Carmie's BBQ & Grill

When I pulled into the parking lot of the Hampton Inn on Sunday afternoon for my 10 night stay, I noticed this place but wondered if it was even open based on the two cars in the parking lot. It came up in my restaurant suggestions but I'm not much for BBQ so I really didn't have any plans to visit. My 3 co-workers wanted to give it a try on Wednesday night so after a glance at the online menu I decided there were a few things that I might care to try and decide to go along. We tried 3 appetizers (mozzarella sticks, shrimp basket, and onion rings). As we dug in to these, we were like "Wow" this is pretty good! I ordered the 3 cheese chicken with a side of tater tots. Very tasty! My coworkers enjoyed their entrees as well. One commented that it was the best wrap she had ever had. Our server Nyzziah was delightful and played along with our childish humor like a pro. Six more nights in town and we all definitely plan to return.

Always great service and excellent food. Smoked wings are an absolute favorite, trio dip is a must and fried pickle chips. Love the Italian subs and buffalo chicken flatbread. Affordable drinks!!!

Total trash! Like it had been dressed for like an hour or something, not even romaine lettuce. I'd avoid this place !!!

The service was great, the server kept up with water and checked on us to make sure we had our needs met. The soup was a bit watery, sandwiches were good, the buffalo chicken flatbread was overpowered with sauce... overall everything was pretty "meh". The price point did not match the food we were given, maybe the service. Would I go back? Probably not, not because it was awful, but because it was just average.

I was staying at the Hampton next door to this restaurant and did a yelp search like I usually do in a new town. I checked Yelp and the ratings looked horrible. While I was checking into the hotel, the very polite person at the front desk suggested the BBQ place next door. He said he had suggested many times and never heard a negative review. I really didn't feel like getting back in the truck so I gave it a try.I stuck with the basics and ordered a pull pork sandwich, French fries and Mac & cheese. Wow was I surprised it wasn't good it was GREAT!The pork was juicy and the sauce was sassy.The old school fries were off the hook!The Mac & cheese was rich and creamy with a spicy kick.

Bbq? If your looking for a bbq style dinner go any where other than this place, food I ordered was the driest and had no sauce whats so ever, with a whole lists of sauces to choose from just for it to taste bland, very unhappy with my first and last experience at carmies.

Brisket was smoked to perfection Service was great. Super nice. Ambiance has that hometown feel. If you travel for work, like I do a lot, this place I very conveniently located, the food hits the spot, and the people are very nice and not overbearing.

Delicious. Seriously satisfying food. Everything I've ever ordered was better then average. Great service even when they are slammed. Cute for a sports bar atmosphere. Am a returning customer and highly suggest.

If I could give minus stars I would, we were in Tiffin visiting our son on Easter weekend. Our son suggested Carmies we all ordered different things my guy got a rack of ribs. Needless to say he was awake all night vomiting and with diarrhe. We drove 3 hours to spend Easter with our son and his girlfriend and Easter was my guy's birthday. So my guy spent the entire day in the bathroom we had reservations at a restaurant in tiffin for Easter dinner and he made us go while he laid on our sons couch sick. He was sick for several days. If it was a virus I would have had it so we were pretty sure he had food poisoning. This place needs shut down. FYI they have had several food inspectors violation. Buyer beware if your thinking about choosing this place for dinner.
