Chef Carolyn's Exotic Cuisine

Random Friday night drive to look for a new business to try and came across this place. Local, small spot with a fairly amount of food options to choose from but not so many drinks. Food portions are large but the veggies appeared to be those from the frozen section - can tell by the cut and taste. I didn't like being served hot food in styrofoam containers. Not great for the environment, nor do I want to sit at a nice bar and eat food out of to go containers with plastic forks. I wanted to order some of the veggie pies but they didn't have them because the chef didn't make the dough that day. She apologized, which was kind. The food was a bit bland for the style, I expected more spice. The curry was a bit soupy as well, lacking vegetables and seasoning. My $8 vodka and soda(should have been soda water but I got sprite) came in a small plastic cup with little ice. Had to ask the bar tender multiple times for the drinks. They did not have a large selection of drinks. She might been having too much fun that night. The space is large and more designed for a dance hall with little to no tables and a large bar.

THIS IS THE BEST Caribbean, (Trinidad) spot in Cleveland!! I've never had food this flavorful. Every bite had love dumped all in it. Portions were big, with a price is more then reasonable... and the cooking...TBH... this needs to be ok DDDS (diners, drive ins and dives) on the food network. Yeah. Seriously it's THAT good. Try it and tell all of your friends.

I absolutely love this family owned business! The food is amazing, the chef is incredible, the hospitality is A+, safe good environment, good people, good times, good energy, good food & good drinks! You can't beat that.

The food is so good here. I really enjoyed it. Parking is difficult, but the food makes up for it.

Only Trinidadian spot nearby and it's delicious! Puts these Jamaican business to shame

i ordered a half jerk chicken with rice/peas and curried veggies. it comes with plantains and i also got a dinner salad on the side (cucumber salad was out, now i feel like i need to go back and try it). yoooo the food here is so good. and everyone working is so friendly. shameika (girl im so sorry if i misspelled your name) recommended getting a side of the pepper sauce and its BOMB. anyway. there's pool and video game inside. thank u chef carolyn for feeding me while im visiting cleveland.

Me and my wife stopped in this evening for dinner and it did not disappoint. I had the jerk chicken cabbage,greens and rice and peas it spectacular my wife had catfish with man&cheese and cabbage he was pleased as well. The portions are generous the staff is super friendly we'll be back when we're in the area for sure.
