"Great butcher shop in downtown Barberton. Huge meat case and many cuts of meat and varieties of sausage and bacon. Their Hungarian salami is awesome and super garlicky. We love their mild Slovenian sausage. Don't leave out fresh pierogis. They also have a nice European beer selection. We had great service and their folks were really hustling. Around the holidays you might have a long line, but it's worth the wait."
"I was driving by and seen the sign. Why not go in. I love small meat establishments. They didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly. The prices seemed very reasonable. I will be back for more."
"Mazzulo's has great meats and a super-friendly staff. I would recommend the finely trimmed and individually wrapped boneless chicken breasts and also the ground tenderloin. If you have never made a meatloaf, tacos, or chili with ground tenderloin, I recommend you give it a shot. It will blow your mind.Last but not least, don't forget some warm pepperoni bread."
"As soon as you walk in the door the smell of baked goods hits you and your senses go into a tail spin. It is such a sweet wonderful smell. Almost as if you were walking into grandma's house and not a farm market. The rows in between are full of different pastas, pasta sauces of all kinds. They have a huge selection of wine, I didn't look carefully but I am sure that they have to have local wines available. Keep walking and you meet up with the low carb wraps in a multitude of flavors, the dairy section as well as the freezer section. In that area you get with the great wall of "WINE"! The meat counter is full of different types of fresh meat. This market place is so big and filled with so many different types of food, vegetables (regular and organic). It's a chefs or cooks play land, I just know if I have any recipe with unique ingredients you will most likely find it here. The variety of foods is insurmountable. There are also sections of assorted chocolates that are sold by the pound. We noticed they have many local foods as well which is very nice. Before we checked out the cashier showed us a great deal they had on containers to preserve vegetables and fruit. We bought two sets!!! You will not go wrong shopping at the Vermillion Farm Market!!"
"I'm sure my cardiologist won't like reading this, but I made a stop at Cheese Haven and it fulfilled all my hopes and dreams with curds, whey, and more. The cheese: ok cheese is in their name so you know they come correct. SO MANY cheeses and varieties; aged, smoked, spicy, and more. We snagged a few different varieties. Our fave was the smoked Swiss and the Colby Jack. Lower on the list was one of the dill cheeses; it was crumbly and not as dilly as we would have liked. Prices vary per pound, but each chunk starts around $5 for a chunk and depending on the type of cheese, you could pay &15+ for a chunk. The spreads: all of these were on point. The simple beer mustard was our fave because, beer + mustard. But they have a nice little selection of spreads and pickled things to add to your charcuterie or cheese board. The candy: our kids got handfuls of salt water taffy and could have easily put themselves into a diabetic coma if we would have not imposed candy limits. Lots of cool candies, old school nostalgic options and literally the most comprehensive assortment of Cow Tails I've ever seen (Oreo, Honey Bun, etc) there are some cool retro toys on display and also a nice assortment of cool Pez to purchase. The wine: a really great assortment of Lake Erie wines from local wineries. My mother in law is a sucker for Pink Catawba, so of course we snagged a bottle. Other stuff: we didn't get any smoked meats (much to my chagrin) nor did we try any popcorn, but next time we definitely will."
"Wonderful meats. We had a prime rib that melt in our mouths. Mainly beef, pork and venison. Always fresh, management are knowledgeable and helpful. I buy my meat there always."
"I was looking forward to my first visit. When I walked in, I found the store to be lacking in organization. Some stuff was in the frozen case, some fresh. There are signs everywhere. If they would organize stuff in the case and make bigger signs to group the sections, this would be a much better place to shop. It didn't feel high quality to me, and for that reason, I left without buying anything, sad to say."
"I came for a pound of jerkies and left with a new love for candied bacon.Darn them at Dionne's...I tried 1/4 lb of their delicious tender thick cut smoked bison jerky, black pepper jerky, and teriyaki jerky. The gentleman helping me slid me a piece of the sweet and spicy bacon jerky (aka bacon candy) and I was hooked instantly. The next day I returned and bought a whole pound. I'm hoping it lasts more than a few days...it is truly a must try. Tender but chewy,Sweet but peppery. Not spicy at all so don't let the name fool you."
"Busy even right before they closed at 6pm. The guy helping me asked my order (a simple half pound or less of three items) at least three times and still left off one item. He was helping multiple people at once which is inefficient and prone to error. The corned beef was actually really fantastic- juicy, flavorful yet not spicy, not dry at all- and about $14/lb. Beef tongue is about $5/lb and same with the havarti cheese."
"LeBron James asked me to rap about this jerky, so here goes.So I heard from friends that this jerky was A-OKBut it's so expensive that I put it on LAYAWAYThen I ran round back and ate it all in the ALLEYWAYThen posted this review a few hours after XMAS DAYI saved up my pennies, but not for a RAINY DAYAnd eventually I went back to CzuchRAJ TO PAYI ran in to LeBron, when I was ON THE WAYAnd he gave me a ride, in a tricked out CHEVROLETWe drank wine all night, I think it was BEAUJOLAISAnd then King James asked me if I'd go ALL THE WAYTo Akron... his hometown... and who was I to DISOBEYAnd that's when he told me who really killed JFKI can't tell you what he said, at least not on BOXING DAYBut like Ari and her man, me and LBJ talk ERRYDAYHe just asked me if I wanna go to his manSION TO PLAY(Bball) (and he said his eggs are bigger than FABERGE)But that's TMI and I don't kiss & tell ANYWAYAnd if I did I bet I'd Collide with a lawsuit like HOWIE DAYI'm so glad that I went back to WSM to SQUARE AWAYFor all that luscious Jerky that I bought from J & J WHATSo I've tried some of the famous places for jerky around the country and I have to say there is only one that has ever made any kind of an impression on me. That is right here. The spicy jerky here is worth eating and eating and eating some more - even though jerky is probably one of the very worst things that you can possibly eat, no matter what my military friends say. Even if you're not big into jerky, give the spicy jerky here a chance. It totally changed my opinion on jerky forever. I have yet to find one which is even in the same league as this.Service can be really nice or not so great and prices are pretty high but you know what? When you have the very best version of your product that is available on the market it's worth whatever you charge for it. Within reason. And these prices are just about within reason. While you're at the Market, also try a lemon & sugar crepe from the awful service spot Crepes De Luxe, and be sure to have a Brat from the wonderful Frank's Bratwurst too. These three items (along with this jerky) are the antithesis of the wurst things you can ever eat.If you love them, contact me and I'll tell you more life-changing eats in NE Ohio, that aren't in this wonderful market. And Daya would like me to rap some more about this jerky, even though she's from the Burgh (a lot of Clevelanders don't like the Burgh much).Years later I was hungrier than Hanks in CASTAWAYAnd feeling more current than Michael FARADAYSo I went to Cleveland looking for a FIANCEAnd I found Daya doing Karaoke of HIDEAWAYI told I could penetrate her deeper than a GAMMA RAYAnd she said, only if I help her get a gift for FATHER'S DAYSo I didn't miss this opportunity to LEAD ASTRAYA girl who went from "Don't Let Me Down" to being a RUNAWAYWe went to West Side Market and I said I had an MBAShe said that we could date, but not til SATURDAYAnd in the meantime, did I know the way to SAN JOSEI told her yes, but first, let's nibble on some TAKE AWAYWe had a Frank's Brat while we duetted on YESTERDAYAnd at Crepes De Luxe it gave me pleasure to UNDERPAYBut like Sit Still, Look Pretty, this rap's on OVERPLAYSo let's just get some more Jerky from J & JWHAT"
"Old fashioned meat marketIf your looking for a butcher shop that still does everything the old fashioned way this the the shop for you. It's an unassuming out of the way building. So watch for the sign when driving. Plenty of parking. Upon entering the market on the right hand side is a few freezers with food products and shelves with items to compliment your meat selection. There are no fruits or vegetables. The other side of the store has a meat counter with a variety of chicken, beef, and pork options. I got a variety of chicken, bacon and pork. The bacon was delicious. The only confusing part for first timers to the market is that they keep all your meat behind the counter until you are done selecting and then they take them all up to the register."
"Rego's has wonderful products I haven't seen elsewhere, and also some items (like Kraut) I didn't think I'd find after I left the west coast. They have very fresh produce, and the staff is very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. I feel so lucky they are right down the road from me!!"

First time here & I was very impressed with the quality of meats available in the case. This is a very interesting place to shop for food as their are also unique ethnic canned goods & pantry items available too. Bought some salami for sandwiches. Tasted it & the freshly sliced salami was delicious. Also bought some fresh cabbage rolls to cook later this weekend. The staff was helpful. Will come back here again to buy some meat & other items.

Pricing was always good. They ran out a couple items I usually get, but the overall experience was great. Kindhearted and efficient people.

We love the wedding soup meatballs from the freezer. So good sautéed in a little olive oil. We also really like the pepperoni rolls and the mini meatball rolls. My son doesn't eat cheese so I call ahead to order a few without cheese and they are always make them fresh to order.

Gosh do I love this place! If you are looking for some awesome fresh produce or some pretty tasty deli-style meat and cheese the Vermilion Farm Market is the place to go!I'll admit, from the outside the Vermilion Farm Market doesn't look all that exciting. It doesn't even look all that great when you open the doors and walk inside. That being said, the Farm Market is always my #1 choice when I need some lunch meat, affordable fresh fruits and vegetables or some chicken or steak for the grill. In addition to all of that, they also have a nice selection of bulk candy, Amish chocolates, dried fruits and veggies and a decent sized wine collection. As a gluten-free shopper I find their selection to be well-suited for those on Gluten-Free Diets as well. While they may not have an enormous selection of GF goods, for the size of the store they are well stocked. They have a nice selection of marinades, Bob's Red Mill Baking mixes, a few frozen meals, lunchmeat and rice crackers. All of their GF products are well marked and easy to spot. If you are looking for a new place to shop because you are tired of the chain stores then I highly suggest you take a drive out to the far west side and give the Vermilion Farm Market a try! The market is located about 45 minutes west of Cleveland, Ohio and on the way to Cedar Point in Sandusky. If you want to pack a picnic for your family to eat while at the amusement park than why not stop by to purchase your food on the way? They have small coolers available for purchase and bags of ice as well. What are you waiting for? Take a drive out to the Vermilion Farm Market and you will be in love!!!

It's an amazing cheese shop! It's an incredible old-fashioned candy store! It's a must-visit when you are taking a trip to Cedar Point or the Lake Erie Islands. We shopped for an hour and left with bags of candies, speciality popcorn, snacks, root beer, mustards, and a large variety of cheeses including cheese curds. My favorite is the 16 year aged cheddar! There are many vintage toys and other items on display.Employees were very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I got 4 hogs processed here, and everything turned out great. Excellent customer service, they got us in at the last second; they put us on a wait list and called us as soon as a spot opened up!

Premade foods are amazing. We had Swedish meatballs, bbq short ribs, and stuffed cabbage. All amazing. They have no carb bread that is so good and the no carb pasta is amazing too. So many choices. No complaints!

While at the Westside Market we toured all of the different vendors and trust me there were all kinds! Pastries, drinks, coffee, meats (and I mean all types of meats), gyros you name it. After looking through the entire Market we headed back here because the guys working here were so nice and very talkative. Sara ended up buying a BACON BOMB! This is a piece of meat that's made up of hamburger, Spivey Italian Sausage, diced Bell Peppers, jalapeños, onions, cream cheese than wrapped in a weaved ball of bacon. Sara can't wait to make it when we get home. This was a great place with great people!

"This is one of those cool little neighborhood joints that everybody in the neighborhood goes to. They even make their own soda. How cool is that?I guess they're known for their meats. This is a Polish neighborhood or at least it used to be and so they have a great selection of eastern European meats and sausages. Everything looks good. They have a lot of stuff Cryovac in the freezer which is super helpful. They also had Cryovac pierogies which were pretty good but not great because in my opinion the door was a little thick so they ended up being kind of dry. That's just a preference though those pierogies were mostly noodles with just a little bit of potato inside I prefer the dough a bit thinner so you get more flavor from the ingredients. They also have a decent selection of micro beers from the neighborhood. I also found sauerkraut balls! I grew up on those things when I was a kid. I love those things so much so I got six of them in Cryovac and took them home to my freezer.Clearly most of the people coming in their shop there all the time. They were militant about the Covid distancing and only let a certain number of people in at any given time. There was a deli counter and everybody was smiling while they were working. I saw some pretty good pickles too. Basically if you are looking for an Eastern European grocery store that carries basically everything you need this is the way to go. I love to give my money to the small mom and pop shops and they are going to get my business every time. In fact I got $300 of my business this time and if I didn't run out of cooler space it probably would have been more!"
"This place right here!! THE ABSOLUTE BEST donut place around!! If you are in the Norton, Barberton, Wadsworth, Copley area you have GOT to stop in, If not its also worth the drive!! I've been going here since I was a little girl. Such a cute bakery vibe & absolutely outstanding donuts & sweets. My favorite being the Maple Creamsticks!! The apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are a close second! 5 star donuts all the way!!! My husband is also a huge fan of their pulled pork meat & potato salad!!"
"Every time we visit Ashland, we visit Turk Brothers. They offer a great selection of meats, fish, house-made sausage, as well as a small selection of spices, mixes, jams and other prepackaged items. My husband and I stopped in looking for some pretty thick T-bones on a recent visit. They gladly cut them for us while we waited. We cooked them over a fire ring with some cherry wood and I will have to say these were probably the best steaks I have ever had - fresh, great flavor, thick, tender - just absolutely wonderful. We have purchased walleye fish and sausage to bring back to VA. They freeze and vacuum pack the items so they stay frozen in the cooler for the ride home and fresh in the freezer. Their hot and mild Italian sausage is delicious. Their Cajun sausage is absolutely fantastic and perfect for jambalaya. We use the walleye to make fish & chips since we prefer a firmer fish than cod. Last visit we tried their smoked sausage and we'll definitely be bringing some more of that back next trip.Their prices are probably a bit higher than some of the grocery stores around the area, but I will say Turk Brothers quality totally makes it worthwhile.I believe they also process meats - your cow or deer, they butcher. I can't speak to that, but I will say I will be visiting again next time I am in Ashland to take home some of their delicious fresh meats."
"Higher end grocery market. There are many vegan, organic, and gluten free grocery options available. They had multiple gluten free ciders and hard seltzer's but I didn't notice any gluten free beers. Wine selection is good. They had fresh cooked hot food as well as refrigerated to-go options such as sushi, salad and sandwiches. I decided to try some new to me items. I picked up some vegan and gluten free jerky, mushroom jerky, an herb infused root beer, petitpot french puddings, some freshly cooked mustard and maple salmon, as well as a watermelon juice. All were tasty. Higher prices."
"Awesome selection, quality meat, friendly, helpful staff. Philly cheesesteaks turned out great!"
"Have been coming to DW Whitaker Meats for years. Their apple bourbon bacon and wrapped pork loins are Devine. The Great Lakes brewing Christmas Ale bacon will be out in a few weeks ( a few days after Great Lakes brewing g releases their Christmas ale - gotta give the bacon time to soak)Tim always does an awesome job helping customers. Cleveland is so blessed to have the west side market and so many wonderful vendors"
"Rudy's is the real deal. Clean, nicely merchandosed frozen section and meat case. What I thought was cute was when I asked for four, 6 oz filets the lady behind the counter turned around to one of the butchers in the back, relayed my order, and out came just what I asked for. I also picked up some ground chuck. I could have bought way more. Their selection is fantastic. And I agree with other Yelpers....friendly staff. This will now be my go-to po lace since Giovanni's closed."
"I get the $25.00 5lb. box of pierogi. This is an ethnic butcher shop in the Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland. They have been here for many years. The 5lb. box has 24 pierogi in it. The pierogi are very big. They sell in grocery stores under the Janka name. If you want to experience true ethnic Cleveland before a family party get some pierogi from Krusinskis, some from Peter's Market (nearby Garfield Heights), bakery from Seven Roses (Fleet Avenue), and then go to the West Side Market."
"I usually get the candied bacon from West Side Market but was in the area and bought a pound from them yesterday. It have never had candied bacon so spicy before. It is nearly impossible for me to eat and I've had candied bacon from this place many many times. Hopefully it is just too much spice in one batch but it really wrecked nearly $17 in bacon!!"
"OK so first thing I have to say is if you plan on going here to order food to go plan on waiting about 20 or so minutes or call ahead. I did not know this and I used almost my entire lunch break waiting for food. The owner even told me after I had said I was on my lunch break in the future I should call ahead. They did feel bad that I used almost my entire lunch break waiting that they did give me some free desserts and they told me to eat my falafel while I was waiting for my other food and gave me some free tahini sauce. I wish I had known the wait was long because I was starting to get really irritated but they make the majority of their food fresh.I ordered the falafel which only comes in like a 12 piece. I kind of wish they had a smaller order. But don't think I didn't try to eat as many of those falafel is possible. It was very very good. Also I really enjoyed the tahini sauce. I tried to make my own falafel at home and it just does not work. These were made to order. I saw the guy forming my falafel before deep frying them. Delicious. I also ordered the fattoush salad - They have two different sizes and for some reason I thought I or should order the large. That was completely unnecessary I should've ordered a small I was unable to finish the one that I ordered. It comes with fresh pita chips which you can tell they're fresh because I brought them home and within a few hours they were no good. So eat them when you get them. The dressing on the salad could've had a little more flavor. I've had fattoush with more flavorful dressing from other places but it was still good. The desserts they gave me were delicious. I don't have a huge sweet tooth but they were good. Also I don't really know they were lol Overall the staff and the owner are super friendly and I would definitely return but I would absolutely 100% call ahead with my order before going there."
"While adventuring around my hometown, I stopped into the new farmers exchange market. The Keller Meats & Market is the first booth you see when you walk in, and it makes a great impression! There are smiling employees who greeted us and offered any help we needed! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!"
"They throw together solid sandwiches and they do it fast and friendly. I can't speak to their entire menu (yet), but the poorman's submarine hit that spot for me. And don't sleep on the garlic Bologna, just be warned you will be thirsty afterwards. Also not just sandwiches here, they do a variety of sausage, steaks, chicken, pork for your next cookout, not to mention roasts for any upcoming holiday meals."
"I love Miro's store! He is always so friendly and has a nice variety of European foods. His sausages are good. We have tried several and they are always tasty. We enjoy the slovenian sausage and also the smokies and other things. We have had other meats there and they always seem to be good quality. When I have friends from the former Yugoslavia in town we go there and they always get a lot of different things and that chocolate with the puffed rice in it and the spongy banana candy. Great place, and unique. That's a why I'm givin it 5 stars."
"Leon and Jan Hilty have a great thing going here in Dalton, OH. Some restaurants travel hours to get their meats, sausage and poultry. Why...because it's all from their farms. Cheese & Italian brats, ribeyes, filets, t-bones, porter house, beef patties, pork chops, chicken breast/wings, lamb, grass fed beef, "smoked" hock pig wings, and the variety of "smoked"BACON are just a few of our household favorites. Deli is also fully stocked and they will cut precisely to your liking. You must come out and stock up!"
"This little market has been in operation since 1907 and when you go inside, it still has the same throwback feel. It has a large selection of wine and spirits, food, and grocery. In addition, they have a little bakery and butcher. I bought fresh chicken legs-thighs for around 45 cents each! In addition, their fresh sirloin steak was only $7.99 a pound and it was the absolute softest steak I ever ate in my life. I was softer than hamburger patty and I could have cut it with only a butter knife. This local gem is a must visit if you are staying in town on your way to Sandusky or Port-In-Bay."
"Newly discovered gem! Old school butcher shop with great employees. I decided to attempt to make pho from scratch...(more on that later ) and needed some good beef bone for my broth base. I went to a few grocery stores and none of them had what I needed. So I searched the innanetz for help, as one does when in need, and she showed me this establishment on page 3. They have a great selection of meats and prime cuts. They also have some flintstone looking dogbones in the freezer for your good boy. Check them out! P.S. I felt like such a creep taking pictures because it was not busy and I could feel the employees eyes on me so I just snapped a few at hip level, trying to be inconspicuous."
"The BEST PLACE to get Beef and Pork at great prices!!Everyone is friendly and you are greeted as soon as you enter the building. If you want something that is not in the display, they will cut it for you freshly!! They also have an assortment of deli meats, chicken, and fish. This is the only place I buy Beef from....."
"I went to Zagreb Quality meats for the first time 2 weeks ago. They have very limited hours but it was a nice little store! There were quite a few people coming in and out and they had a variety of different Croatian and European grocery items and meats. I just got some Cevapi. The service was quick, there were two people behind the counter. Who knew! Check 'em out."
"Large selection of bagged jerkies and a few exotics like kangaroo and alligator. Helpful friendly employee. I bought a 3oz bag of the softest most juicy delicious teriyaki turkey jerky I've ever had for $8.99! Punch card reward system for every visit culminating in $10 off."
"Carnivore heaven. I grew up in Lexington, and have low expectations of local dining options. People living here adore the Olive Garden and pretty much anything that is labeled "Amish" and served in massive quantities at a buffet. This place is a category-breaker. Mary Anne's would be a fine butcher in Chicago, and probably give Paulina Meat Market a run for their money--at least as far as their beef and pork cuts. We picked up pork chops for the day-after-Thanksgiving dinner, and some bacon for breakfast the day after that. The chops were fresh, tender and juicy. The bacon is smokey, thick and almost too delicious for humble eggs. Acc. to my family, the meat is all locally raised. I wish we brought a cooler, because the steaks (at least an inch thick) and roasts were gorgeous, and the price was quite competitive compared to the big city. The store also has condiments and dessert-type goodies, most of them made in the area. The home-made "moon pies" looked positively sinful. I may come back and defile myself with one of those and a Pepsi from the vintage pop machine located next to the store. Good thing the Presbyterian church is just a half-block away."
"Small unassuming Indian grocery store in the booming tropical paradise called Mayfield Hts. After watching the super bowl, when the word GOAT is mentioned you may be thinking Greatest of All Time. Here, goat means , cabra and it is stocked on the weekends. So for all your goat needs, be it curries, pazole or just for sacrificial purposes they have you covered. Did I mention they have a small country's worth of spices, dried goods, refrigerated and and frozen vittles. Oh I am a Papadam addict and just recently learned they can be fixed in the Yankee oven. Mind blown."
"Always on the lookout for that speciality shop for special occasions. For great Italian choices, this is the place! Needed authentic Italian loaves of bread for Christmas Day dinner and heard about this gem. Checked it out and it was exactly what my wife was looking for. First, bakery was outstanding! Fresh breads, rolls, cookies, and anything you are looking for. Deli meats they cover anything you are in search of. Olives, olives, and more olives! Meal dishes ready to heat at home, they got you covered! Deserts as well! A great stop and for us Eastsiders a good spot to fill up your Italian desires!"
"They are right down the street from Boris's kosher market and have many overlapping items. Their staff is friendly and they make fresh chopped liver on Thursdays (late morning) for the best price (or maybe a dollar more than Boris's) in Cleveland! They have a lot of delicious to-go foods such as pargiyot, kugel, barbecue sauced brisket, and more. They have an extensive refrigerated meat section and lots of frozen foods ranging from kishka and multiple varieties of gefilte fish to several desserts."
