"Being new to the area we were happy to see a Summer Steak Cookout at a winery. The winery is a bit rundown, and sadly we weren't fans of the wine. It is just too sweet for us. The Steak event was very nice, with T-Bone steaks, potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert. The music was fantastic. Very nice event that I would attend again, just wouldn't drink the wine."
"My friends and I came to Uncorked last night for a wine tasting (pirate themed- so fun!). The owner, Jill, was great with the pace of the tasting, explaining the wines, and just being a good host. The wine selection is fantastic here as well. I love this place!"
"KUDOS to Orchid Winery for being a concerned and caring to the environment establishment. I saw recycling bins in the bar area and in the back. We didn't eat this round just picked up my wine from being a member of the Tap Root Club. Very friendly employees."
"My wife and I don't live anywhere near here, but my in-laws live about 45 minutes away. We've been here twice. We had such a good experience the first time, we had to come back again when we were nearby. My wife prefers dry wines, I prefer sweet wines, but I'm open to all types. We both found several things we like here and were pretty surprised at the quality of the wine. We did a flight each time we went and bought bottles to go when we left both times. We don't always buy bottles unless it's something we both can enjoy together. The place had a lot of character. Someone put a lot of thought and work into the decor, design, and atmosphere of the place. It was artistic and comfortable. I always appreciate that. We chose to sit at the bar both times, but enjoyed looking around at the walls and taking a trip up the stairs for a nice overhead view of the first floor. The service was great and really is the selling point for returning. It's the number one reason that we'll go back again when we're in town. The wine tasted great, the atmosphere was nice, but it's the service that puts this place over the top. Hopefully we will always have this experience, but I do believe we had the same couple serving us both times.I'd obviously highly recommend anyone who enjoys drinking wine, going to wineries, or trying out new places."
"Came for Restaurant Week 2024. Vibes - sophisticated and cozy. Servers and staff were charming. Food unfortunately left something to be desired. Large property, being a winery and event space, so Sapphire Creek is a little out off the beaten path, but worth the drive. There's quite a bit of parking along the long driveway as well as valet available. The main building looks like an unassuming barn, but the dining area's elegant lighting, high ceilings, and cozy glow nearly takes your breath away when viewed for the first time. I'm not quite a fan of the huge nearly floor to ceiling mirrors that are placed along the walls and believe more could have been done decor wise, but the rest of the Christmasy touches for the holidays made up for some of this. There's a bar with TV screens if you're aiming for a more casual feel, enclosed patio, and traditional seating for small parties up to larger groups. The designers definitely try to be thoughtful, making blankets available to those dining on the enclosed patio. There was a live musician playing the night we went playing covers of popular songs. Volume was a little too loud for us to talk comfortably so we really had to lean in for conversation. Possibly a side effect of the acoustics of the huge building. Restrooms are located near the front with separate men's and women's stalls. Menu-wise, it's traditional American steakhouse, with a variety of meat and seafood options. Some menu items rotate seasonally. Obviously, wine is a highlight of their menu as well, but they do serve other spirits. I did like that their menu suggested wine pairings for each main course. They were out of the ciabatta app when I went, so we opted for a French Onion Soup and Caesar Salad. Both were pretty average - the salad could have come out of a kit with a ton of parmesan sprinkled on top and I wouldn't have been surprised. Main course wise, the Salmon was very nicely done - tender and moist with a perfect slightly sweet seasoning. Hot Honey Sandwich was above average, a towering stack of a sandwich, but the chicken was overdone. For dessert, we enjoyed the on-theme Pumpkin Creme Brulee, but the Tiramisu also tasted and looked like something store-bought. We had a lovely time roaming the grounds for a bit after dinner, enjoying the paved and gently lit paths which meander over a babbling brook and several cute clearings that I'm sure are a hit for photoshoots and weddings."
"Above & beyond customer service. We were in Girard to see the Butterfly mural. At the crosswalk, my spidy sense knew we were close to a library. The sidewalk was closed to the library but a sign directed us to the winery. The winery is an old bank. After answering our questions about the library, we were given a tour of the bank vault. Bank robbers didn't realize the vault had 2 doors. They blew up the first door but couldn't get through the second door. There are small, intimate tables. Charcuterie plates are available for purchase. We purchased a bottle of dry red as a gift. Looking forward to see what the owners do with the library."
"We came on a super busy day and the staff is hustling. I love watching them, they are doing a great job. Good food, good drinks and great of music. The staff really makes the atmosphere an awesome place. We will definitely be back. We got the flat bread and it was delicious.."
"OurThis was our first winery visit along our route for the weekend in 2017. Too bad it was raining because the outside around the small lake is absolutely beautiful. The inside of the winery is quite beautiful and very nice. The lady explaining about the wines did a terrific job. She explained about the wines very well. She was accommodating. She said the owners are redoing the lake area. They are going to have available seats in the lake while you sip wine. How incredible. The wine was really good. I liked the Pinot Noir as my favorite. All of the dry whites were very good. Current Post Fast Forward 4 years. So much has changed with this place. They have really expanded since 4 years ago. They have created what I would call or they call Nova Destinations. When you arrive into the facility, the lights are very nice, 4 years ago, no lights. They have a tour guide and vehicle transportation via cart to the different locations. Winery is in the same location, Brew 32 is above, but now you can drive x amount feet away to visit the liquid fusion building, they have hard cider from Knocking Noggin, and a distillery that was recently opened up. The place is amazing and all I've ever wanted to do is come here during a nice day to drink outside. This was our 3rd visit to the area. As for the wine, we did a sample of the wine and I wasn't impressed with the wine. Maybe it was better previously, maybe this was just not a good batch. But it was so so.."
"Such a cute place and OMG the owners are amazing. We talked to Dennis the whole time. He was amazing! The Pink Catawba is good and the Niagara is really good! (I'm not a Niagara fan but this is what I ordered!)They started making jam and the Guardians use their jam in milkshakes at the stadium I truly hope this place makes it. The inside is so cute, the wine is good and the owners are awesome!! You can make reservations on their website- they are not required. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and had the best time !!"
"This place is a smaller winery but we'll established. They have really good wines. I'm big on all the reds that they have to offer. They are making a port wine that will have. 3 years in a barrel aged when it's ready for a bottle. It will be absolutely amazing."
"Came here for lunch today and to my surprise, all day is happy hour so half off appetizers! We ordered soft pretzels as the appetizer, the candied walnut apple salad and the chicken sandwich. My family I was with ordered several of the appetizers including buffalo chicken dip and the caprese salad. Everything was so good and I would order all of those items again! For my wine, I chose the sparkling Mia. It tasted SO good! We were there from around 1pm to 230ish on A Thursday. It was pretty empty and very family friendly. Can't wait to visit again!"
"When searching for new friends in Ohio we ran across NCWC. Since my husband and I have made wine ourselves for 20+ years this seemed like a perfect match. And the rest is history! We joined the very first day the members are so friendly and inviting. There is much to be said for making your own culinary libations. Tonight we hosted the clubs official winery opening with a Nestlé Ladies Night Out. Approximately 20 mostly women and few men came to try the club wines. The wine flight holders were all in use!"

Love this place! Small, out of the way but with much history! We've been by on two occasions and with both tastings, we left with some mighty fine wine. Love the doggies; very friendly. Prices on wine are AMAZING!!! It looks like from the pics below, they hold events but on both occasions, we were not there during warm weather. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the tasting room is super tiny with no sitting. Maybe that's on purpose? Maybe to keep people from sitting around drinking too much?? Small, dark, dusty type of room. But you couldn't ask for nicer people. Very friendly. When we are in the area, this is a must stop!

We had an absolute phenomenal experience here. We were drawn for Cleveland Restaurant Week, so got to enjoy three courses. It is a fancy ish, pricey ish restaurant but worth the money and the vibe is awesome. I prefer seating in the back area with the windows and bar vs the bright area right when you walk in. The food was amazing. When the one dessert came out sub par, the server made sure to replace it. The server was excellent!! The manager checked in with us too. The Ariancini balls were the highlight dish. Bolognese dish was small, and personally not worth the price in my opinion. But the rest was great portions! We will be back to try the chicken tender tower, and to enjoy another spicy marg during happy hour!

This is a nice little space that I wish was in the Pittsburgh area. Their ciders are made in-house are amazing. I would recommend the prickly pear cactus fruit cider. It has a pretty color and isn't overly sweet compared to most ciders.

Beautiful higher end venue is large with windows looking out onto the woods and fire pits. The bar is long. Some evenings at 6 a guitarist plays after happy hour. This happy hour, from 4-6 p.m., the special was an $8 smash burger. Drinks were a bit high priced. Wine was $4 off, so an 8 oz pour was $20. The Reserve Chardonnay was perfect. The apps were reasonably priced. My mussels were $9 and were plenty to share or eat alone with toasted bread. The shrimp cocktail was three tails for $9. There are six menu items and all looked delicious. The server explained the Napa wines, which are dry, and the speciality drinks. She was great. Large parking. Handicapped accessible.

Made a 2nd visit to "The Property" by Nova Destinations in Pulaski for an afternoon of munchies and drinks with the family. With four separate mini destinations, each with its own alcohol and food menu, The Property is has become one our family "must go" locations to get together. There was some off and on rain when we went but each location on The Property provided shelter until the clouds passed. Nothing stopped our little party and we had fun with the sprinkles. We also brought our fur baby Boo who was welcome at all buildings both indoors and outside with her leash. The staff was very friendly and kept us well served with food and delicious drinks. My favorites include Nova's blended sweet wine The Dragon, a Concord Red wine, and Skallywag Distilling's Limoncello. After roaming the various locations (shuttle is also provided if you desire) you can collect your own bottles of your favorites in the building at the exit. That way you aren't lugging your choices throughout the day.

"When I saw the sign that their wines were available "on tap" for tasting I was intrigued because I had never heard of such a thing before. We were warmly greeted upon entering and told about their tasting process. I was surprised to learn that in Ohio apparently it is illegal to give free wine samples so they have to charge. Here it is 50 cents per sample and they also had a "package" that offered tastings with a cute mini wine glass. We opted for the second because we thought we might drink wine when we got back to our hotel since everything in the area closes so early.I tried two of their dry reds, some sweet, a fruit wine and their wine slushie. We were told a little bit about each wine when they were brought over. It was interesting to see them being poured out of the tap instead of going to a wine fridge.I really enjoyed all that I sampled. Aside from the sampling bar, the space has some tables for those that choose go buy a glass, bottle or slushie and enjoy it on sight. I really enjoyed our experience here and would definitely come back next time I'm in the area."
"I came here about a year ago and had a fantastic time! My friend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a wine tasting. They provided a whole complimentary snack spread as well as the tasting. And it was a serve yourself spread! Which means, you could keep going back for more....count me in! I love snacks! They had dips and crackers, meats, cheeses and they were all delicious. The service was outstanding!!They have most of the snacks available for purchase to take home. They also have a really nice gift shop with tons of stuff in it. I got two bracelets that I still wear to this day. I look forward to visiting again."
"Great pizza and service! Live music and friendly atmosphere. Just a short distance from chagrin falls."
"This was at the Barn at Wolf Creek venue right next door to the Winery so it may need its own page so I'll post this review here.Any hoo I was a guest at a wedding and I was cordially invited to come over here for the ceremony. Honestly of all the various venues I really enjoyed this venue. There's so much scenery it's handicapped accessible, great rest rooms. It does have limited parking too.Inside the barn portion, it's quite spacious, we had an open bar and I was content with the limited drink menu. This barn is well maintained and I just love all the architecture that's put into this venue is phenomenal. I don't live in Ohio but this place felt right at home."
"Love this place! Wine fantastic- our favorite is the blackberry referred to as country girl. They also make an awesome sangria. My husband and I have eaten here a few times in which we always received a delicious meal. Pizza great too. Staff friendly. Makes for great Christmas gifts too as last year I purchased a wine basket for my husband which he loved and enjoyed. I'm planning on purchasing more as holiday gifts this year."
"So I'm going to keep this as short and sweet as I can: the wine selection is big for a small place and they are all pretty wonderful, as shown by the awards hanging on the bottles behind the bar. You can see the vineyards on the property. But if you're a frequent winery visitor, don't picture this is an actual winery. It is literally a little wooden booth of sorts set up next to the checkin desk at the Guggisberg Swiss Inn. The reservation women will come let you sample and buy when they're not taking reservations or checking folks in. There are not, per se, tables to sit and be served at. You buy a bottle, grab your glasses, and take it all outside to enjoy at one of their many swings or picnic tables and hope the horses are roaming the property nearby for you to pet and marvel. Don't get me wrong, this is amazing. Wine and horse grazing, what could be better?! We stayed here last year for a weekend and now we visit for a drink and hopes of visiting the horses every time we come to Amish country. But when you know of other local wineries like Breitenbach, just don't have those winery expectations of the size and scale. This is about as opposite of that as it gets. They were also out of their blush, which is my favorite, on this visit. I heard another customer complain, "how can a winery be out of wine?!" Again, think small scale. You will not be let down by the quality and scenery though, trust me."
"Loved their Marquette red wine. Had to take a bottle home! Owner very friendly and was walking around and serving. They had some musicians there which were very talented. I wish it wasn't raining or we would have been out on the patio. Beautiful setting with the lake. They also had some prepackaged snacks for purchase."
"My mother had never had mead. I, on the other hand, couldn't stop smiling that I was going to drink mead in Meadville. It felt right! Blissful Meads has a cute location in Meadville with a casual atmosphere. The meadery had a few customers inside who seemed to be regulars. We opted for a mead flight and loaded nachos. The Blissful Nachos were fantastic! They did not skimp on anything. It was so well balanced too - each bite seemed to have a great amount of beef, cheese, jalapeño, and black beans. I even liked the olives and I typically don't eat olives. Even when we approached the bottom layer I was still enjoying a full mix of food instead of a plain chip layer I often find in loaded nachos. I can only imagine how tasty their street tacos must be!Now for their meads, my mother didn't care for them but I wasn't too surprised. Mead can be a bit of an acquired taste. I personally enjoyed the mead flight. Most were very good ranging from light and semi-sweet to quite sweet. The tasting board was very well done and I appreciated the variety. I would have loved to know more about the type, history, and all that but they were a bit busy. It was a great stop."
"Came to Wishmaker House for dessert and was not disappointed! The housemade cheesecake was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tastings. The Peach wine tasted like biting into a real peach."
"Had date night here recently to listen to our buddy Jesse (aka the Next Nolan) play music. Lovely, rustic place. I liked that it wasn't overcrowded and we could actually talk. My husband and I split a bottle of elderberry wine, and I had the taco special and he had two small pizzas. I even ended the night with a glass of pineapple wine-which is a lot for me, I never drink these days. But it was all so tasty. I can't wait to enjoy that patio in the summer."
"The crush house was a very nice place to get cocktails, appetizers and dinner. Our server Lisa was great! She was on point with the menu; very knowledgeable; energetic; funny and very attentive. Happy hour was weekdays m-f 2 -6pm. Definitely worth going during this time to try new stuff. The vibe is very chill.... Laid back and just very enjoyable. We ordered the loaded chips; these have blue cheese, scallions, bacon and etc. it was a mouthful of goodiness. Ordered the mozzarella sticks... these are by far one of the best mozzarella sticks I have ever had. Very light and gooey and just plain delicious. For dinner I ordered the beef gnocchi... plentiful of meat... and this dish was nice and hot. Very good! My parents ordered the maghreita chicken... haha weird to have a bone in the chicken breast; but they said it was good too. For dessert we shared the blondie... I highly recommend this dessert.... The Carmel adds a nice touch over the ice cream. Very light and filling desert. Easily shareable. Very good!"
"Haters gonna hate. This place is a gem in the middle of nowhere (Wakeman, OH) I've heard good things and finally got to check it out for myself and see how fun it is! They had an awesome live band called Soul PropRioters playing on the patio (A 60 degree day in January!) The trumpet, sax and oldies oh yes. The wine was good and tastings are just 50 cents each. I am a big fan of reds. They also have wine slushies, yumm.A great atmosphere and excellent service. They have deals on pizzas too for just 8 bucks. Can't wait to go back and get my groove on. :)"
"Beautiful is the operative word for this place. All you NE Ohio Yelpers who do wineries up your way, come on down. This place is worth a taste. Check the website for a map. There are signs off I-76.New, elegant architecture grabs you as you walk in. There's plenty of seating inside. Individual tastings are possible, but I'd suggest the sampler platter. You get a taste of all their wines for about $6.50. Seating outside is an option as well and a good one at that when the weather is nice. The vineyards, such as they are, can be seen from the patio area, along with a pond and a nice wooded area. If you care for live jazz/folk music while sipping, you'll want to make the trip on Friday or Saturday, get there before 6PM and sit outside. Parking appears to be just less than adequate if they get busy (read: Saturday evening). As for the wines, well, I've had a few in the Lake Erie region of Ohio and these are some of the best. Although I can't say definitively, they don't appear to be using any of their own grapes. I suspect they're buying grapes/juice. My recommendation is the Chardonnay. Very buttery, dry and a smooth finish. My wife's recommendation is the Riesling. This is a dry Riesling, with, as the tasting guide indicates, a crisp finish. I thought it had a bit of a fizz to it. Finally, as I'm not a fan of Ohio reds, this place didn't change my mind, but I found the Dolce Rosso to be a nice dessert red. I think slightly chilled would be the best option here. There is a light menu, but the food is quite good. I've had the chicken, pulled pork and sausage sandwiches. All were very good. They came with the classic deli accompaniments, pickle spear and potato chips. Although I didn't get one, the cheese trays looked dreadful but a patron at the bar indicated that the Stuffed Hot banana pepper with Chorizo sausage & marinara was very good. You'll find an interesting mix of folks from the Escalade set to the college double-daters to forty-somethings like myself to the occasional line worker at GM Lordstown. Watching the crowd can be just as fun as anything else here."
"They are still growing but the four wines they offer are good! The staff is friendly and welcoming and the pizza is delicious. Can not wait to see where they go as they grow."
"There is only one reason it's not a 5-star winery, but I will get that eventually. It has a lot going for it though. We walked in close to closing time on a Saturday night and were greeted like we were family! I couldn't believe how welcome I felt especially with the timing. The people behind the counter started talking to us, getting to know us, and the winemaker overheard our conversation and joined in.They were cleaning up in the process, but while they could've shooed us out or hurried us along in our tasting, the welcome feeling I had made me want to come back again someday (I'm from out of town). The winemaker gave me tips (I'm an aspiring winemaker) and talked to me about his process. Another employee, whom we happened to meet in town earlier in the day, spoke to us for a bit as well. It was kind of like hanging out at someone's house....which brings me to: Some people may be put off by the decor and setup of the place. The flooring, walls, and the cafeteria style counter made it seem like more of an old VFW or Moose Lodge. I'm okay with that because they're providing great service and I didn't even mention the wine yet.We found several wines we both like and my wife and I differ in what we usually liked. Service and a good product go a long long way for a business that I can overlook that it's not the fanciest winery on the block. You can go down the street for that. This is just a good "feels like home" winery with great people and good wine."
"We had a really nice visit! Tried some wines, had some laughs, checked out the cheeses, etc. This place is nicer and more serious than their neighbor which was a tourist trap. The highlight was the sweet and goofy (in a good way) wine hostess. She had a couple facts wrong, but whatever. The gifts, cheeses, and other items were great for traveling folks like us. Most of the wines were too sweet for me, but I'm a California wine snob... I did buy two of their driest wines to share with family."
"Spacious. Friendly service. We attended as part of the 2023 Tannenbaum Trail. So much fun with hubby and friends. Also great little gift shop for those wine enthusiasts."
"I had heard about this place at least a year ago, but it has taken me that long to finally get here, thanks to a holiday ad I saw in the local "Backyard Smart Shopper" featuring them that jogged my memory and initiated this visit. When you arrive, you realize that it really is a "cellar" as the tasting room is located in the basement of a house. When you walk in the door, it is very tastefully decorated, and very warm and welcoming. When I arrived, nobody was there to greet me, but there is a button to push, and a gentleman came down momentarily. He was very knowledgeable of his products, and told me a little bit about where he sources his honey (some of it sourced locally), and promptly started pouring me a variety of samples for me to taste. There were a multitude of various bouquets, and flavors, sweet, dry, fruity, etc., and something for a wide variety of palettes.I settled on purchasing two types, one being a semi-sweet made with orange blossom honey, and the other, a black mead made with fresh currents. These will be served at the dinner table with our holiday meals.Very cool place, and I highly recommend the experience."
"We were fortunate enough that we were back in Ohio for their after Christmas reopening and menu change. My wife and I arrived with my mom and our good friend fairly close to opening. Ryan was behind the bar as usual doing his usual great job. We truly appreciate his professionalism and friendliness as we do with Sean and the remainder of the staff. You can't beat the people here as you can't beat the food! We open with a starter of the oysters, Rockefeller. A slight twist on the standard, the Sambuca does stand out. That said, they were still pretty darn good! My wife decided on their Caesar salad and a cheese course that was on their bar happy hour menu. My mom decided on the crabcakes while our friend and I both went with the steak and frites. I thought the steak and frights were terrific! Superbly cooked with a wonderful presentation. The crabcakes seemed to have a little bit more filler than what we would normally like. That said, overall taste, and the presentation were very good. My wife truly enjoyed her Caesar salad and cheese course! We truly enjoy coming to this wonderful spot, one of the few in Mansfield! Looking forward to our next visit!"
"Good wines and great people.hours are:Friday 5-9 (usually later)Saturday 11 am to 5 pm.CLOSED FOR THE SEASON AFTER DECEMBER 24"
"The inside was very nice and cute! Wish we got to sit outside but it was windy and in the shade. It is next to the road so I wonder if it's loud. Our server was very nice and food came quick. We got wine flights and all the wines were good. Would def go back for wine and nibbles. The food was alright. I got the portobello melt. Flavors were good but the bread was a bit soggy. I would go back and try another dish. Everyone in the place seemed like they were having a great time."
"Nice location with indoor and outdoor seating. Flights are reasonably priced and a decent sized pour. Nice variety of wines. I had the clarity, harmony, inspire, and traminette for my flight. Each was distinct and I enjoyed them all."
"This used to be St Joseph's and it has really changed since then. There is wonderful indoor and outdoor space as well as a food menu. We ordered the Cesar salad and the Italian beef sandwich and oh my, that sandwich is delicious. I would literally come back just for that. We also decided to split a bottle of sparking reisling which was nice and refreshing. All of this along with dessert makes this a must stop for us next time we are in the area."
