The Mish Mosh Soup is amazing!! Plenty to share with two people. I love bring new faces to Chicago Deli and introducing them to all the great food.

Ordered a corned beef and pastrami to go. $18 Terrible. There was more fat than meat. It was ice cold. The amount of meat was very disappointing. No return visit.

The food was awful. Had the garden skillet which smelled like fish as soon as he sat it down due to the rotten mushrooms used. There were so many mushrooms the scrambled eggs were an off putting grey color. The server never came back to check on us so I never got a chance to tell him about the rotten mushrooms, the fact that they never gave me the potatoes that were supposed to come with it or the fact that he gave me sour cream instead of cream cheese for my bagel. Not going back it's gone so downhill since the last time I was there. I can make a better breakfast at home and faster and cheaper.

Food has gone downhill. Got the half-pound hot dog, and it's no longer all beef, or even good, just mushy. Chili has less flavor to it. No more veggie burgers. Matzo ball soup is still decent, though.

Went to Chicago Deli probaly for the last time. prices going up everytime I go there, Staff getting smaller along with favorites on menu. Due to new owners I guess. Service still good in spite of smaller staff.

New owners. New problems. I've been coming for about 20 years, and this is not the same business anymore. The last two times I went was under new ownership, and each time, I had different problems. On the first visit, they took 45 minutes to make a hamburger. It came out burnt. I sent it back. They remade it, but I didn't get food for an hour. In some circumstances, I wouldn't have been able to wait. The second time I came back, the burger patty was no longer the same as I had expected. It had shrunk, the meat quality had dropped, and the menu had changed overall to remove items. Looks like the new owners bought the brand and are trying to shore up the profits to pay back on their investment. Too bad they are messing with what worked. Regrettably, I have made the decision not to return anytime soon. The changes made under the new ownership have significantly altered the dining experience, and I no longer feel the same level of enjoyment dining here that I once did.

I enjoy this restaurant, and we eat here frequently when in town. Their dessert cakes are fabulous; I don't know where they acquire their cakes and pies, but wow, get a piece to take home, and today we brought home Carrot Cake. We enjoy their soups; Matza is my favorite. I love their Chicken Shwarma Wrap, and today I ordered a traditional chicken sandwich with Swiss and bacon; it was perfect. My companion ordered the Turkey Club. The service here is excellent, and every time I have gone, management has visited my table to ensure my order meets with satisfaction. I can't say enough about this deli. I've been going here for years; it is a local treasure. Everything is delicious.

First time here. Seems very busy but they keep it moving. Large to go orders going out. Short wait for a table. Huge bowl of chicken noodle soup. Good but too many onions for us. Corned beef was outstanding! They say it is the best. Steak fries were good - no salt, but you can add what you want. Vegetable medley was good - just the right crisp! The California BLT was good. I skipped the ranch. Sorry ranch lovers, but if you have to add ranch I would rather skip it. Love the grilled wrap. So much bacon!!! Staff was moving quickly! Signed up for their rewards. We plan to return! Did not try them but check out the cakes if you stop by! They look great.

New ownership has destroyed this once busy restaurant. Corned beef was chewy and tasteless - rye bread was stale and dry. Chucken soup was watery and tasteless. Shrimp fry was fine, but fries were just warm ( not freshly dropped)The staff was apologetic and quickly adjusted our bill and said food has changed - said CB quality is based on who cooked it. Yuck - won't b back unless for breakfast

what a disappointment. We have been going there for at least 30 years. I had always been our go to destination for excellent chicken noodle soup. Alas no more. There may have been chicken in the soup but we couldn't find it. Noodles there were only a few, broth was at best bland. I understand that there are new owners. They should understand that we will pay for quality but not mediocre food. Won't go back.
