Good ice cream. Flavors you wouldn't expect. The two teenagers working were knowledgeable and friendly.

Yum, yum, and yummmmm!!! "There's always room for ice cream", it says on the side of their building, and you should ALWAYS leave room for some of their tasty treats. Good service, delicious ice cream, and a great location where you can sit outside and watch the Cuyahoga River slowly flow by (and maybe see a random kayaker or two as well), shaded by colorful sails above. They are within walking distance to the Portage Parks hike and bike trail, so stop by after a walk or ride. You won't regret it!

Truly the best ice cream in Ohio. The employees are always friendly and professional. And the scoops of ice cream are huge. My favorite flavors are Michigan Pothole, Eskimo Kisses and Nanna's Bananas. Also, the ice cream store is located on the banks of the Upper Scenic Cuyahoga River. This section has the best water quality of any river in Ohio. There are 46 species of fish, bald eagles, beavers and otters in the river.

I ordered the smallest size they offer in a cup. For only $2, you get two large scoops. Super price! Both my scoops were their Michigan Pothole flavor (chocolate ice cream with a bunch of stuff added), with Peanut Butter Sauce added on top, for an extra 50 cents. See my picture. My friend ordered her favorite, one scoop of Amaretto Cherry and second scoop of Pistachio Almond, also the smallest size for $2. Her husband loves their Butter Pecan, but today got one scoop of Cookies N Cream and second Strawberry Cheesecake, also the $2 size. Forgot to take pics of their ice creams. Because it was a picture-perfect weather day, we sat on the deck on comfortable cushioned seats. There is plenty of seating on the deck, with umbrellas for shade. There is also seating inside. Due to all the recent rain, the River next to the deck was higher than usual, but very pleasant. The two young women, that worked at the counter, were super nice, helpful and efficient. I would definitely recommend this cute ice cream shop in downtown Mantua!

As one of the newer businesses in the tiny little quiet town of Mantua, Chilling Station offers a big bang for your buck! Located on the Cuyahoga River ; you can enjoy out door seating that over looks the dirty water with banks littered with trash from the shop itself or sit inside. Although it might not be located in the most scenic part of town; as you are also surrounded by a factory & have a car wash across the street, the shop itself was clean & welcoming. The staff was friendly and the prices were awesome, my family of five (all got single scoops)walked out of there for just $14.00! And trust me, a single is equal to two scoops at other shops. They offer traditional flavors but had some more unique combinations as well. I typically avoid cheesecake ice creams because I don't like the chunks of crust of texture. However, I risked trying the lemon bar cheesecake ice cream & was rewarded with a smooth, perfectly flavored treat. One of the things I liked the best about the shop is that they are currently doing Christmas in July,providing a donation box for non-perishable food items for the 4C's. They also offered holiday flavors such as "Tis the Season" & " Christmas & Cream". I would gladly come back & try their other delicious flavors!

Best Ice cream around!!! Wonderful customer service. Reasonably priced. Worth checking out for sure!

We stopped by just before closing the other week. The ice creams were very tasty, and my wife got a lemon sorbet she said was the best she's ever had. I can confirm the large servings, even a "small" was a lot. Don't hesitate to downsize unless you're a huge ice cream fan. :-)The atmosphere is lacking a bit - not a whole lot of nice scenery despite the patio right on the river - but the owners have provided nice seating and tables to encourage loitering with friends.It's worth the drive to this cool spot in my hometown. Check the hours before you come - this time of the year, they're only open weekends.

Amazing ice cream and beautiful patio next to the Cuyahoga River! So many choices from which to choose!
