Chagrin Tavern

First time we visited since the ownership changed. We came for the prime rib and weren't disappointed. The service was great.The owner actually talked to us and was very friendly and personally served our food order. He was always around observing what was happening. True professional.

The service was so slow! Took 1/2 hour at 7:00 pm just to get water! Then the drinks came 10 minutes later. Then had to find the server to order! Then they were out of what I wanted..while other tables got what I wanted! Then...I ordered a bowl of soup..got a cup! I had them fill it again! Food finally came..one hour and 40 minutes later! When you have a band like Rock the House there...you should be more prepared! Never again! I'll go to Castaways!!

My friends and I dined at Chagrin Tavern 7/29! Our awesome server was Holly she was amazing. Holly was very attentive and made sure our food came out very fast and hot. She also made many accommodations for us. We started out inside and wanted outside seating and she made it happen. Then the sun was intense she moved us inside without any hesitation. Again Holly was amazing. The food was very good. We did appetizers and entrees. The nachos and calamari were delicious the mozzarella sticks were as well. The bar was clean and full because of the band. The bathrooms could stand more attention all the stall didn't have tissue. I told a server and next restroom trip was much better.

It was decent . I had a veggie burger . It was good. The fry were alittle greasy . The waitress was nice . The views are pretty

We were a little worried based on the other reviews but we had a very nice lunch at Chagrin Tavern. The location is beautiful, right on the Chagrin River, and the restaurant is very nice. Our service was good -- prompt and friendly -- and our meals were good. We both had burgers which we enjoyed with very tasty fries. We will definitely be back!

Family took us here before we were heading out on the lake to watch the sunset. The visit seemed promising at first since our waitress was nice enough. We ordered a couple salads, wings, and a burger with a side salad. The side salad came out fast but we had no utensils. Our waitress never checked back. Finally after about 45 minutes of waiting we flagged someone down to ask about our food. That brought our waitress back and she said the kitchen told her to "get out" (she seriously said that). Finally after we'd been there an hour everything came except my burger. That took another 5 minutes. The waitress never offered us new drinks or refills on our water. She did bring the check promptly. We missed the sunset. Crappy place. We'll pack a picnic next time.

Thank you Chagrin River Tavern for saving our Reunion!Our pre-60th Richmond Hts. class reunion was all set for Friday, August 9th. The next day we had a dinner set up at a local restaurant but due to the storm and them having no power we had to find a new venue. We panicked! We asked the Chagrin Tavern if they would be available again for us on Saturday, August 10th. We appreciate them for the last minute save!!! We had a wonderful time on Friday and Saturday! Thank you from the Richmond Hts. High School class of 1964!! We were the first graduating class of the school! Great food and service!!

Went to Chagrin Tavern for our anniversary. My husband ordered the fried perch, it was AWFUL! We tried to talk to the owner but he did not care, he said that was the way they make it, pretty much our complaint did not matter to him.For $27, we were served dry, rubbery fish which was covered in scales. Next time it's Long John Silvers!.

HORRIBLE! I got the perch platter. The perch was so hard fried it was like cardboard. It smelled so fishy too. What was that breading anyway??? The fries were so greasy I could have wrung the grease out with my hands. The waitress gave us a bowl of lemons and on the bottom were rotting lemons...like growing pink stuff. Our waitress was talkative, too talkative, nice but enough is enough. I mean if the food was stellar I could have overlooked our waitress, but ya know.I will NEVER go there again.

Servers were rude and so was the owner. Loud and rowdy Not a relaxing place I won't go back.
