Their caramel cake is AMAZING. One of the best cake I've ever had. This bakery is Cleveland's best kept secret.

The pound cake was truly sublime. The storefront is no frills but that's cool because they put their energy into their cakes. I have had cakes made by my mama and grandmother and aunts. They are from down south and they can cook, with that being said they can't touch Sweetwater. I highly recommend this place. Remember they are closed on the weekend. I wish I could give them more stars.

1/24/2012 @ 2pm. An elderly gentleman had parked his car in front of Cakes by Sweetwater's ("Cakes") door. He was honking the horn of his car to get an employee's attention since he was unable to walk to the door, approximately 15 feet from the curb. He was using an oxygen tank and had a handicap placard on his rear view mirror. I was a customer at Music Saves, the business next door, at the time. The Music Saves' employee also heard the honking. I left Music Saves and stopped to talk to the disabled man en route to my car. He asked me to walk inside and get an employee's attention because he wanted to order a cake. I walked into Cakes to explain the situation. The only employee in view yelled something to the effect of "I'm not going to no stranger's car. He can come back with someone that can walk." I was taken aback. I relayed her response to the disabled customer who then instructed me to ask if she would give him a business card or at least come to the front door. I did just that. The same employee yelled "We don't have business cards. I'm not going to the door for him. You need to leave if you're not buying." I was upset at having been yelled out the door. I apologized to the disabled customer and got into my car to go home. I feel rotten for having left him sitting in his car unserved, but the employee would not cooperate in any way, shape or form. The employee's behavior was disgusting. I have never seen such a lack of compassion. An investigation should occur.
