Cakes By Karin

Let me start by saying that the Hudson, OH area is fortunate to have a true cake artist like Karin of "Cakes by Karin".My wife grew up in the area and we returned not just for the holiday season but for the 1st Bday of our daughter.1st Bday's should be special and we were happy to be able to celebrate it among family. We of course wanted to buy an nice cake for her bday and found "Cakes by Karin" on Yelp. My daughters theme animal throughout her first year of life is a sloth and we wanted to incorporate that theme into her Bday cake. So we found some pics on-line, of what we wanted the cake to look like based on her theme. What we chose was something of a "fantasy" cake...as in no one can possibly do this right? Ultimately reached out to Karin with a pic and the question, "can you make a cake to look like this?" Not living in the Hudson, OH area our communications with Karin were via email or txt. She said yes and gave us a price...we settled on the pick up date and paid on line. "Easy peasy lemon squeeze" as my 15 yr old would say. I have to admit I was nervous the day we scheduled to pick up the cake. My wife talked about a show called "Nailed it ", and how this cake (for our daughters first bday) could go the way of the cakes on the show...in other words badly...we were both nervous.Like a true professional the cake was in an amazing box wrapped with ribbon and a candle...the cake looked so amazing we almost cried.Of course it tasted perfect. Everything about the cake was impressive...everyone who attend the party was impressed lots of o's and ah's to go around...for the cake. My daughter is not going to remember this specific bdabut the pics prove that went the extra mile for her first bday...it was all helped along by Karin at "cakes by Karin".As far as I'm concerned she a treasure and if you have a "fantasy " cake you want realized...I doubt anyone in the area can to a better job!

We used Cakes by Karin for our baby shower and were so happy that we did! The cake was clean, creatively decorated to match our rubber ducky theme, and super tasty. The cookies were so cute and super delicious. Karin is extremely easy to work with and a true professional. We will definitely be using Karin again for our next big family get together!

Karin is great to work with and her cakes are delicious! You can tell she really puts her heart into what she does, we will definitely be ordering from her again!

Our kid has got to the age where he understands the significance of birthdays. He has been asking for a train cake for months! Karin delivered an amazing cake and made it so special for him. Karin was professional, organized, and very prompt in communication. Karin made our kid's birthday memorable. Thanks Karin!

Karin worked on a one day notice to get a birthday cake done and delivered. It was absolutely beautifully decorated, pictures attached. I went with the chocolate cake with raspberry middle. I was told it was very pretty but "ok" tasting. I think I should have gone with vanilla which has many 5* reviews. I appreciate Karin was able to deliver a beautiful cake in time for the birthday.

Karin went above and beyond in making my vision a reality for my grandmother's 90th birthday cake. She was open to my unique requests and got really creative with it. She was awesome to work with and incorporated everything I imagined and made helpful suggestions based on her expertise. My grandma absolutely loved the cake and all of the details that went into the design. Everyone said it was delicious cake and frosting, "wedding cake quality" She is still talking about the cake weeks later and it really made her special day extra special. I would highly recommend Cakes by Karin for any event!!

I called Karin to inquire about a cake and was treated very rudely, almost like I was bothering her. Her tone and attitude were not nice when I called and she said she couldn't even offer a price range and put it on me to send her a picture. I wanted to support a local business but I ended up feeling like a bother. I will go with an established bakery in town that was kind and helpful and got back to me very quickly. A little customer service goes a long way.

I had Karin make my 30 anniversary cake for me and it was the best cake I have ever tasted. It was the first time she had ever done the design before and it was beautiful. All of our family, friends and neighbors were talking about how wonderful it was!I would highly recommend Cakes by Karin. I will use her a again!

Karin is amazing!! I called last minute for a gender reveal cupcake that I needed next day and Karin was so accommodating and helpful. She treated my request with so much attention to detail and the cupcakes were fantastic!! Highly recommend!!!

My daughter surprised me with a birthday cake from Cakes By Karin while I was visiting my mother in Hudson. Karin, herself, delivered it - for free. The cake was absolutely wonderful. I have had many birthday cakes (this was #55) and it was by far the most delicious cake I've ever had. I would highly recommend her.
