Captain Arthur's

Stopped in for a fish sandwich today because I was nostalgic for the old Arthur Treacher's style fish. (This place used to be an Arthur Treacher's). Happily, the fish has that same great taste that I remember. Wonderful staff here. I was greeted promptly by Denise, who took my order and submitted it to the kitchen for preparation. Took only a minute, and I was biting into a delightful fish sandwich. They have redecorated the interior of the restaurant and it brightens it up nicely. Give this place a try if you love seafood.

5/5 - Taste - Delicious fish, chips and slaw! Cooked fresh to order and served HOT! They even have malt vinegar. 5/5 Service - The woman who works the drive thru was super helpful. She didn't rush the ordering process and more importantly, got the order right! She even gave us some coupons for future visits once all was paid for. Nice

Drive thru only, but time it right during lunch and the food will be hot. Got the clam and fish combo. Not that salty greasy stuff like at Long John Silvers. Hot. Thin crispy coating (unlike Ling John's, which is more salty batter than fish, blech!) hot chips (I mean proper English style chips) fish, hush puppies, even the clams were hot. Easy four for the food.

As a SoCal "foodie" transplant to OH, I'm always seeking the best hole-in-the-wall, re-opening, or small family run joints. Formerly, Arthur Treacher's, one sample of their rib night special, has me yearning for more on the menu. I always walk in, order and watch. I walked in, ordered a full slab of ribs dinner and took advantage of the Thurs & Sat, "Buy 1 rib dinner, get another, 1/2 off" deal. Of course! Quite pleasantly surprised! While about a 15 min wait (I was a walk-in, expected it) watched fish & chips, chix coming out and looked great. My turn! Gathered my bags of goodies. I'd NEVER had a hushpuppy (other than shoes, when I was a kid). My brother had and stated he wasn't fond. Next morning - "OMG! Those are THE BEST HUSHPUPPIES I'VE EVER HAD!" I don't do chicken but can't wait to go back and try the fish & chips dinner. Sides of clams and more Hushies! And, shrimp. And, they actually have cocktail sauce to dip your shrimp. NOT, just tarter sauce, but cocktail sauce. Granted, it's not my own homemade,cuz, I'm on the flyby, BUT, the fact they offer/have (even in the packet) is a miracle. Will update soon. Get it while you can! This restaurant chain has largely gone out of business. 850 locations in the 1980's. Fewer than 20 now. This one is still in business for obvious reasons. I just had fish, clams, shrimp, hush puppies, fries and a lemon pie. Everything was perfection. I mean...perfect. Quick service, fresh, hot, clean, friendly, etc. 5 stars without hesitation.

Fast and friendly service! The food is always HOT and fresh! The same old recipe from Arthur Treacher's. Consistent great quality food!

We stumbled across this location yesterday and just had to stop (the ones in our area closed 30+ years ago). Although it looked kinda desolate and run down from the outside we still went in and were very pleasantly surprised! Inside was clean and adorably decorated for fall. Husband reported the restroom was spotless.The service was pleasant and the food was hot, well cooked, and delicious!! The lemon pie is still made the tasty way (fried). We absolutely enjoyed this and also made sure to do a Facebook check-in; all our friends were jealous and now want to go too

On June 15, 2019 my fiancé and I were in West Mifflin, PA. My parents had mentioned to me weeks prior about Arthur Treacher's and said we'd have to check it out! We found this location because it was little over an hour away and we knew we would make it before they closed for the night. Boy, were we wrong about that.... After leaving West Mifflin and driving an hour in the rain, we made it to Youngstown, Ohio at 8:25pm. I checked my phone and saw Arthur Treacher's was to close at 9:00 pm. We were glad we made it with half hour to spare. As we drive closer, we can see Arthur Treacher's with their "open" sign on the windows. But, we also see a woman vacuuming the carpet. We figure, it's 8:30, I'm sure she'll stop vacuuming. We park the car outside and gathered our stuff to head in for dinner. As we were standing in the rain, we heard this old lady yell and say: "we close! We close!" And a door slams. We look and the woman who was yelling "we close" was the woman vacuuming. We couldn't believe how they decided to close 30 mins early. As we left, we drove back to Pennsylvania because our hotel was in West Middlesex. We eventually got dinner at Red Lobster. No wonder these Arthur Treacher's locations are dropping like flies off the face of the earth. Need better employees who will keep the restaurant open for their desired times... not close early because they felt like it.

Always liked their fish, but got their ribs the other day for a change of pace. They melt in your mouth!

So the hours on line on several different sights say close at 9 pm! Pulled through drive through at 8:15 lights on and employee is standing at counter starring at me she stares at me for 5 min with headset on! When I proceeded to drive around drive through to check hours and leave she took headset off and turned her back to me! Hours say 9 pm! I called and asked when the closed and the girl said 8 pm and proceeded to get rude and give excuses when I said on line it says 9! I love arthurvtreachers and am there 3 times a week but never again.!
