"What an amazing hidden gem! Went to the best reception here. Food was phenomenal. I've been to lots of weddings. The service was on point. The staff was more than perfect! They know how to lay the service out! The setup with tables and chairs gave walkway paths to get through and around. Coffee station. Dessert station. Gift station. DJ station does not impede the dance floor. Easy parking! Would go here again for any event"
"We were hoping for a great Easter Buffet but were sadly extremely disappointed. The food selection for an Easter buffet was very limited. You would have thought there would be alot of various choices but the main choices were, salmon (very fishy smelling and tasteless), a pasta dish, breakfast sausage links and then a carving station for beef (very fatty and tasteless) and ham. Oh, almost forgot they did have a made to order omelette station. Side dishes were glazed carotts, home fries and au gratin potatoes. Basically everything was tasteless. They had a table with desserts, cupcakes, chocolate sheet cake and donde assorted muffins and brownies. Nothing looked homemade. The service was almost nonexistent. Then to top it all off, when we got the bill there was and additional 10% charge added to the bill for a "Club Fee". Just an overall very disappointing meal to celebrate a holiday. I would give no stars if I wad able to."
"I had my wedding ceremony and reception on 9/28/19. Everything was perfect! Natalie was easy to work with, very accommodating and made us very comfortable! Everything was beautiful, everyone was very pleased and blown away at how nice things turned out! She made upgrades to her venue at no charge to us! Her servers and bartenders were very professional and treated us like family! I couldn't have picked a better venue, and cannot wait to book another event LaPlace again! I highly highly recommend LaPlace"
"Excellent place to eat! They serve traditional foods one would expect but they also have some really unique dishes too. Highly recommend the Texas Dip. It's AMAZING! If you are in the mood for fajitas those can be ordered two ways. Excellent drink menu too! I was able to order a spicy margarita which was delicious. Hadn't had one of those in a while. The meals we ordered were delicious! My spouse enjoyed the fajita burrito and I had the taquitos Mexicanas. Very good. The meat in both of our dishes was really tender. Didn't have room for dessert, but wish I would have. They have really yummy looking desserts here. Next time. The service was excellent too!"
"KUDOS to Orchid Winery for being a concerned and caring to the environment establishment. I saw recycling bins in the bar area and in the back. We didn't eat this round just picked up my wine from being a member of the Tap Root Club. Very friendly employees."
"Came for Restaurant Week 2024. Vibes - sophisticated and cozy. Servers and staff were charming. Food unfortunately left something to be desired. Large property, being a winery and event space, so Sapphire Creek is a little out off the beaten path, but worth the drive. There's quite a bit of parking along the long driveway as well as valet available. The main building looks like an unassuming barn, but the dining area's elegant lighting, high ceilings, and cozy glow nearly takes your breath away when viewed for the first time. I'm not quite a fan of the huge nearly floor to ceiling mirrors that are placed along the walls and believe more could have been done decor wise, but the rest of the Christmasy touches for the holidays made up for some of this. There's a bar with TV screens if you're aiming for a more casual feel, enclosed patio, and traditional seating for small parties up to larger groups. The designers definitely try to be thoughtful, making blankets available to those dining on the enclosed patio. There was a live musician playing the night we went playing covers of popular songs. Volume was a little too loud for us to talk comfortably so we really had to lean in for conversation. Possibly a side effect of the acoustics of the huge building. Restrooms are located near the front with separate men's and women's stalls. Menu-wise, it's traditional American steakhouse, with a variety of meat and seafood options. Some menu items rotate seasonally. Obviously, wine is a highlight of their menu as well, but they do serve other spirits. I did like that their menu suggested wine pairings for each main course. They were out of the ciabatta app when I went, so we opted for a French Onion Soup and Caesar Salad. Both were pretty average - the salad could have come out of a kit with a ton of parmesan sprinkled on top and I wouldn't have been surprised. Main course wise, the Salmon was very nicely done - tender and moist with a perfect slightly sweet seasoning. Hot Honey Sandwich was above average, a towering stack of a sandwich, but the chicken was overdone. For dessert, we enjoyed the on-theme Pumpkin Creme Brulee, but the Tiramisu also tasted and looked like something store-bought. We had a lovely time roaming the grounds for a bit after dinner, enjoying the paved and gently lit paths which meander over a babbling brook and several cute clearings that I'm sure are a hit for photoshoots and weddings."
"Clubhouse No. 3 is exactly what the city of Sandusky (and surrounding area) needed. It is a fantastic social club that has something for everyone. Looking for a bar with unique drinks? They have it! Want to watch all the games at once on multiple televisions? They have that! I Looking for a place to hang with friends and play golf, baseball, darts, and more? They have that! Into shuffleboard? They have that! Do your kids get excited about giant Jenga or Connect 4? They have that! The best part is, you can have all of this at reasonable prices, the experience goes on rain or shine as it's all indoor, and you'll get great service from the excellent staff they employ.Do yourself a favor and check this place out!"
"Great wedding venue. While the menus will differ, the food was served family style and was excellent. There is only one bar area which tends to get a little stuffy but the staff was was quick, professional, and kept things moving. The facilities were extremely clean and well maintained. From the staff, to the food, to the facility, everything was top notch. Would definitely consider St. Michaels Woodside for any type of reception in the future."
"Great place to have a wedding. The space is amazing and much flexibility to do as you wish with it. A very open welcoming area and enjoyed the concept of waiting for the main dining room to be open to us. The red brick setting is amazing. Windows are beautiful. The food had great flavor."
"We attended this concert there. My goodness!! Let me tell you how beautiful this Banquet Hall is, it many rooms. It accommodates many different parts. The food was outstanding. Clean fun place!!! Great place to hold a party."
"Great restaurant the food was very good definitely will be back again soon and I'm going to bring friends"
"I attended a wedding here in summer and have mixed reviews: The place is pretty much what you make of it as you have a lot of input on how things are setup: Short and sweet summary:Pros: Nice facility, plenty of parking, nicely setup, garden nicely situated for the ceremony. corn hole was fun at the wedding, a fire pit.Cons: Nothing is close to here, no hotel, no transport, Uber doesn't even come here, they only allowed alcohol to be served for 4hrs so we had people standing around after dinner looking at the bar for about 35mins unable to have a drink (very weird), they require security for each function. I found it weird again with a police officer walking around a wedding. I have never been to a wedding with a police or security guard walking around. It can get very warm/hot. No air conditioning in the barn, the sun was very warm during the ceremony, 3 bathrooms for 120 people didn't seem enoughI would probably look for something better if you were looking for the perfect wedding."

We loved having our wedding reception at Gambitta's on 10/15/16. Sam was so kind, and everything went smoothly the day of. The food was amazing! We got so many compliments on how delicious it was!

We had the most beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony here back in 2020. This hidden gem is affordable and can be decorated to fit your theme! Plus they catered our brunch wedding!

Tried the new Taco de Birria meal. A little more expensive than tye Street Tacos but a worthy addition. Tastes great and has a small cup of beef pot drippings for dipping.

We had an absolute phenomenal experience here. We were drawn for Cleveland Restaurant Week, so got to enjoy three courses. It is a fancy ish, pricey ish restaurant but worth the money and the vibe is awesome. I prefer seating in the back area with the windows and bar vs the bright area right when you walk in. The food was amazing. When the one dessert came out sub par, the server made sure to replace it. The server was excellent!! The manager checked in with us too. The Ariancini balls were the highlight dish. Bolognese dish was small, and personally not worth the price in my opinion. But the rest was great portions! We will be back to try the chicken tender tower, and to enjoy another spicy marg during happy hour!

Beautiful higher end venue is large with windows looking out onto the woods and fire pits. The bar is long. Some evenings at 6 a guitarist plays after happy hour. This happy hour, from 4-6 p.m., the special was an $8 smash burger. Drinks were a bit high priced. Wine was $4 off, so an 8 oz pour was $20. The Reserve Chardonnay was perfect. The apps were reasonably priced. My mussels were $9 and were plenty to share or eat alone with toasted bread. The shrimp cocktail was three tails for $9. There are six menu items and all looked delicious. The server explained the Napa wines, which are dry, and the speciality drinks. She was great. Large parking. Handicapped accessible.

Great place for a reception or special event. Staff is excellent and the food is outstanding. Covered entrance, nice welcome area with coat room. Spacious dance floor with two bar room areas located on both sides of the facility. I've attended several types of events there and each one better than the next.

"Because of the way the owner tried to handle one comment in my previous review that he was not happy with, I'm now lowering my rating from three stars. No attempt was made to contact me directly to discuss the information in my previously written review. In my experience, the response was vindictive instead of proactive in solving an issue. I'm leaving the rest of my review unchanged as it was an honest review.I've been to many, many events at this facility. They are able to handle very large events and have an attached hotel. The lobby, banquet rooms and bathrooms have always been clean with current, more elegant style decor and in good repair. The food is always well presented but the quality is low for the pricing. It just always looks better than it tastes. Also, pretty much every event I've been to over the past several years has had the same predictable menu. This is a decent option for a large formal event in lake county, but it could use an update of the menu and food quality to make it worth the high prices. Unfortunately, there's no competition for this type of facility in the area and the owner takes advantage of it."
"The social club is big in size and can accommodate large parties easily. There is a lot of good parking outside and open till midnight on Fri and Sat! The food for portions were a decent size, but nothing was particularly innovative. It came out warm not hot. We ordered we ordered for apps. the fresh Burrata, Palmento cheese, balls. For the main we ordered the duck but we ended up with a short rib and I ended up trying it before noticing it was not the dish I ordered.Still, it was well cooked and enough to share for two. The service at the front desk helped us promptly and our waitress was also very nice. The golf is something we didn't try but seemed popular, like the bar. The vibe is trendy but there is a change in scenery if you go upstairs or downstairs. There are three golf bays downstairs and six golf bays on the second floor. The space is big and nice to be in. They play music but it isn't too loud. It seems like a very cool place for a business party, birthday, or graduation party. Come check it out!"
"Great bowling facility. They have more than enough lanes to accommodate groups here. Good ball selection, good customer service, and a nice atmosphere that isn't too dated as some lanes are. I enjoy these lanes when I am in town. The pizza place here is very good! Try some pizza and wings if you come in for a longer stay, this was a surprise to our group. We didn't expect the quality to be as good as it was. Very nice bowling alley overall."
"We Had dinner here, Saturday with family celebrating a birthday. And the service was wonderful Chris and the team just spectacular. Really nice energy wonderful wine area. It really is a place for everyone. Kids can eat here. Families can eat here and you have a really nice bar scene. Also, when the weather is nice, you can sit out on the patio. There's a separate smoking area so folks are not bothered by that if it makes you uncomfortable overall really nice energy in a nice vibe great place for friends date night outing Reunion you name it!"
"Definitely a unique experience. The room itself was basic. Definitely outdated decor but I actually liked it because it went with the overall cozy feel of the place, whether that's intentional or not I don't know! But very clean and perfect for a weekend getaway. Quite enjoyed the wine on site, but I don't know that I would boast it as a winery. A little shopfront in the lobby where you can sample and buy isn't my idea of a winery, but that's not why I chose to stay here so for me, it was just a perk. But I think visitors to town for shopping who drove out of their way to make a pitstop at local winery may be disappointed. The laughing blush wine was our favorite, we enjoyed two bottles over our long weekend. Weekend complimentary breakfast was nice for sure. Biscuits and gravy, cheesy hashbrowns, bacon wrapped egg cups, and assorted toasts and pastries. Nice way to start the day off!But the real gem of this place is the unique horse experience. When we pulled up, they were roaming freely on both sides of the long drive and we worried they got loose somehow. I knew there were horses nearby on the property because we signed up to horseback ride but we didn't know they'd literally be in the yard of the inn. You can walk right up and pet them while they graze throughout the yard around the beautiful gazebos, swings, and pond behind the inn. This was so quirky and fun! Horseback riding itself was awesome and the hour long ride through the rolling hills and woods on the property was beautiful this time of year. The guide, Rudy, was very nice. I'd come back for the horse experience alone, but the entire place was very pleasant and relaxed. Truly perfect for a cozy weekend getaway."
"A good friend of mine recommended coming here specifically for their chicken Marsala. We had been talking about our experiences at various places in the area and that my husband still had not found something he loved here. She highly recommended La Pizzaria and said her wedding receptions was here because of the chicken Marsala. We had a date night and decided to try it out. If my husband could have a review of just his dinner, he'd give it five stars. However, there were a lot of other things going on that caused the two stars.First... the service was lousy. When I asked our server for recommendations, as we'd never been here, she said "oh I don't know... the seafood is good, and so are the steaks... and the pasta." Like completely generic and not helpful all.We started with the bruschetta bc of fellow Yelpers saying its good and it was just ok. Not the best I've ever had but not the worse either.I got the French Onion soup to start and it was completely bland. With a $3 up charge to have it instead of salad, it was overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth it.Our dinners were good. My husband LOVED his Marsala but my lasagne was just ok. Not too flavorful and a ginormous portion. I had enough to have again for dinner a few nights later. As soon as we were done we asked for boxes and the check and we then sat for over 20 minutes waiting for our waitress to return. My husband had to hunt her down bc we needed to leave and had wasted a half hour just waiting for boxes and our check.Overall my husband would go back, but I'm not sure if I will. It's too expats take kids ($8 kids meals that don't include a drink) and it was a rather expensive dinner for what we got."
"EVENT SPACE -- Gordon Green, located in the Gordon Square neighbourhood of Cleveland, is a beautiful event space that recently opened almost one year ago, in September 2020. INSIDE -- I visited this space for an event on Sunday, August 22nd. It's huge inside with just one level (one floor). Chairs and tables can be set up in different ways. There is also an outside courtyard with chairs and tables. The bathroom is clean and immaculate and reminds me of a fancy hotel bathroom. There is also a kitchen for catering food. The space was well air conditioned inside and I felt comfortable during my whole visit.According to an article on Cleveland.com website, "The 10,000 square-foot building has a long history; it was originally a furniture showroom in the early 1900s, and it later became a banquet space and cultural center for Gordon Square's Vietnamese community. Holland and fellow business partners Kyle Lawrence, John Lawrence and K.C. Stitak led the vision for Gordon Green, and worked to maintain historic aspects of the property like its original hardwood floors and tin ceilings, according to a press release."I recommend Gordon Green for parties, conferences, mini-retreats, and just any general event.****- 46/100 total reviews in 2021- 466 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 24 August 2021"
"My favorite place to eat in Fairport. Amazing food, amazing service always, and the prices couldn't be more reasonable. I'm here at least once a week and am never disappointed. I have yet to have a bad experience. 10/10 recommend!"
"Went to see Avengers with the family at Cinemark. The movie was excellent and so was the theater. I like that they now server alcohol and they have a popcorn topping area where you can add your own salt and butter. I think they should take that popcorn topping bar to the next level where you build your own popcorn bag. I think you should be able to pick your own kind of popcorn and choose from many toppings. They shall call it, "The Grand Popcorn Buffet". Who's with me?The seats in the theater were really comfortable, I didn't fall asleep, the 3-D movie was great and the sound was just right. It wasn't too loud. I enjoyed the movie and I'll be back for more at this nearby theater."
"I attended the W.A.G.S. 4 KIDS benefit here and had a lovely time. As others have stated, the Ariel International Center has nice views of the city skyline. I had an easy experience with the valet and there's ample free parking. The building is accessible, which is so appreciated amongst the sea of inaccessible venues in Cleveland. The venue has two floors and is surprisingly large. The event itself ran flawlessly with professional staff, a nice layout and a good feeling of comfort in a big space that still felt intimate. Glad I could check this venue out and I'll keep it in mind for future events!"
"Second visit to Mohican park but first time here. We didnt stay here but i would love to. Especially would love to stay in one of the castle rooms. Love they have pool and jacuzzi in heated separate buildings. Love they have cute restaurant with full bar. Its mature woods and i enjoyed walking around watching the chipmunks and birds. Im sure its lovely every season but fall was gorgeous. We also drove around the park to the lake and covered bridge. Quick look at the gorge but didnt do the gorge trail... maybe next time."
"Loved having my wedding here the people so accommodating and pricing was worth it !! Would recommend to friends and large families !!"
"This is a restaurant that I frequent about once a month with my mom. It's a nice, well lit space with very reasonable prices and a full bar. On a clear day you can see the lake. We go early with the rest of the grey panthers who dine there regularly. There is always a great special, a fish dish, a couple types of steak (around $13) a full salad bar and a great assortment of desserts. The service is good but they could use a bench so the walker crowd has a place to sit while waiting for a table. This is a great place to take your mom when she has a hankering for a steak and a martini. It's like going back in time--I'm glad it's here!"
"Great service & atmosphere, location is very nice! Tried the Birria ramen & it was good but on the sweeter side, not super authentic but then again, there's no such thing as an authentic Birria ramen. Prices are on the higher side but are to be expected considering the location"
"I'm not quite sure how to rate a private club. The Union Club is one of those old-line business clubs. You couldn't afford to build this facility now -- huge public rooms, loads of marble, fresh flowers, elevators that were installed when elevators had human operators, staff waiting to tend to your every need.In October I stayed at the Union Club (I might have been the only guest), ate dinner there and then again breakfast the following morning. And I spoke there in an event in one of the private rooms.Meeting venue. As an event venue, the Union Club was great. The sound and A/V worked perfectly. The staff brought in extra chairs for the larger-than-expected crowd. (I spoke about Cuba.)Restaurants. After the program eight of us ate at the restaurant. To my surprise, the food was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was in a different room. Huge. Loads of windows. Lots of well dressed, high powered executives (male and female, black and white, 30s to seniors) actually talking business over breakfast. Copies of the WSJ. Brisk, polite service with the standard breakfast fare served on beautiful china.Sleeping facilities. The room I was in was huge but needed to be remodeled. The desk chair needed to be reupholstered, the wallpaper was curling at the seems, the bathroom looked like it had been renovated in the last decade. Bottom line: a three star hotel would have been less convenient but more comfortable. Having said all of that, the Union Club was interesting. Obviously it was where the city elite met back when Cleveland was an industrial powerhouse. It must have been a huge challenge for the Club to evolve as the city evolved. That they are still in business is a tribute to the Club's manager and board of directors -- and to mortgage that must have been paid off half a century ago."
"A total hidden gem! Found myself in Kent for business. My conference ended early and I remembered I had seen Bell Tower on Instagram and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! I did a beer flight. There were so many options that made it hard to chose but I was open to trying anything. The tasting was a great experience, some were better than others (according to my taste buds). They have a great food selection as well! Nice to keep the good vibes going. The interior was breathtaking. From the color scheme to the different seating options, amazing. Love the concept of old church converted to brewery. Great experience!"
"Thanks for a beautiful and enjoyable wedding reception! The bride and groom were thrilled, and I had the time of my life.Terrific service in a beautiful venue -- simply perfect from start to finish!"
"Visited for an evening wedding ceremony and reception. The layout of this banquet hall is lovely! The indoor space is spacious and there are French doors that open to a beautifully landscaped courtyard overlooking the gazebo. On the opposite end of the room is a wall lined with windows overlooking the pond and fountain. The reception began with music, bar, and a large appetizer bar serving cheese, sliced meats, crackers, and meatballs etc. when it came time for dinner, the staff was quick and very attentive. Dinner was served buffet style and was tasty! We enjoyed green bean almandine buttered red skin potatoes, Alfredo penne pasta, and prime rib. Everything was beautifully set up and the bathrooms were very clean as well."
"Excellent location for huge events. Tons of parking and space.it's well kept up at a good price. Hold large events here, you won't be upset."
"Great service, good beers at a great price. They hooked it up with a free beer when I got the wrong one which was nice of them and big plus in my book.Mostly was IPAs on their menu but their Belgian ales were good and all beers were around $6. Pretty awesome if you ask me!"
"Came here a few weekends ago to meet some friends, we've always heard about it, but it's a little off the beaten path for us so we have never committed to coming, It's a smaller bar, but very fun, the bartenders are fast, prices are normal if not a little cheaper than anywhere else you go, and the atmosphere was great. I met several "regulars" and they were super nice. We will definitely go back to see another band and hang out!"
"I am honestly ashamed of myself that I have been popping into this brewery since they opened but I have not yet written a review for them! I've done Zumba classes here, gone on dates here, I even bought my niece a t-shirt from here! I think it's the best brewery on Front street. Nice variety of beers and good food options to go with them! Plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor as well on nice days. Pleasant service all around. I always go with a beer flight and like to show up on the weekends when they first open - not as crowded or loud."
"Had take out today as part of a fundraiser. Dinner came with bread, salad /dressing, pasta, chicken Parm, and meatballs. Everything was packed separately. You pull up and they put your order in the car; you pay online. Salad was fresh and happy they included the dressing in a tub. Pasta was delicious as expected. Meatballs were good and had extra sauce in the container. Chicken Parm was amazing - great flavor, large size, and tender. All food was hot. Feeds 4-6."
