Old School and Cash only is the name of the game. Hours are limited and you still need to find time to get here. The dough is great the sauce is better and the toppings are the best. Any Cleveland pizza list you read with that garbage in Lakewood is clown show and you need to get here to try real Cleveland pie.

What do you do when you're being touristy in a city you're not familiar with and need a late dinner? Order from Domino's or another national chain just to be safe? NEVER! You try out a local joint... Preferably the diviest one you can find. Carmella's was the perfect fit! Not our beloved hometown pie but a solid win just the same. Definitely a tad to the divey side. Take-out and cash only. No paper plates or napkins. The staff had a bit of a Bill and Ted feel... meaning perhaps a little befuddled but so nice and helpful. The pizza was great! Crust was just right, nice balance of cheese, sauce and toppings and flavorful. Best I've had in Ohio. If you find yourself on the east side of Cleveland Carmella's is a good call!

1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni was tasty! the perfect amount of cheese to sauce & the pepperoni wasn't over powering. Fluffy dough, but perfect crunchy crust! Perfect takeout pizza!

This neighborhood treasure has been a wonderful place to get pizza. Over the years, I have moved from a tomato-based to a white sauce base, and the pizza is still delicious. Service is always on point; as a matter of fact, I think they know some of the regular customers as well, to me, that's a good feel. It only has takeout service, but every time I come, it feels like a Homey place.

Carmella's Pizza is the best pizza in Cleveland area. Small family owned and definitely not your typical chain pizza place. It's cash only and worth every dollar! You won't find better pizza in the city.

This pizza was average. Not bad but not great. It is value priced which is good, and I don't mind that they are a cash only spot.The sauce was unremarkable, but the toppings were plentiful and fresh

Similar taste to the original Master Pizza, flavourful & fresh ingredients, price was good, taste was GREAT, the sausage was extremely good.

Love this place.Yes great memories of pizza from back in the 60's.Wish they still had the great salads on the menu.Glad newer owner has kept the old pizza recipe.Glad they don't rush the cooking so it comes out just right.
