Capers Pizza Bar

We sat down In The dining room around 8pm....got our first round of drinks at 8:40pm. They were NOT busy. (2 beers. And a soda). Was so looking forward to the specialty pizza with veggies and capers (can't remember the name of it) but there were no capers!!! The pizza is good, they really have a chance to be great, but the consistent bad service and inconsistent quality of pizza is holding them back :/

Food taste like it is pre packaged. Tasted better pasta from Frishes Big Boy. Waitress doesn't seem to know how to supply table with utensils, napkins. After serving the food doesn't return to make sure we're okay. I think it's more of a bar than restaurant.

Now that Im not ticked off, I ll write this review. Waited quite a while at the please wait to be seated sign. The bartender kept shouting every few min "Someone will be right there." Finally, a manager (Im guessing) in plain clothes had pity on us and sat us down. Now she is 2 of the stars because she was very nice. She did tell us that she was not a server. Took her 15 min for 3 drinks and I went to the bar n asked the bartender for menus. Asked for a beer menu and it is no more. I hate squinting at tapsSo after we ordered an appetizer from the manager, she finally rounded up a server for us. Took about 30 min for appetizer. Cheesy garlic bread was good. Now we made our own pizza and 1 person ordered a calzone. Pizza was half veggie n other half chicken. It was eh. Sauce was not flavorful at all. Chicken was dry.I ate one piece and have leftovers in the fridge. The calzone was mostly dough n light on toppings per my sis n law. Third star is for the Maumee Bay Amarillo ipa. We try to check out and the credit card machine is down for about 10 minutes. I was so ready to get the heck out of there I left my leftovers. Manager chased me out the door with it. Thanks but a no go for me. $70 for bad service.

We stopped at one of our neighborhood pizzerias and this place was great! The service was fast and friendly and we never had to wait on a refill. The pizza was delicious the bread and oil was ok but, I would of thought they would of made more of a homemade bread. Im looking forward to a anther visit to this place!

This is a good place to stop in for a drink and lunch or dinner, a little off the beaten track in a older strip mall in a kind of backwater section of S. Toledo. Service can be a tad slow, but not awful. Decor is a bit dated. There's usually a good rotating selection of a mix of 6 or so craft and mainstream beers on tap, and I can always find at least one I like. Wines too. Plus a decently stocked full bar. The crowd is typically a bit older, maybe 30s-40s usually, and while they can get busy, it's never so loud that you have to shout to have a conversation with your table mates. There are some TVs, but thankfully it's not the kind of place where people typically go to watch a game and shout at the TV. Generally there's a good mix of classic rock on the sound system, loud enough to enjoy but not the main focus. A good mix for the age group that's usually there, myself included. There is a nice little shaded outdoor patio area to enjoy when the weather permits.The food is decent and pretty reasonably priced. I've had many of their specialty pizzas and sandwiches and all have been good. The Mediterranean and "Ultimate Pepperoni" pizzas are especially good. And half-off pizza until 6PM can't be beat on weekdays. If they're busy, be prepared to wait a bit for your food. They do a lot of takeout business as well. The bar and wait staff are always friendly in my experience.All in all, just a friendly, low-key place to unwind and get a good drink or two and a meal. Kind of a hidden gem in the neighborhood there.

The Mediterranean pizza was excellent but the service was horrible. On Friday we called at 5:48 for a large Mediterranean pizza the lady said it would be 40 mins. I arrived at 6:25 and payed then I was told they're just putting it in now and it would be 40 minutes we received it at 7:10. If I hadn't paid I would have walked out also 3 other carry out orders were taken care of. This is the second time in a row that this has happened. The owner couldn't even come over and talk to us about the issue much less even acknowledge the issue.Never again with capers pizza bar.

It's a great bar.half off 2 item pizza Tue/thru..K D bar maid is amazing at her job.Most worker's are easy going.the pizza is so good.

Great pizza sauce flavor and extra cheese! Also a nice crust that carries the multitude of yummy toppings to your mouth with just enough structure to accomplish the task ! I made my own original creation of ham, pineapple, Italian sausage and Greek olives. I brought two friends that were new to Capers and their comments were Great Pizza and we need to bring our adult kids here. We enjoyed their selection of bottled and " on tap" brews also. Enjoy this local gem... restaurant on left and bar on right.

Oh boy Toledo! We were just passing through and unfortunately decided to order from here. I hope you have better options around than this. The Meatball and Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches were pretty bad. Dry. Flavorless. Even the side was a pile of warm bendy potato chips. If you are going to put this little effort into a menu item why not just axe it from the menu altogether? They were out of potato skins as well but after what we got I'm thinking we didn't miss out.

Really delicious food. I enjoyed the calzones. Pizza is really close to tasted as good as a new York slice
