the outside had a thin, tender crust. Shrimp & broccoli had LOTS of large shrimp. And most delighted to find the veggie egg foo young full of fresh, large chunks of mushrooms, red peppers and other veggies and fried to tender perfection. And the sauce had a thinner consistency than the often over-thickened, gummy variety at many Chinese restaurants. The vegetables were plentiful, mostly broccoli and carrots with a few baby corns, pea pod and bok choy. My only wish is that the broccoli be left a little crisper. Although the overcooking may have just been from sitting in the container, as we were a little late picking it up and waited a bit in line.An earlier review complained that they use MSG, but I did not have any adverse reaction, so maybe no longer use it? I hope they do not!There was a line to the door of the small, takeout-only place. The woman at the counter had to work at a fast pace, no-nonsense, but still had a smile and warm thank-you for us. Looking forward to trying more dishes soon!

While their food is good, I have to say that I witnessed Angel the owner, be extremely extremely loud and rude to her customers specifically her black customers. I thought this was a one off because I'm only in the Cleveland area about once every three or four months. But when I had a problem with my order, the same, Angel began yelling and screaming through the phone at myself. Her lack of respect, and honoring that the customer is always right, is a huge cultural. Divide for her. Whenever I come here from Washington DC, I like to stop at this restaurant but now I know she exhibits racist tendencies, and her disrespect for the very customers that helped build their livelihood.In my case, there was a discrepancy in my order as well as the price, and she yelled at me. You need to look at the menu. The person that took your order was new they didn't know so you should've looked at the menu. That's only part of the level of her voice And her lack of listening to the person that has paid their money is enough for her business to go under if it keeps happening.If her behavior doesn't change, she will not find success, and if her racist attitudes doesn't change, she will lose the majority of her customers if they value their dignity. No one should have to experience what I just went through.

i ordered sesame chicken, wasn't nasty just not appealing. my dad ordered pepper steak and liked it. I originally ordered vegetable fried rice but I changed my mind like 2 minutes after placing the order. When I called back to change it, there was no problem at all! They were extremely nice and changed it for me.

I ordered a large amount of food last week, and my family and I became very ill. My children threw up and had the runs for several days.

Bad! Prices are high, but food quality low. Worst egg rolls I have ever eaten, never had egg rolls that were mush on the inside and all I could taste was strong seasoning of black pepper, took one bite and threw the rest away, ham fried rice had plenty of ham but rice was hard. Sweet and sour chicken, bland. My first and last time eating there.

Cs was ok the lady helped with the order. The food was blah no taste at all. For the amount of food and the price it should had tasted better. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and seame chicken with fried rice and egg rolls. Seame chicken was horrible and the chicken had beer batter coating and didn't taste good. I was not impressed when a place can give u so much food means it not really that good. I won't be going back

Its was a bad experience ! First time being a customer and the lady having the order was really rude and being awful to the costumer ordering food by the phone. Really a bad review.

The egg rolls were old I had a late order. They were soggy not crispy and had a slight smell to them and the wax paper bag you couldn't tell that it had 3 egg rolls they were stuck together. End of business leftover food no good at all. I called to express my concerns on hold 15 minutes and then they hung up. I am not pleased with the way they handled this issue. I will follow up in the morning with the other person who has been working with them and see if I can get this resolved

The food here consistently delivers in both flavor and timely service, making it my go-to spot. Whether I opt for the chicken fried rice or egg foo young, I'm always pleased with the tasty and reliable dishes served here.

Rude lady that works there. Also had. The meat used didnt look or taste like chicken. Horrible
