"I've gotten takeout from here a few times and I loved it! Each employee I've spoken to, whether on the phone or in person at the restaurant, has been super friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant is more geared towards takeout, there is a decent sized dining room, always very clean with beautiful Thai decor. I've tried the crazy noodles, vegetable gyoza, and their classic pad Thai. Food was fresh and delicious!"
"Been on the search for an authentic, delicious Thai restaurant in Cleveland! I am glad to have ventured to Banana Blossom for lunch!Banana blossom has a variety of dishes to select from for lunch. There are noodles, fried rice and curry and rice dishes. These are all great deals for lunch options. These same dishes are also available for dinner but you are getting a discount, although portion may be a little smaller. I tried the Tom yum soup, pad thai and basil fried rice. You can select the protein of your choice for various entrees. These were all super delicious and flavorful. I ordered these dishes as take out and they were packaged nicely with care. I want to emphasize that these dishes tastes amazing! I have tried other Thai restaurants in Cleveland and none of them compare to this place!"

"This is a beautiful little restaurant with a very humble and friendly owner, unfortunately I wasn't able to dine in being she's not able to retain the staff required to operate consistently, so at this time the restaurant is take-out only. I arrived in the Akron area mid afternoon on a recent Sunday and was looking for a sit down restaurant close to my hotel, after reading the reviews and looking at the photos I changed direction and decided to order takeout - the drive was less than 3 minutes from my hotel and I arrive earlier than the 20 minutes she stated when I placed my order and my food was waiting for me when I walked through the door.I can just imagine how good the dine-in experience would have been after meeting the owner and chatting with her for a few minutes - the food was absolutely amazing I ordered it Thai Hot which translates to level 5 here and it was perfect I will say I've eaten much hotter but this will light you up so don't take my statement that it wasn't hot because it was, but more importantly the flavors were incredible as were the textures.Well I hope this place survives during these troubling economic times because it will be on my short list of favorites that I will return to whenever I'm in the area. It's really one of the best example of the dish I enjoyed that maybe I've ever eaten. I can't imagine a better option for Thai food..."
"Outstanding food!Just like being in Hong Kong Flavors, ambiance it's all legit and delicious!"
"Cannot say enough good things about this food joint! Everyone is so very friendly and food is always delicious and FRESH! It's a staple to my fiancé and I every time we come to Cleveland to visit family!!"
"Everything is Amazing. From easy, peasy parking, to the service staff, to the food portions, prices and flavors to the cocktails... I just LOVE IT! The ambiance is okay, but i wish always for background, whether music or water dropping, running for nostalgic sound. You can hear every conversation around you... even if u aren't interested."
"Went to Cilantro last night for a double date, and this place did not disappoint! We decided to split a sushi boat for two among four people, and it was more than enough food. Of course, we ordered a few extra items on the side, and everything was absolutely awesome. The service was great--attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We requested a table towards the back, which was perfect for a more relaxed atmosphere. The front of the restaurant feels a bit like you're on display, and sitting further back gave us the space we were hoping for.If you're looking for great sushi, great service, and a comfortable setting, I'd highly recommend Cilantro."
"Just have to say, many years later and this place is still 5 s !! My order is still the exact same (Tom Kha with tofu, massaman curry with extra veggies, and the occasional Lavendar bubble tea). Food is always excellent !"
"Came in on a hoppin Saturday night 10 days before Christmas and the place was packed! If you come on the weekend reservations are probably a good idea. Parking will be hit/miss, you might get somewhere close. You might park 4 blocks away like I had to. The inside has a nice vibe as it's situated in an older building with lots of brick. The place is loud if it's busy so be prepared for that. The food is all really good, from the pho to the rangoons and egg rolls to all the sushi. My only chief complaint and I'm offering grace here because I know it was busy, is that it took a solid 25-30 minutes to get the appetizers after we got our drinks. Otherwise the service was good as well as the food. Check it out!"
"This was my first time at this restaurant. I was a part of a big party and I was able to sample different appetizers. The lettuce wraps and the grape leaf that was filled with meat and spices was very tasty. My entree was so salty. I asked about the sauce and was told it was a barbecue type sauce. When it arrived, the sauce was a salty gravy that I had to doctor up to make edible. The staff was mostly attentive but two people returned their dishes and asked to get a replacement. Our server never returned to take their replacement order so they just sat and watched us eat. I might try them again again but only if I am already downtown. I would try another Vietnamese restaurant first."
"Amazing service and food. Recommend Sweet Mango always. The Pad Thai country style is phenomenal! Sweet Mango is a very quaint and clean place with excellent food."
"My boyfriend spotted this restaurant, and we decided to give it a try. We made reservations, and when we arrived the place was full, and when we mentioned our reservations, they got a little panicked look on their face. Luckily, a table was getting ready to leave, so we only had to wait five minutes or so. The staff was super friendly, and there are lots of options on the menu. I got an appetizer called Blanket Shrimp, which I've never seen before, but it sounded good and I wanted to give it a try. It was delicious! To me, it was like crab Rangoon, except with shrimp. I love Pad Thai, which I always order without a protein. When I said I didn't want protein, again, the panicked look. She asked me if I wanted it served vegetarian, I said, no, just prepare the Pad Thai without a protein. Still the panicked look. She offered me a list of veggies that could be added, so I picked a couple so that everybody could be happy. After she left the table, I realized that she hadn't asked any of us how spicy we wanted our meal. The Thai restaurant we usually frequent always offers us an option of spice level. My son pointed out that on the menu there were little spice notations next to each menu option, so it is a predetermined spice level on all the dishes. Our food arrived quickly and piping hot! The portions are large, and we all had to take home at least half of our entrée. Despite being a full restaurant, the sound level was good and permitted us to be able to have a nice conversation. We will definitely return!"

We had a lovely group dinner last night! I love the ambiance - so warm and upscale. The service was polite and friendly. Our food was so good! My husband had the chicken with Cashews, I had the Thai Basil with Shrimp, my friends had the Garlic Salmon and the Country Pad Thai. I would suggest that you call at least the day before for reservations. I'm glad we did - there was a line out the door waiting when we got there and they took us straight to our table.

First of all, the restaurant is beautiful, light and modern with tasteful decor everywhere you look and pops of orange all around. We went at 4:30 on a Saturday and were seated quickly. By 5 there were at least 6 other parties eating there as well. Our waiter, Bruce, did a great job making sure we were well taken care of. We scanned a QR code to view the menu. Our food came out within what seemed like 10 minutes and it tasted delicious. I inhaled my Thai basil fried rice and my partner enjoyed his Massaman curry too. Both were quite spicy at level 3/5. I couldn't wait to eat the leftovers for breakfast. This was the best Thai food I've had in a while and can't imagine eating anywhere else if I'm ever back in the area!

Well only went to get papaya salad which is hard to find in Cleveland especially in the winter. Summertime there are a few places that make it. This did not disappoint it was exactly what I was craving. I would definitely go and eat there and try other things.

"I ordered this for delivery and it was amazing! The curry and noodles were so flavorful. The mild had the right amount of spice and was delicious! I will definitely get it again!"
"The food and service was great. The only issue I have with my experience there is that they have lunch prices, and I went during lunch time. When ordering. I got charged dinner prices. So please specify when you go there for lunch that you want lunch prices."
"Beautiful decor. Outdoor seating available. We parked in the street. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Service was at a leisurely pace, which was okay because we were taking refuge from a cold rainy day and enjoying our time. Tofu Tom yum soup hit the spot. The vegetable potstickers were delicious and very crunchy. Really enjoyed our green curry (wow! If you ask for spicy expect spicy) and pad ginger. Tons of flavor. Appropriate heaping serving of delicious rice. Unfortunately they were out of coconut cream pie so we opted for key lime. It was great."
"No thrills... the food here was good. I've had much better but I've also had much worse.. mid"
"A friend of mine stated that we would be having Pho & Rice for dinner. I thought that it was an odd combination but didn't put much into it after that. It wasn't until we were all together that I realized we were getting takeout from somewhere and that Pho & Rice was the name of the restaurant. We came in on a pretty snow heavy day so there weren't many customers inside. The staff was kind, accommodating, and overall had everything ready to go pretty quickly. I had the Vietnamese Sandwich (Bahn-Mi), which they allowed me to sub the pork out with tofu. It was pretty tasty. I'm not sure what my friends had but I do know that they enjoyed their meals, as well."
"I didn't realize that I had been to this restaurant before.I ordered takeout and picked it up. Which is think made a huge difference rather than having a delivery service. The food was piping hot and it seems like it's a popular place for takeout. It was towards the end of their service and although online ordering was done, we could still call and place the order. There were a few people waiting to collect their takeout orders. The customer service was great and the restaurant looks quite nice. The takeout pick up is in the very back of the restaurant.I got the pan fried dumplings and the Siam tofu curry. The curry is definitely much better than the past order. The broth was so flavorful that I would've been over the moon with just a bowl of that either way rice. Of course there was rice and veggies which were delicious. I wish the tofu would've been able to soak up the broth more but I wouldn't say that's a deal breaker by any means. The dumplings were ok. The dipping sauce made them more tasty. But I wouldn't say this is a must order.I think next time I'll get a curry and try some noodles. Definitely would come back again"
"This place is one of our favs, period!Appetizer:You have to and I mean it should be law, get the tteokbokki! This stuff will legit change your life.We also love the bok choy.Any of the dishes I have had are great. I usually settle on the japchae with shrimp, so so good!My wife loves the drunken noodles.Their portions are awesome, prices are great and the atmosphere is super fun!"
"I first visited on a Monday in early August 2024, for dinner, with a Yelp friend, Kathy. She had heard of this restaurant during COVID (2021 or 2022) but I hadn't heard of it so I was happy to check it out.I didn't know this was a self service restaurant until I entered with my friendSERVICE (3/5) -- It was simple but I have no complaints. The complimentary tea is a nice touch (you serve this yourself in a small plastic cup). This isn't a regular restaurant though. It is more of a takeaway establishment because you have to go up to the counter to order, they serve your food in a plastic container (it doesn't matter whether it is dine-in or takeout order, you will get plastic utensils and container), and they provide plastic cups for water. The host was direct and to the point when you go up to him to order. There is no small talk initiated but I think I did notice a smile out of him. After we ordered, he then brought my friend and I our food to the table. He didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink because you have to order everything at once at the counter when you initially enter the restaurant.FOOD (3.5/5) -- I enjoyed what I ordered. I got the Indonesian Fried Rice which cost $14.95 for a dinner size plate. There were 2 pieces of chicken in the container - fried, crispy pieces and regular un-fried pieces that were dry. The oil or sauce given helped to make the un-fried chicken less dry. The rice was cooked well and had some flavour. There was a small egg on top of the whole dish. I had hardly eaten all day so I was hungry. I almost finished the whole container of food. I ate the leftovers the following day (Tuesday) in the evening by candlelight since Cleveland lost electricity on that day starting at 4pm.Overall, my experience here was between a 3.5/5 and a 4/5 experience. A 3/5stars is fair considering that I have only tried 1 item on the menu so far. I don't live close so I'm unsure I'll be back. If I'm in the Cleveland Heights area then I won't mind ordering the Indonesian Fried Rice or trying something else on the menu.****GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024- 84/150 total reviews in 2024- 734 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 10 August 2024"
"Instead of waiting in food truck lines we opted to go here for dinner while at a local festival. Great serendipity! They have an extensive Thai menu as well as many Asian choices. From Pad Thai to Curry to Noodles and soups. It's a small little place, understated and unassuming. Friendly staff greeted and seated us promptly. You get a big plastic jug to refill your water which was really kind of cute. The food was fabulous! 10/10 best I have had for some time. My daughter and I shared the Yellow Curry with Scallops and the Crispy Noodle Pad Thai with chicken. Plenty of food. The Crab Rangoon was TO DIE FOR. Cloud fluffy filling with super crispy and feather light wrapper. This is a must try. Service was good and there was lots of parking out front. Great dinner and experience."
"This is my go to resturant when I visit Cleveland. The food is amazing and the service is even better. Must go!"
"My sister was in town for a visit and we were in the mood for Thai food. Found this place by using Yelp, and it was a hit! We had the tofu appetizer which came with a raucous dipping sauce, then Pad Thai (so good!) and Yum Mama (amazing veg option). It's a bit pricey, but worth it!"
"Ordered takeout and it was a "wow" experience. Enjoyed the flavors of the Thai fried rice. Also had the pad thai with chicken and it was delicious, generous portions."
"It had been years since I first visited so we went out for a date night to see all the changes. They have have a great covered patio area. The restaurant is bright and fresh with all the lights. I loved the pictures in the bathroom. The food is always interesting to try. I wish they had a sampler platter so you could get a variety of instead we just ordered a couple dishes and shared. The spring rolls are delish. I tried the curry and a house special. I love the fresh vegetables and the unique flavors. They also have a great drink menu with mocktails!"
"Although i do appreciate a punny restaurant name, the pad thai here is super average. I live close by so decided to get takeout. My roommate got the regular pad thai and I got the country pad thai, which is a little bit more spicy and flavorful. I would definitely opt for the country version- the normal version looks like it has no sauce on it. I have never in my life seen a pad thai so pale. I still think I prefer the Country Pad Thai from Tree Country Inn next door.I posted a picture of the two types of pad thai side by side for comparison!"
"Found this little spot on the google maps while trying to find a spot that was on the way home. Lucky me!! The mango chicken wings were hands down bone licking delicious! I didn't even want to share. My husband got the chili duck and I had try it. I wasn't a duck fan until now. Amazing. My son doesn't even like Thai food so I got him the mango paradise and he loved it and the duck too. Of course you can't go wrong with Mango sticky rice dessert. We will definitely be back for more."
"Every time I've eaten food from here, it's been delicious! We got takeout and it was done right on time. We ordered online, which was easy. I got the massaman curry with noodles, which was absolutely delicious. My husband got the crispy chicken basil rice, which we said was good too."
"We enjoy eating here!!! It's right on the square in Medina!!! Our food is always excellent! And of course, we love Dino!!!! He's the manager and he always takes good care of us!!! We love the spicy shrimp salad, the pot stickers, egg rolls and chicken wraps!!! Great appetizers!!! We also love the Peach Schnapps chicken with crunchy rice!!! Yummy!!! My date likes house Chou Fun noodles!!! One of my favorite places!!!!"
"Second time coming here and it is fast becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Nice selection of dishes to choose from and everything we have had was very good. They have picture menus and written in case you are not familiar with Thai food. Service is excellent and you can dine in or get to go. Give this place a chance, you won't regret it."
"Before trying Brown Sugar, I've been very disappointed with my Thai experiences in the CLE area since moving here almost two years ago. So glad we decided to order from somewhere different tonight and give Brown Sugar a chance! Ordering from DoorDash, we decided to order some of the most popular (and our favorite) dishes Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Siam Rolls. Every single bite was absolutely delicious! I'll be honest and say that when I first opened the containers, I thought they just looked OK but they were all awesome. The Pad Thai has the perfect balanced flavor of acidic and sweet and the tofu was cooked great. The drunken Noodles were just the perfect amount of spicy and the noodles were weirdly textured just like they should be! The rolls were a nice little appetizer too and I would 100% order all of these items again. I'm pumped to try a curry dish and some Thai tea too next time!"
"Food is great, service is good, new restaurant location is not as inviting as previous. Also recommend Massaman curry and the wrap appetizer."
"After having had several great experiences at their sister restaurant in Pinecrest, I decided to give this Aurora location a try. The dining room is much larger and the bar is fairly large, but parking is limited and I was forced to park in the pizza shop lot next door. This restaurant has a different feel than its counterpart but not in a bad way. The ambiance is a little less trendy but it is also less noisy and great for larger groups. There were two servers and one bar tender then night we came. Only the bar tender seemed to speak enough English to take our order but the other servers did check on us and try to assist when they could. The menu is exactly try the same as Pinecrest but they also have a huge sushi menu where they give you a marker to check all the rolls you wish to try. We skipped sushi tonight and opted for the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Sand Pebbles Pad Thai. Although we waited for about 15 minutes before someone came to take our order, our food came out in about 10 minutes and it was delicious! Both dishes were outstanding. The lettuce wraps are big enough to eat alone as an entree and the pad Thai was enormous. They loaded it with the most light and crispy chicken I've ever tasted - we had enough to take two big pieces home with us. The shrimp on the pad Thai were also large and flavorful. I have been to this restaurant chain 4 times now and have yet to get a bad dish or bad service. I can't say enough about these guys - if you like Asian food (the menu includes Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Singapore, etc) and are looking for good value for your money and a great meal, check out either location. You can't go wrong here."
"Absolutely phenomenal Daddy+Daughter lunch at Thai Pattaya Restaurant in Portage Lakes. Absolutely phenomenal! Cannot wait to go back we got the Appetizer Platter, Spicy Beef, Sticky Rice, Drunken Noodles and Pad Khing. Great Portions and everything was outstanding!BOOM!!!"
"Super cute little spot off Exchange St with a HUGE menu. Ambience and service was excellent. We got spicy basil with tofu and the pho with tofu. Both were incredibly delicious. If you're showing up super hungry I recommend the pho as the portions are huge."
