Very casual just a few tables in fromt of a walk up counter not a full service restaurant or anything. U can also find authentic mexican bakery, meats and veggies in the grocery behind as well. Grab my tortillas there not the gringo walmart chemical ones. Very much worth a visit if ur from anywhere clsoe to mexico and looking for street tacos type stuff. Just bring ur wallet. They opened another location in Amherst!!! Far west foodies, ur welcome! Lolz"

"Decided to do a fun little day trip to Oberlin with my boyfriend. The town has a lot of quaint little stores, as well as beautiful areas around campus. Several store owners recommended that we eat here, so that's what we did. We were able to be seated right away which was nice. We both got burgers with fries for dinner, and they were excellent. FYI, this isn't the kind of place where they ask you how you want your burger cooked. They've already decided the best way for it to be served, and that's how they serve it. The fries were especially yummy! But the real star, in my opinion, was the spring roll appetizer. Hot, crunchy, delicious, just absolutely perfect!! I'd come back just for this appetizer! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!"

"We had a delicious and affordable lunch at Tacos Mexicanos! Their lunch specials are varied and generous, with most under $10 before 3pm. I had a fajita quesadilla with rice and vegetables and an extra side of refried beans. The quesadilla was teeming with fresh vegetables and chicken - delicious with tons of flavor. The beans were also delicious, with a hint of spice. We got bottomless chips and salsa, too! You can't go wrong. Service was friendly and they also offer great deals on alcohol."

"My husband and I stopped here for lunch on a recent visit to Cleveland and oh man was it delicious!! It's a pretty small spot and when we walked in, no one else was there. But we must have just gotten there right in time because while we ate, a steady stream of folks came in for lunch. I opted for build your own tacos - one chicken, one chorizo and one barbacoa. Each was just as good as the last. It's similar to Chipotle where you walk down the line and let them know what you'd like to add and they had plenty of yummy toppings. My husband had a burrito and enjoyed his as well. Chips and salsa (we had the pico) were also perfect. They make a great pico. This really hit the spot and I would highly recommend stopping by!!"

Shortly afterward, our server took our drink and guacamole order. Very nice, helpful and attentive staff!The guacamole was good; very fresh and tasty! For my meal, I ordered the Azteca Sampler. Delicious! Loved it and had enough for two meals. Enjoyed having both chicken and beef in it. My spouse really liked the burro he ordered. It was also big enough for two meals. All food is freshly prepared here. The margarita--also delicious! Prices are really good here too. Enjoyed eating here!"

I can't help it but I tend to order one if two items, the huevos rancheros are delicious, and comforting with chips and salsa. Make sure you order a pitcher of house margaritas, not too sweet with a generous amount of tequila. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is consistently great and it's great for a crowd or two people sharing a booth...nice I want Fiesta Jalapeños."

"I don't usually go for fusion tacos but if you have fried pork belly on the menu I'm going for it every time. This place is hidden away in the corner of a strip plaza. They also had the overhead lights off so it kind of looked deserted when I walked up. The food was pretty good. I had a Korean bbq pork belly taco. It was tasty but it could of had a bit more belly for $6. The carrot slaw was tasty on top. Dressed with a kind of yum yum sauce.The Arancini balls with goat cheese and chorizo is a genius idea. Would like to see a bit more chorizo in them. They were still pretty tasty. I would come here again if I was in the neighborhood. I'm usually not in that neighborhood but I will remember this place if I am."

"Parking on the front, side and back of their lot. Front entrance only. It's a good size restaurant. Their hot salsa and their house salsa mixed are good together. The hot salsa is Smokey, but on its own it's not as good as mixed for me. Ordered the grilled chicken taco, one shredded chicken taco and lobster chimichanga, fried, no cheese on top and side of beans instead of rice, no cheese. Would have been better for my husband with corn tacos instead, no one asked or gave him the option. Husband kept it normal to keep it simple. Their chips are good, look like they are made from half size corn shells? Crunchy and fresh and at times warm. The guacamole isn't bad, the table side must be even better. The staff are hard working and hustling for our tables. The grilled chicken tacos were okay. The lobster chimichanga were different, not a ton of lobster meat inside, but enough and a unique dish. The spinach is a nice addition."

"Stupendous and amazing Mexican restaurant with incredible food and delicious margaritas! Came here on a busy night but still sat extremely quickly at the bar. It was a very festive atmosphere and took part in the holiday cheer! The margs were giant and quite delicious - dangerously delicious. The steak nachos were absolutely stunning. Hard to get the construction correctly but the layers of meat, cheese, veggies and sauces were divine. My go to is a shrimp quesadilla and I was SO over the moon. First, the quesadilla was massive and the portions of rice and beans were enough for army. The shrimp and cheese inside were so tender and tasty - though I was stuffed to the gills by the time I left, I was so satisfied and very happy to reheat my leftovers the next day. Awesome place and some of the best Mexican I've had in the Great Lakes!"

It's cramped but cozy enough with lots of eye challenging colors.The service was fast and friendly but didn't include a check back until I was done eating.So why only 3 stars?Now, 2 soft chicken tacos for $4.99 seemed like a decent deal until I got them. For some reason, they were both made totally different. Now, the chicken on both were really juicy and tender, but one had a little lettuce, a small piece of cactus, and a tablespoon's worth of cheese. The other had hardly any lettuce, lots of crumbled white cheese, and nothing else. There was no onion or cilantro. Yup, not Mexican at all. I got Taco Bell'd and they got 3 stars."

"Walking along the sidewalk their laser cut steel sign is easily missed, the narrow front facing the sidewalk hides a small restaurant with a long solid wood bar counter with more stools than you might expect for such a small place. They have a full bar and a selection of beers, including a Mango Habanero the server suggested. A fruity palette with a biting swallow, not my thing but another local brew (Pacifico) did the trick. We started with salsa and chips, what a surprise: freshly made salsa and a huge tray of chips, delicious. We followed up with lobster taco's that were as good as "anything lobster" we have had in Maine! Service was happy, attentive, quick and appreciated. Restrooms clean, what more do you want, other than giving place a try!(NOTE: They have some negative reviews none of which was reflected when we visited today)"

Our new favorite has to be the pork fajita, as the pork not only was tender, but was also cooked and seasoned well. Another highlight would be the Mar y Tierra. You get skirt steak as well as bacon-wrapped shrimp, served with rice, pico de gallo, grilled onion, beans and avocado. The food was fresh and seasoned well. There are plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks options available. We tried their delicious Margarita once. And it was the best Mexican food we could find back in 2001. Now, there are seven locations and we've visited most of them.On this visit, we requested our favorite food and drink - fajitas for two and two large, frozen margaritas. It's what we ate 20 years ago and it's what we still enjoy. We waited 10 minutes for a table on a busy Friday night. After requesting, our food arrived within 10 minutes. The warm tortilla chips and salsa were as good as always. The service was excellent.This restaurant has never given us bad food or service. In fact, it has always been excellent. "Austintown location is better!Stopped by El Jala (I shorten it because I'm hip) in Niles. The setup is way similar to their place in A-town. Vivid colors on the walls, Jarritos pop bottles on the ledges between booths serve as decor. Staff is affable and on point; the food is where it trips up a tad. It isn't terrible by any means, but the flavors are inferior to the location on Mahoning Ave. My La Oaxaqueña entree (number 55 on the menu if you're keeping score) was good, but not great. Steak wasn't nearly as tender as it should be, and the seasoning was lacking. Also, the salsa served with the nachos sucks. The free table salsa in Ohio is nearly always bad. Why is this the case? I couldn't cook a dish as good tonight's (just pretty decent) entree La Oaxaqueña, yet I can whip up a salsa that kicks what I was just served down a flight of stairs.Still, El Jalapeño is a good choice if you're in the area and have a hankering for Mexican food. Just don't make the mistake of comparing it to the superior location in Austintown."

Not in my order, oh no because let me tell you I drooled when I saw them. No, the mistake was coming to eat on my own. Because these fries were on a plate that was larger than my head. THAN MY HEAD. For $11.75. Is your mind blow? It should be.Do I regret my choices? Heck no! But yea just a heads up, ginormous.Now how did they taste? Delicious. The toppings were numerous but not overwhelming. Guac, sour cream, meat, tomatoes and onions, creamy green sauce (it has a name but it escapes me...), I was here for all or it. Everything was well-seasoned and balance.I had to figure out how to re-heat them since I could not, in good conscious, actually finish them in one sitting but that's not a bad problem to have.The question isn't should you come here, the question is why aren't you here already."

The flavor was on point. The chicken was moist and perfect. And the chorizo had the right amount of spice. The soup was interesting to begin with. Because of the ingredients. The soup was cows stomach soup. I was apprehensive to order it. But I decided I would order it. I couldn't believe the flavor profile this soup had. You must order this soup.
