Food was sub par Over priced $18 burger not worth it Poor serviceTook a long time to get some drinks Salmon ok but not great Issues w the bill

Weirdly not a busy brunch place which is crazy because they have a variety of options and is a prime spot in rocky river with parking and has breakfast drinks! Brunch burger was juicy and large and I didn't even touch the chips because I was so full already.

This place is a MUST go to. Number one the inside of the restaurant is amazingly decorated with fitting decor for the place. The lighting and wood aesthetic fits perfect. The service is so friendly and kind. SUPER fast I asked for a refill of a drink and instantly he came back with a new one. He was so helpful with what is good on the menu and what he recommends. The side of poutine was amazing everything was fresh and SO flavorful nothing tasted bad. The Char burger was amazing so flavorful and was dripping in flavor. So delicious and I am coming back to Char. If you are In the area or want a place to go eat Char is a must go to

Went here for the first time and absolutely loved it. They told us the were short staffed and we may experience a longer wait for food but we did not and the service was excellent. The wedge salad was my favorite and I recommend adding chicken. The berry salad was also very enjoyable.

Love their craft cocktails! We usually go for drinks and heavy apps. Love that the menu changes seasonally. Great cozy place and definitely make a reservation.

I come here when I want a good sip of bourbon. Not so much for the food. I ate here before, I was unimpressed. Service was great.

We had a great dinner visit to Char! Our server was fantastic! Great drinks (cocktails & selection of liquors) and they even make mocktails for those who do not partake in libations. I thoroughly enjoyed my server's recommendation of a Blackberry Smash mocktail -- beautiful presentation and refreshing! The food was also quite good. The pomme frites with garlic aioli were addicting and the Char Wedge was huge! My husband loved the mango rice that came with his halibut and everyone enjoyed the short rib poutine. I would definitely come back!

We are new to the area and don't know our way around. As it turned out we had guests coming, last minute, on a Sunday-as a birthday surprise. We were able to make reservations online for the time we needed. And although it felt like we were taking a chance, Everything was amazing: ambiance, service, food! CHAR accommodated special dietary needs, made thoughtful recommendations, and made our spontaneous birthday celebration a real celebration!We will be back!

I always go to Char on my birthday - well, maybe a few more times than that. I love their lobster rolls and can't even bring myself to order anything else! It's buttery and the generous amount of lobster. The bread is very good and the side of chips is a perfect side. Will come back as long as they have this on the menu. My family has enjoyed their food as well (I only have eyes for one thing so I don't know what they ate) Nice location on Detroit in RR and the restaurant is decorated like a cool and trendy restaurant. Great experience!

Don't get the cornbread. $12 for the smallest piece. Pen in pic for reference.We used to frequent this place quite a bit, but portion sizes are smaller and they got rid of some of our favorite entrees.Whiskey prices are overpriced as well.
