I hesitantly went to this restaurant for dinner tonight - hesitant because of some of the more recent critical reviews. However, I was really quite pleased, which is what prompts the review. It took a few moments for me to be seated. I waited at the hostess stand until a server waved me in and offered me my choice of tables, inside or out. I chose a high top table outside on the patio, success number 1. The patio was shaded, pleasant, with greenery sufficient not to make you forget you're in the city but to allow a pleasant break and moment of respite. Service was attentive but not overbearing. I had a caesar salad, brought with dressing on the side as ordered. Salad was simple, with shavings of delicious parmesan. There was also bread: again, nothing remarkable, just classic rolls (1 wheat, 2 white) with butter, but fresh and tasty. For my entree, I chose the sole with crab and a side of broccolini. The broccolini was good but could have stood to be cooked a few minutes less. The sole was fantastic, piping hot, perfectly cooked, with the subtle flavor that should characterize fresh sole. This was accompanied by a glass of pinot noir. It would be nice to see them invest in some proper red wine glasses, as it was a good size pour but the smallish glass did not allow for aeration and swirling. Finally, I ended the evening with cheesecake - again, nothing life changing but definitely tasty, with good smooth texture. I got the cheesecake to go and was pleased that the waiter kindly included a set of plastic utensils with it. Overall, a solid meal! While I would not make a point of going out of my way for this restaurant, I found my meal very tasty and enjoyable and would recommend this restaurant with confidence if you are in the area and looking for a nice bite.

Excellent food, stellar service. I would have given it five stars except the atmosphere was a little clinical. I had the steak bistro with broccoli, my husband had the baked cod. Both were wonderful. Excellent coffee, good iced tea, elegant and prompt service. This is in the International hotel on the Cleveland Clinic, so it was a real surprise. There is a lovely garden area if you want al fresco. A hidden treasure.

I went here for breakfast yesterday and it was wonderful. When I went in today, I was standing by the podium to wait to be seated. Directly in front of the podium is a pillar with two control panels. A woman was passing between me and the podium so I, of course, stepped back. The controls are apparently light switches. I turned off the dining room lights and didn't realize it. I heard a little commotion in the dining room and saw a buss boy (I assume maybe a waiter) in white was staring at me. I laughed and said oh, did I do that. I'm sorry, I think I turned the lights off. He still kind of stood there like he was expecting me to figure out which of the switches to flick. He finally came over to the controls and turned them back on. I'll take a photo so you can see the controls. I didn't want to touch it because it wasn't clear what controls what. Anyway, no acknowledgement, no "don't worry about it", no "may I help you." Anyway no one seated me so I turned around and walked out.

Restaurant is located in the Intercontinental Hotel Suited. For my appetizer, I ordered the fried calamari. Was good, but could have been a little crispier. For the entree, I had the pan seared steak medium rare, and for its price was not worth it. Firstly, the steak was unevenly cooked. Some parts were more medium and done. I had not bother sending it back to the kitchen because my server was so kind. The cauliflower purée with bacon beneath the steak was so bland. Really needed a lot more salt.Amenities included bread and olive oil.

We tried their breakfast buffet this morning and were totally disappointed. It was obvious that the food had been sitting for quite a while and a very poor selection. To top it off it was $45.00 for two people which didn't include a tip. We had been warned that it was expensive, but I will never go back to this restaurant again.

Greek salad is wonderful! Coffee is great, too (and I'm very particular when it comes to coffee!).

I have eaten here several times now & have never been disappointed. The food is very good. I've eaten several items from the menu & the specials & what is astonishing is it is always good. Just surprised that this is in a "hospital" hotel located very near the Cleveland Clinic campus. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are staying here or in the vicinity.

This restaurant is in the Intercontinental Suites hotel on the Cleveland Clinic campus. The food is good, although pricey. Their menu breakfasts are only a few dollars less than their buffet. However, not everyone can eat that much therefore, a few modestly priced simple dishes would be appreciated, notwithstanding the excellence of the buffetDinner choices were tasty. The wait staff seems overwhelmed. Its easy to get forgotten unless you are assertive. The biggest negative is their hours. They advertise online that they are open from 6:30am - 11:00pm. However, when I walked over from the clinic at 1:45 on Sunday, they were closed. It would seem that a limited menu could be available at any time The hours must be set for the convenience of staff rather than guestsSo overall, although the food is tasty, the absentminded service and hours force me to rate only 2 stars.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. From beginning to end it just was BAD. First of all, when we went to the ladies room to wash our hands, two of the toilets were absolutely disgusting. It would be too gross to describe here, but trust me.We went last Friday night (4/28//17 - Party of 5) and ordered 3 soups ( 2 C2 Chicken "noodle" soups and one tomato bisque), 2 Calamari orders, 2 C2 Burgers ( one medium rare & one well done), 2 salads ( one salad with Salmon Fillet). There were only around 3 other small parties being served at the time we came in, but service was very slow and the waiter seemed to have an attitude from the very beginning. All 3 soup orders were luke warm, the 2 orders of Calamari were also luke warm, only one of C2 burgers was made to order, and the Salmon Fillet was raw in the middle. The salmon order was passed around the table to make sure it was warranted that we return it to have the chef cook it more. All in the party felt it was raw enough in the middle to be a health risk to eat. When we showed our waiter the salmon, he said nothing and just took it to the kitchen. Shortly afterwards, he returned and asked "What temperature would you like the fish?" with what appeared to be a bit of a smirk. We all just sat there stunned. So, they serve a salmon like that and actually give attitude? Unbelievable. Finally, someone meekly said, "cooked through." By that time, we were all so tired and hungry, that we just wanted to get through our luke warn entrees, pay the bill and get the heck out of there. I've worked in the restaurant business for over 12 years and believe it's important to be respectful to wait and kitchen staff, but it seemed like no matter how polite we tried to be, we still got terrible service. The bathrooms in the restaurant area and the dining experience was so bad, I would never even consider staying at the hotel. To top the experience off, the next day, the person that had ordered the salmon experienced some light stomach issues the next morning.Luckily, most of the party was at the Hoilday Inn Cleveland Clinic next door and were very pleased with the hotel and food offered there. I had a fish taco there and it was delicious. Go figure. Wish we ate at the Holiday Inn again.

I ate dinner at C2 on Friday evening. I ordered a cheeseburger medium well and my brother ordered the stuffed sole. The cheeseburger arrived medium rare - very pink in the middle. The sole was not cooked either. There was only one other table in restaurant so there was no excuse for not cooking our food properly. We ate at this restaurant about a year ago. The food was 100% better. Not sure what the problem is but given that this is an Intercontinental Property I would think that someone would address the problem with the food at C2. Management just needs to read the customer reviews!
