China Bay

So good! General Tso's is actually spicy if you ask for it. Consistently great every time. We drive 20 min to get this as it's better than anything in Avon/Avon Lake.

We have been looking for a new Chinese take out place since the one we have been going to for the last 7 years started making some inconsistent food over the past 2 weeks. We saw an advertisement for China Bay and gave them a shot and are glad we did! Their cuts of meat seem to be of a higher quality then others we have tried. Of course I would expect this quality from an actual sit down restaurant but for a take out joint we were pleasantly surprised. We had their broccoli chicken, general tso, sweet and sour chicken and boneless spare ribs and all of the flavors were spot on! Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the lunch buffet very much, so I'm quite saddened that it is discontinued for the moment now, but the crew is very friendly & helpful at processing your orders and quick serve. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends/family!

Horrible! Absolutely horrible food. Completely flavorless. Don't waste ur time or money! There's NO EXCUSE for not seasoning your food. Needless to say, I'll NEVER order food from there again!

I was definitely wanting to try a good Chinese meal today. We just moved to the area and I thought why not try it out. I'm so glad I decided to order from this place. The pork lo mein was yummy and chicken and broccoli was fresh with fluffy white rice along with egg rolls. So tasty I will most definitely be ordering from here again!

Outstanding customer service, fresh/hot food at a reasonable price! The mushroom chicken is OUTSTANDING, they also have the best fried rice in Lorain county(it's authentic/not yellow with peas/Carrots in it ). Also, the egg rolls are huge and delicious! We highly recommend checking it out.

We got carry out while staying in a nearby hotel. The food stayed piping hot during our trek back to the hotel. By far, the best hot and sour soup we. Have ever tasted. Broth was the perfect consistency- and full of veggies. The Golden fried vegetable rice was delicious. And the Kung Pao Chicken was amazing- full of crisp vegetables , tender chicken and peanuts. The perfect degree of spicy for this non-Asian couple . We recommend this place to lovers of American Chinese food.

There are only two REAL Chinese restaurants in the area run by Chinese. I am on business and tried both of them. China bay is much better than Hunan King. The quality of food is better. Price is a bit cheaper. I give China Bay 4 stars and Hunan King 3 stars.Both restaurants are run my Chinese. They speak Mandarin. Most of the dishes are authentic Chinese dishes. Please don't order # H06 (Seafood Pan Fried Noodle). They are not using the right noodle for this dish. It was awful.I was a Chinese chef when I was in college for 5 years. I know Chinese food. You will be happy with the Chinese food at China Bay.

Their food is OK. Their service and professionalism is horrible. We ordered $50 in food. Egg fu young was one of the dishes. They put the gravy in a cup which was near the bottom of the bag. When we got home the cup was crushed to this ridiculous manner of packing. What's egg fu young without gravy? My wife went to them the next day to explain the issue and a guy came from back yelling and screaming at her. He says that is how they always pack their stuff. Ultimately after cursing said there is nothing they could do it was too much work to make some more gravy. Will certainly never shop here again and all I can say is you've been warned.

Best Chinese spot in Elyria and it's not even close. Can't say enough about the prices, portions, and food overall. Love this place and frequent it often.
