Carlone's Candy and Ice Cream

Another old school place for ice cream. Carlone's had a decent selection to choose from. It even has some non dairy options. Basic quality of ice cream. They're skimpy with servings which aren't as cheap as they were. Has a window to order at. It doesn't have much seating available. There's a few tables but they're in the hot sun. Getting umbrellas would be nice. Whatever though because the last time here the ice cream was already melting and needed to be eaten quickly. As for the ice cream, it's good. It's about $3 for a scoop in a cup. They have a few non dairy flavors. It currently has vegan cookies and cream. This is made with almond milk. It tastes like actual ice cream. There's lots of cookie pieces. It overall is pretty good. It could give you more for what you pay. The quality is good though.

I asked for a Darn sample and this is all that the guy gave me. I was so angry i stormed out of there... we won't be back after this being our first visit!

Delicious hard pack ice cream with tons of choices! The Cow Tipping - a caramel swirl ice cream with chocolate covered caramel cows (yes seriously cows) lol was delish - as was the S$&! Just Got Real ice cream - hubbers indulged my "decadent order" as I double scooped those (blame it on pregnancy craving if you will) but when he saw it - he did the same thing! Boom! Solid choice for a tasty treat - while not made in house it's better than anything store bought you are going to take home & friendly as you can get.

Great, old-school, basic ice cream shop. You know--like the ones you went to when you were little. Lots of soft-serve flavors, hard-packed for hand-scooped goodness, flurries, sundaes, etc. Their hand-scooped isn't made in house, but none of the ice cream is from what I saw. There are a few food items, like hotdogs and nachos. It's staffed by what looks like high schoolers. Oh--plus there is outdoor and indoor seating. The hours are pretty awesome in the summer, too. Solid, predictable and tasty.

Cute ice cream spot. Soft serve is good but the portion size is a little small for the price. Overall very clean and friendly. Owners are there often to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Awesome old school ice cream shop! You have two choices. Come inside or order at the window. Wide variety of choices and for some reason their vanilla ice cream taste so much better than any other vanilla I've tasted before. Weird but awesome.

Ordered an 00 Oreo today at carloads good thing only gave me two scoops because the whole bottom was empty I was very disappointed my child cried

this place is very avant garde. the ice cream is extremely delicious but the posters are outdated and the owner was just straight up rude. I felt bad for the staff as this old woman going by the name of lisa screamed at them. overall keep the staff, sell the business. Staff earns 5 stars yet "lisa" earns 0.

We have gone to Carlone's for hot fudge sundaes and turtle sundaes. They are the best around! Tonight, we went to Dairy Queen in Madison and it was, sorry to have to say, pathetic. Keep up the great work Carlone's!

Staff is wonderful, however the owner is the most unprofessional and disrespectful women i've met. Ice cream is great but way overpriced, two scoops of ice cream is $4.75 and they don't even except credit or debit. Overall not the best experience.
