Saphace A. "My friend had been here before and loved the vibes so she suggested it for dinner. We had a reservation but they didn't seem busy as of yet for a Friday evening. We had a fantastic server! Can't remember her name but she was friendly and personable. She also let us move to another table since it was wobbly. We ordered a pitcher of the traditional mojito to share along with guacamole, then we all opted for arepas. I got La sucia (steak), while my sister got Pernil (pulled pork), and my friend got the Mexicana (chorizo with jalapeños). They also give you a handful of sauce options for the table which give a bit more spice or flavor to the arepas. The arepas come with a side so we all chose yuca fries. The arepas are pretty big and kinda heavy so I had a hard time eating all of it. We all had leftovers for the next day!Overall, I like the decor. The outdoor patio had a tiki vibe, while the inside is more modern with a motorcycle in front of a wall decorated with flowers and greenery. They also had TVs outside showing the baseball games.Tons of parallel parking nearby. But there's also a large parking lot just a bit down the street. I'd come back!"

Kat S. "I've come back here a couple of times since my previous review, including a recent visit. Friends wanted to go out for a last minute dinner, and I wanted to be able to make a reservation. Crave Cantina had openings, and booking online was easy. I was a little surprised to see how empty the restaurant was on a Saturday night at 7 pm. The bar was totally empty and maybe half of the tables were occupied. One big difference I noticed was that the drink menu was significantly reduced and a lot less interesting. However, the margarita and sangria I had were both good. We started with a large order of chips, the salsa trio, and a plain guacamole. This was outstanding. Everything tasted so fresh, and I appreciated that the salsas actually tasted different (a red smooth salsa; a chunky, black bean salsa; and a salsa verde). I was feeling pretty basic and ordered a quesadilla with steak and a side of refried beans. The quesadilla was what I wanted, the steak was tender, and it had great flavor from the chimichurri marinade. The beans were not good. They were made with meat and there were tons of stringy pieces of beef. Dry and not creamy. The quesadilla was so filling, though, that I actually didn't care.My biggest complaint this time around isn't related to anything that happened during our meal. I find it kind of off-putting that the taco menu just . . . doesn't change. While I appreciate that now you can get burritos or the aforementioned quesadilla, I wish there were more appealing choices. I'm from Louisiana and I'm just never going to order an alligator taco. Some of the combinations (like that one) seem wacky for the sake of it, and I feel that choice--while trend driven for sure--is feeling a bit dated in 2023. I will say, though, that I appreciate the amount of veg and vegan options. This most recent meal was probably the best over-all experience I've had at the cantina. Service had been an issue here before, but our server was great. The right balance of attentive but not smothering us (we enjoyed appetizers and drinks before ordering). This isn't my favorite restaurant, but we had a great experience, and that merits a new, better rating."

Jack Z. "Hole in the wall empanada place located pretty conveniently near MetroHealth main campus. This is definitely one of the best empanada places in Cleveland. You can seem them being made fresh in the back, and the staff seem like they're happy which is always a great sign. I think the traditional ones are more worth it than the open faced ones, but you can't go wrong with most things on the menu. It's more of a grab and go type place, and the food usually comes out pretty fast. Only complaint is I've noticed the serving sizes are slowly getting smaller, but that seems to be the trend everywhere. Worth a stop if you're in the area."

Lynette C. "My friend and I decided we wanted street tacos. We pulled up and it looked closed so we were like should we try? We drove past and saw people inside so we pulled up to the drive thru. We weren't able to see the signage very well so I pulled over to look at the menu online. We opted for chips and salsa, she got a chicken taco and I ordered two carnitas tacos. The salsa has a kick to it. I love spicy stuff so it was fine with me. The chicken taco had onion and lots of cilantro. The carnitas has a a mango salsa. The tacos are stuffed to the brim especially for being street tacos. I could only finish one. It was really good. We will definitely be back for tacos when the craving hits. The drive thru lady was super friendly. Also FYI the speaker for the drive thru doesn't work so just drive up to the window and they they will help you there. They also have a menu at the window if you still don't know what you want. The place itself looks hella sketch but those are always the best places. I would recommend this place. The chips taste like store bought but the salsa is good. Oh and the verde salsa bomb!!"

Dev J. "Very nice restaurant with plenty of available parking. They are a busy, so bare with them while ordering, because it will be worth it in the end. I got the Philly cheesesteak and $12 meal box. The Philly was good I would rate it 7.4/10 it was flavorful. The 12 dolla meal box was legit. The BBQ chicken was tender, juicy, with great flavor. The rice and peas were very good and the plantains are great addition to the meal. The customer service at this establishment was great, and on the other side of the restaurant they have dining."

Brittany A. "Beautiful restaurant with a lot of photo worthy elements and I was very appreciative of the server accommodating our group of 11 with such a positive and pleasant attitude. The menu and food left a lot to be desired. I'm typically not bothered by a "no substitutions" rule but the menu was already kind of limited as it was. Some of the dishes were inconsistent when they came out. My cut of salmon was very slim, almost a sliver (especially for the price), but my friend's was a much bigger square cut. The salmon also wasn't very flavorful. We all needed to ask for a hot sauce and a ranch type of sauce to help doctor it up. The bar had a limited selection of tequila but the cocktails on the menu were good!"

Blanche K. "Food/ drinks 5/5had a craving for sancocho and was pleasantly surprised to find it on Barrocos menu!! definitely hit the spot on a chilly fall September night. had a few bites of the bandeja paisa which was a huge portion and for sure a meat lovers dream. also had a caipirinha to sip on which I was also surprised to see on their menu! definitely made on the stronger side which I appreciated. Service 4/5Seated right away on a Friday night and we requested outdoor seating. However our food took eons to appear (as with the other tables around us). There were plenty of patio heaters with adjustable levels which made it cozy enough! Also string lights in Crocker park added a nice ambiance. Our server was courteous and wearing a mask the entire time. Value 4/5Super filling dinner and very satisfied. seemed a bit pricey to me given that I'm used to these dishes being in the 10-15 range in Miami."

Rodney W. "Visited Twisted Taino for the second time. We had a good experience on our first visit, so we took the fam back again. On this visit, the restaurant was warm inside - it felt like there was no air conditioning. But we didn't mind that because we were there for the food. Upon reviewing the extensive menu, we decided to request tostones as an appetizer along with some passionfruit juice. A little while later, the appetizer was delivered. My wife requested pork on it and it came with some amazing sauce. The flavor of the appetizer was amazing. The sauces were very tasty and the pork was delicious. Coupled with the saltiness and crunch of the tostones, it's a winning combination. For dinner, I requested the creole shrimp trifongo rice bowl, my son requested carne frita, my daughter requested casa birria tacos, my wife requested pastelon, and my mom requested a cubano sandwich. As we waited, more people arrived. A little while later, our food was served. We dove in like no one's business. My trifongo rice bowl was delicious. It had amazing rich flavors and I especially liked the creole shrimp flavors coupled with the tasty rice and mashed plantains. Excellent dish! My daughter's casa birria tacos and my son's carne frita were just okay. My mom's cubano sandwich was excellent. The dish that stole the show was my wife's pastelon. Wow, what amazing flavor. It's like Puerto Rican lasagna with a twist. The sweet plantain flavors were awesome.Great meal! We'll be back for more."

Marissa K. "Everything we ordered was excellent. Started with a drink. The Frontera was nice and strong. I had the beef mofongo and it came with a little salad on the side. The taste of the mofongo was delicious, it's my favorite of northeast ohio so far, and I've had a lit of it all over. The meat was good, a tiny bit dry, but still tasty. I also had a shrimp empanada. That was excellent too. It had a tasty pastry and full if shrimp.Finished the meal with a tres Leche cake. It's delicious too, and I especially loved all the cinnamon in it. It's a nice smaller size than standard and was great amount for after filling up on entrées. The waitress was fantastic. Before we even asked anything she brought out a little sample for us to try the meat. We had told them it's our first time and weren't sure if it was just carryout or if the dining room was open. It's a small dining room but it's cute with fake plants everywhere. They also have a lit of tvs on the wall.Only bad thing is the restrooms are not handicap friendly. They are very tiny and the chair won't fit. Plus no grab bars either.A nice feature is a small patio out front and they allow well behaved dogs there."

Have been constant every visit!I love the Chipotle burrito and Diablo Burrito-- sometimes I ask for a side of the Diablo sauce to add on other burritos or dip my chips in (great if you can handle the heat! ;) They also have daily specials, taco Tuesday, and drink/margarita specials. I wish more folks in the area would frequent this restaurant, I guess the location may have something to do with it. Every time we visit the restaurant is near-empty. Not sure if parking is an issue, there are multiple public lots within walking distance to park. Either way, give them a shot. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!"

I'm so glad we stayed, because our food was awesome!Their slogan is 'where the north and the south meet in your mouth' and they are living up to the hype! Fusion can be difficult to do, but this was a perfect combo. I had the choripapas- which is fantastic bratwurst crumbled over fries with nacho cheese and onions. It was easy to eat, a generous portion, and best of all- delicious. Husband loved his Gaucho burger. The staff was so friendly and upbeat. I highly recommend a visit to their food truck!"
