This small, inconspicuous taco joint has been serving Nasa employees, auto workers, area residents, and Cleveland Hopkins travelers alike since 1976. Yet, despite years of economic decline and loss of industrial jobs in the area, it continues to thrive with a solid menu and decent portions.If you're seeking an authentic Mexican culinary experience, this probably isn't the place; however, if you want to deviate from the likes of Taco Bell, Moes, Chipoltle, or other Tex-Mex options, you might be surprised at what you'll find here. With options ranging from tacos, burritos, tostadas, Mexican pizza, taco salad, and even hot dogs, there is always something different to try.I settled on two bean and rice burritos, both of which were filling and loaded with flavor. I was satisfied with my decision and have been back several times with zero disappointment. If you ever find yourself out near the airport and want to try something different, check out Capn Taco!

The best description I can give of Cap'n Taco is "Old School", it has been there a long time and just seems like nothing has changed. A small store in which half is the take out counter and kitchen and the other half is a small dining room. The decor of the dining room has a bunch of old flying memorabilia which makes for a cool atmosphere.The menu is nothing special, an assortment of the basic Mexican items; tacos, burritos etc. I was there on a Thursday and they had a buy 1 burrito, get 1 at half off special so I went with a bean and cheese burrito and a crab burrito. The burritos came out fairly quickly wrapped in paper with little packets of salsa on the side. Both burritos were rather small. The refried beans were ok, but nothing special I was disappointed with the cheese, which seemed to be processed cheese rather then using real cheese. The crab was the the artificial crabstick, no surprise at the price, but still disappointing. Overall the food was decent, just not very flavorful or special. There are so many other options that I would prefer. I was especially disappointed to get salsa packets, clearly the cheapest, easiest and worst option.About the only thing I can recommend is that you stop in and check out the memorabilia in the dining room.

Menu was good. The food was breathtakingly hot, seems fresh, and it's pretty tasty. First time I've ever been here, mother-in-law is late to arrive in Cleveland so here I am. I can do a lot worse than this place. Honestly, taco Bell would be worse than this place. It's in the industrial area where they make engines for General Motors. Honestly I'm totally digging it. I had to achieve $10 on my credit card do use it here, everything was great for $10. I should've ordered more for leftovers. $10 it seemed excessive, now it seems like I should've ordered that much and more, go there, spend your wages. My mother-in-law would've loved a road burrito, unfortunately I ate it.

Cap'n Taco is a cool little place situated on Brookpark Road. I came here with my brother for the $.79 cent taco Tuesday special. He got some of the hard shell tacos and I got the chicken California burrito. I really liked the California burrito, the chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy inside a deep fried shell with cheese. The hard shell tacos were basic tacos with meat, lettuce, and cheese. They came with packets of taco sauce which give the tacos a bit of flavor. The sauce is not spicy at all. My brother also got a side of rice and it was sort of dry and bland, nothing the taco sauce couldn't fix.The inside of the restaurant was colorful and clean. The people working were really friendly and happy which is always a good thing. Also, the prices are really great! Overall, we will return. There's a lot of other items on the menu we can't wait to try, especially the desserts.

I love the place and the owner. Tacos are my favorite. But I haven't eaten there since they closed their dining area. I bought a new truck and I will not eat in it. I usually have a worker with me and nobody eats in my new truck. I live to far away to take it home. I drive by occasionally to see if the dining room is open.

Awesome food and fast drive through service. Burritos are amazing. Beef and Chicken. Try one of each.

I had my 1st taco from the Captain when he had a store by Great Northern mall. I've been going to the Brookpark store since 1981? Tasty tacos, California burritos, 1/2lb beef burrito elites add peppers,tostados,pintos & cheese. MMM, the food is good here that's why I've been coming here for 43 yrs. I believe the dining isn't open due the the after affects of Covid. Short staffed. I like the Conquistator Burrito - get extra chili for it. Nachos A OK . Not a fan of the mexican pizza. Haven't tried the hotdogs. Everything else I like. Bounce the Bell & say Ahoy to the Cap'n Muchachos!

If your looking for taco's but not the typical Mexican type taco's, not Taco Bell. It's just a simple tasting taco with white cheese and lettuce. They have all kinds of other taco type food. I've never ventured any further than the taco's and nacho's with cheese and jalapeños. It's just a little place, drive thru not far from the Cleveland Hopkins airport. They don't stay open all night so check times. I know their closed on Monday not sure about Sunday. I do recommend this place Cap n Taco for a simple tasty taco!
