Casey's Ice Cream & Candies

202408011920Ah Yum! Two little gals working hard to serve up some salivating ice cream shakes or sundaes. The Nutter Butter shake is so delicious that I inhaled it before taking a picture. The Salted Caramel, also good. In fact, it's probably all good. There's also homemade candies and confection. The place is reminiscent of the old ice cream shops with the buckets of ice cream behind the glass. The walls are decorated with a cornucopia of frames listing the many flavors. Don't walk, run.

Been here a few times, always had good service. The ice cream portions are massive - I mistakenly ordered a medium one time and couldn't finish even half of it! Their ice cream combinations and flavors are unique and personalized to the Meadville area, which is so neat! Not sure if they typically have a place to sit inside to enjoy, but there was nothing when I went, but this could be due to COVID. There are a few benches outside, but we just sat in our car and ate our ice cream. Otherwise, cute place!

I am from Alliance, Ohio area, and we have Almost Heaven Ice cream shop. This place had glowing reviews, but I didn't taste any Heaven in my ice cream here. I had a cup of squirrel Treat, and found it lacking. Headed back to my favorite ice cream place in Alliance to get my ice cream fix. This just didn't do it for me. Almost Heaven has absolutely ruined me. Thankfully my favorite ice cream is close by. This place did smell like Heaven though.

The ice cream is so good! I've been to alot of ice cream places and this is definitely my favorite!

Delicious, and generous with their sample tasting. Was hoping for a candy choice - given the name, but looks like it recently opened and haven't finished setting up the shop.

If Meadville could be known for something on a national scale, top-notch ice cream would be high in the running. And one of the top 2 contenders would be Casey's Ice Cream. Casey's provides the classic flavors, (Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry), but really shines with amazingly inventive concoctions. Some favorite non-traditional recipes include:Meadville Mud - Chocolate on chocolate on MORE CHOCOLATEFluff and Stuff - Peanut Butter Cookies in ice cream!Sweet Potato Casserole - Think Thanksgiving, but COLDER! Fire and Ice - Habanero puree in ice creamGoooo Bacon! - Bacon Chunks in a sweet cream Ice Cream. ...and many, many more.Casey's also offers exceptional fruit-flavored ice creams. Strawberry cheesecake is always a winner. The biggest star belongs to the seasonal favorite, Pumpkin, which is difficult to keep in the cooler due to high demand.Bring a large appetite to Casey's: A typical waffle cone contains two LARGE scoops and is priced reasonably. (And, there are also free samples for those looking to branch out and be brave.) It doesn't matter what it takes to slay your sweet tooth: Casey's will have the right flavor for you. (Just leave some for me.)

Just visited their new building tonight. The ice cream is delicious and prices for quantity is on point. Disappointed that there wasn't any seating at all. Why build such a large place and not provide seating for at least a grandma in the group of customers? I mean, grandma loves ice cream too, but she might want to get off her feet.‍

This is one of those places that gets it right in the Meadville area. Amazing handcrafted ice cream that uses quality ingredients available at good prices. This place is definitely worth the calorie splurge and in my humble opinion, beats Hanks. Yes, you can all give me the Amish shun now for saying that aloud.If you happen to be driving west on 322 out of Meadville, stop at this place. Maybe first stop and get some footlongs at Eddie's, then stop here for a dessert. I can't guarantee that you'll be able to button your jeans the next day, but I can guarantee you'll be full and in a happy food coma :)The flavors I recommend from Casey's:Rum RaisinPumpkinMeadville MudAnd basically anything else they serve. Those are really good starters, though.

New Look, more parking, just as delicious. At least 30 flavors to sink your teeth into, had Elephant Tracks, vanilla with peanut butter fudge, hit the spot. If I would have thought about it, their PB fudge is a can't miss, devouring a box there isn't hard to do.

Wow! This place could put Ben & Jerry's out of business...(and should!). Dad had chocolate fudge in a freshly baked waffle cone....very fresh and delicious. I had an oddity....SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE. Beyond AMAZING,!! I'm ordering a gallon of it for Thanksgiving....truly that good! Sweet potatoes, toasted coconut, candied pecans and marshmallows. My life's best ice cream flavor ever!!!
