Great little winery, the owner is friendly and very entertaining with a deck of cards for some tricks. It has a nice size tasting room with plenty of seating outside. The wines are very good, and the sweet wines are not very sweet or overly sweet like some wines. We preferred the KII and the Virtuous Woman.

Dear Yelpers,Nestled away somewhere in Northeast OH is one of the best wineries around! We stumbled upon Cana Valley by accident. We visited Barrel Run and were unimpressed to say the least. Then we headed over to Kelvin's winery and found some of the best wines around. Kelvin (the owner) not only knows his wines, but he makes you feel like a regular even if you only randomly showed up an hour before closing. Every red wine here was worth trying, and the barrel aged merlot was take home worthy. Not to mention his white wines were good too! So if you need a great place to stop, look no further!Your friendly neighborhood Wino

I'm not a big wine person but my wife is, and we stopped in at Cana Valley and the boss man was behind the bar. I am a big bourbon fan and he had two wines aged in bourbon barrels and he really knew his stuff when it came to bourbon and aging his wine in bourbon barrels. It was a neat little place and very friendly people working there. I enjoyed talking to the bartender, who it sounded like did all the wine making and aging. We will definitely be back.

We were referred from Laporte Winery to check out Cana Valley. We didn't know it even existed. The owners were very nice, and helpful.Everything that we tried white and red was tasteful. They have a wide variety of wines to taste. In addition, they have to dine as well. That's what I love about Ohio wines. They all have places to eat. In Pennsylvania not so much. This is a small quaint place to check out.

4 of us went and shared 3 tastings. We sampled pretty much everything, and then got 3 glasses of wine. This review is not about then wine because they were all VERY good. When we go to cash out we find out it's $50! $50!!!!! The only prices available were those of the bottles. Nothing was posted about glasses or tastings, so I'm pretty sure prices were made up on the spot! As we were drinking our wine and enjoying the magic show we said we will definitely be back, but after cashing out we had a really bad taste in our mouths. Great wine, but not sure we'll be back...

Our meetup group scheduled a bonfire here. At smaller regional wineries, I frequently have to search for something decent to drink. Not the case at Cana Valley. Every wine was great! They have a large selection of fruit infused reds and whites. I hesitate to name my favorites lest they not be available the next time we return - and we will return. Chocolate Raspberry Lambrusco, Blueberry Merlot, Cherry Shiraz, Black Cherry Pinot, Cranberry Frontenac Gris, Peach Chardonnay, Apple Riesling, Vanilla Moscato, Cana Concord Grape. I didn't try the bourbon barrel cab but my friends liked it. They were very accommodating to our sometimes rowdy bunch. Don't be put off by the modest building. The wine is worth the trip and reasonably priced.
