"Stopped here randomly on the way to somewhere else for a late lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't very busy and we got to sit right away. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had the fish and chips which was fresh cod and perfectly beer-battered and cooked. The house chips were good, but the onion dip they made was phenomenal. Cole slaw was okay. My wife has the Rueben sandwich was also amazing. And our nephew had chicken fingers which had a nice peppery batter. All good. But the best part was the Irish Cream Cake. It was a secret family recipe and I totally see why they keep it a secret. It would definitely draw me back here. Moist cake, chocolate syrup and a gooey center that was to die for! If I was ever passing through this town again, I would definitely stop here to eat again."
"Really enjoyed this place before a show at the Huntington Center. Great waitress with recommendations that actually were good. Had a Reuben and fish and chips and some fried pickles. Inside decor wasn't overly Irish but enough to call it an Irish pub. Will definitely visit when going to a Mid Hens game or at the next HC event."
"Black apocalypse for GOTL St Patrick's day bar crawl! Great authentic Irish pub with great authentic Irish music!"
"PJ McIntyres is our go-to spot in our neighborhood. They are pretty consistent with quality, service, pricing, portion. We also get take out quite often. I love their Irish Reuben egg rolls! The California sandwich is very good too. If you get the homemade chips as a side, order a side of the onion dip too- fantastic!Great menu, lots of delicious food to choose from. The ambiance is what makes this my favorite. The fireplace keeps it cozy, trivia and events keep it friendly. The bar is always bustling with new friends to meet."
"Good food. Good service. Good staff. We had a Rueben, French onion soup, fried mushrooms, Mac-n-cheese and fish & chips. All scrumptious and warming on a chilly evening. The leftovers were just as good, too."
"The people here seemed so well meaning, but the execution was terrible across the board. Both the waitress and the guy who set us up with a table were absolutely pleasant. Beyond that it was a nightmare. The service was sooooo sloooooow. It took too long for the waitress to come take our food orders after we placed a drink order. People in service should know to pick up the pace when they see small children in a party. However, even if it had been just adults, there is no excuse to keep us waiting for ten minutes. And then the food took absolutely forever, at least half an hour. During the wait, I counted only four parties totaling 14 people in the entire place. It was so frustrating. When the food arrived, half of it was wrong. My daughter ordered a kid's cheeseburger; she received a burger with no cheese. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with caesar dressing on the side; I received a caesar salad with the dressing mixed in. I didn't send it back--no time to wait! The salad was merely lettuce, dressing, and "chicken." The meat was rubbery and stale-tasting. The pretzel bites were horrid; sort of ligh-textured and vaguely sweet, but saturated with oil, they tasted more like toasted chunks of brioche bread than real soft pretzels. The "beer cheese" was mercifully flavorless. My wife's fish sandwich was bland but okay. The french fries were delicious. See, I closed on a positive note."
"Neighborhood Irish pub that I only wish was in my neighborhood. That would make it perfect, but I gave it 5 stars anyway. There were plenty of TVs in view from any seat. There was a live 5 member band playing that had a bluegrass folk type style. The volume was pleasant. You could still carry on a conversation with out yelling and the talent was enjoyable.Upon grabbing a seat at the bar we were promptly welcomed by the barkeep with a hand shake and introduction. Throughout our visit, he carried on conversation and interacted with every patron making us feel all like family even encouraging us to interact with each other. The environment was very social and welcoming. The place was clean, the pours were generous enough and the pricing spot on. The craft beer by the bottle list was extensive plus there were a few on tap along with the usuals. There was an impressive selection of flavored liquors as well as multiple distilleries represented in their selection. The menu focused on corned beef, potatoes and burgers with a couple specials on the blackboard. The food is all made from scratch. Very impressive! We tried the Irish egg rolls and one of the burgers with fresh cut fries. For bar food, it was excellent with good flavor. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen smelled and looked fresh and tasty. We had two craft beers, four rocks pours of whiskey, the egg rolls and burger with fries for $51 including tax. The value and vibe will bring us back!"
"My son and I came here for the first time this Sunday because Paul Gallagher, a great magician was going to be there for table magic. WPS didn't disappoint! The food was delicious, our server was top notch, and Paul the magician was stellar. He is scheduled for the first Sunday of the month for an hour or two. Don't miss this, you can call WPS to confirm. Kids and adults love him. I had the Irish breakfast burger with their homemade chips and dip. Very good:) My son had an Italian sandwich with the chips and dip and he loved his, too. The server concocted a delicious fruity nonalcoholic drink for me and it was perfect with my breakfast burger. The trip was worth the 30 minutes drive from my house and we're definitely going back."
"McCarthy's is a corner lot staple in downtown PC. I have been coming here with my Army friends for years when we are in the area for training at Camp Perry. They have a very large selection of adult beverages. On my most recent visit, I tried a banana flavored cider and it was delicious. My most recent meal was the shepherds pie over fries. It was a lot of food. I found it to be way too salty so I don't think I would order it again but their shepherds pie on its own is super good. The service is excellent. I have always had a good experience here even if the food isn't always top notch. I will be back again next year!"

Dark and loud. Patty melt was ok, Rueben was good. Macaroni was not good, very overcooked. Mules were very good! Not very busy during dinner time when we stopped in.

Another Cleveland living legend. Pat Campbell runs the most legit Irish Pub/American restaurant/Live music venue in town. This is NOT up for debate. There's an Irish dance studio upstairs. They've got a full selection on every damn Irish whiskey (even the good stuff) Smithwick's is a standard here. Live music every week. I've been to a Hooley or 2 here. They also show EVERY Celtic game! As well as other crowd faves like MU and Arsenal. The food is more than just American bar food. They've got some amazing twists on classic Irish fare, like the Boxty.(It is a must try) Pat's bartenders, servers, kitchen staff and bar backs are constantly hustling. Service is always friendly, quick and accurate. They never let my drink go empty.

A group of us were here for a football game and it was packed. Great place and atmosphere to watch any sporting event. We order appetizers and a pizza and neither of them disappointed us. It's a flair of bar food and a Irish mix. We will definitely be back.

The hot wings ARE what a 30-something from this area like myself would expect. They're meaty as hell and the hot sauce is what you tasted at the original Quaker Steak in Pennsylvania. I can't be mad. At all. Now, the chicken and waffles.... holy shit just buy this. I can't even write a review, taste for yourself. The prices are right and the food is great. Enjoy.

This is a great divey bar that's off the beaten path. It's in a little strip mall off a side road. The beer is really cold and the burgers are off the hook fantastic. The service is what you would expect from a high brow establishment like this.I'll be back again for cold brew and crispy fries with a double cheeseburger.

Went to see a live band and it was standing room only. We were lucky enough to get a table. Getting a server was difficult but once we did we were well taken care of. People were definitely having a good time and it was a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The main issue I had was the food was over-salted. Almost to the point where it burned. My son loved his chicken tenders and my daughter went nuts over her pasta.

"Yummy food and great ambiance! I will be back! Wine was great, and that's often not the case at a pub. Til next time!"
"You're in the West Side Market and there is food everywhere, almost literally. You have no idea what you want to eat and some of the food is raw, so you can't eat that stuff. So you walk by Reilly's Irish Bakery and there are pies and pasties and you're hungry. We talked to the woman behind the counter and asked what was the most popular. She recommended the Shepherds Pie and if I remember correctly, a Corned-Beef Pastie. The Wife got the Shepherds Pie and it was really good. It's basically a pastry shell filled with mashed potatoes and the Shepherds pie filling. I would definitely go back for that.I got the Corned-Beef Pastie and it was okay. For starters, it was pretty dry and it's a good sized pastry; approximately half of a 8-9" circle. The actual pastry was very good. For me, the filling had a little too much cheese and not enough meat.Overall, I'd definitely go back and try some of the other foods and I should have gone back for some of the sweet desserts as well. Definitely worth trying. We did notice that they use Celtic Deli Paper and complimented them on keeping up their branding/theme. The woman behind the counter told us that it was actually coincidence that they were using it as it's what their supplier provides. Just the luck of the Irish, I guess."
"STRIKE FIRST!: The food at Shawn's is not bad. It's not the best bar food in town, nor is it the worst. Suffice it to say that I've never had a bad meal here. And I will say that the burger is actually great; it tastes flame broiled...it tastes like you made it yourself on your own charcoal grill, on a cool autumn evening, in your own back yard. Also, Shawn's chicken chunks are some of the best in town: the ratio of chicken to breading is relatively high, and the dipping sauces are well made. The drinks are cheap and strong. The beer selection is never bad. In fact, it's usually good. The salads and the pizza? Again, not bad... especially the thin crust pizza.STRIKE HARD!: This isn't always the case, but the number one reason why customers get treated poorly by the waitstaff, is because they, the patrons, were rude or condescending to the waiter/waitress/bartender. For me, the service has always been prompt and friendly. I will admit, however, that one particular bartender (and you know who you, Miss Sour Britches) is usually bitchy.NO MERCY!: I checked out the input from the one-star reviews. Predictable stuff. Also predictable is that more than half of all of their reviews are 1 star. Some people are just hard to please. Also interesting is that many of their 5 star reviews were for places that have subsequently gone out of business (long before the virus came to town). Shawn's gets a lot of my business because it's predictable (extra star) and it's on my way home. It's never bad, and it's usually good. Cobra Kai never dies! Either does Shawn's Irish Tavern.5 stars!By the way, if you haven't canceled Netflix yet, and you have fond memories of The Karate Kid, you should definitely check out Cobra Kai."
"This is a cool place to gather with friends and have a nice meal and drinks. Everyone is nice and if you sit towards the back you can have a nice time and conversation."
"Came here for the first time. It was busy. There are tables, booths, and bar seating for options. Lots of tvs making every seat a good seat. I hate when one seat has a good view and the other doesn't at the same table. Our server was very kind and gave good recommendations. We shared a Rueben and the kielbasa/pierogies. Rueben was very good and not greasy. My fingers weren't left dripping. Also def recommended getting the chips. They r homemade. Will come back to try other items. We saw things going to other tables that looked good. Good beer menu as well."
"My mom and I were on our way to the aquarium when we saw this spot and wanted a small snack to hold us over until our flight back home. We stopped in and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the pierogis, fried pickle spears (ask for ranch), and the mozzarella sticks. The server was so kind and very attentive. She checked in just the right amount of time. The food was all delicious and very fresh tasting. The pickles are spears and they're beer battered, which I personally love better than a bread crumb coating. The pierogis were delicious and had the perfect amount of filling. If I'm ever back in Cleveland, I'll stop back."
"This is a pretty good spot in the heart of Kamm's Corners. The staff was very friendly and hard working. This place has a good atmosphere and seems like the crowd was mostly regulars which is cool. I stopped in to meet with some friends for the Browns home opener so this place was packed! They don't have a lot to choose from on draft but I was able to find something. They have a good sized menu and from what I here the food is really good. I didn't have anything to eat this time but I plan to try something on my next visit. One cool thing they do for Browns games is they have squares available for each game and also each game you can fill out a card for a free raffle and this game they raffled of for some Browns related prizes but at the end of the season they take all the card from every week and give away a cruise. I definitely will be stopping in again!"
"To say I hang with people who have a sense of irony is an understatement. Hence, our evening out to Loco Leprechaun, the "Irish Cantina" in Westlake (in a strip mall, obviously). My friend Bobo and I were tossing ideas of where to meet up back and forth when it popped into my head. I could barely contain my excitement before saying the words "it's both Mexican AND Irish." Stupid and amazing all at the same time. But, we were both hungry and actually wanted food we'd like. Was it a good night to let our love of all things warped guide our decisions? After some quick research I found the cantina's menu and saw it had potential. It was like this weird Mexican/Irish fusion that took all the foods you love to nibble on when you're drunk and mixed them up. One stand out: Reuben Nachos. The actual restaurant felt warehousey and sterile, not like a pub or cantina. It felt more like a storefront in a strip mall with murals of Leprechauns wearing sombreros painted by a Kent Stater busing tables over the summer. We also found little cards on all the tables telling us to "ice your friends." The slogan, accompanied by photos of hambones drinking Smirnoff Ice, had recently entered our world, but we weren't sure exactly what it meant. Luckily, fellow yelper Matt M. arrived to explain it. Basically, hambones make other hambones drink Smirnoff Ice to humiliate each other when in public. Loco Leprechaun is that sort of place. Yeah. The food is tasty and seemed fresh. While the atmosphere is void of soul, the food isn't. I dug the tacos with cabbage and the Reuben nachos."
"We literally stumbled across Hooley House, because we stayed in a hotel that was literally right next door.Tip: Weather permitting, there's a really nice outdoor seating area with a fireplace hereThe 1st time we came here, we ended up spending the evening drinking delisous cocktails, dining on tasty food, and genereally chillin' to the laid back and welcoming atmosphere. You'll find that they have a fair number of TVs inside, so you can watch pretty much any sports game while enjoying your food and drinks. The staff here is really attentive, friendly, and polite - highly recommended!"
"My first visit here was not bad but nothing to write home about. I stopped in for lunch on friday and i was the only one in there so service was great never had an empty glass and i wad able to order as soon as i made my mind up. The bar tender recommend the irish egg rolls which came out very quick, there were nicely cooked and crispy. The russian dressing was very good with the egg rolls but unfortunately the eggrolls by them self had a weird taste to them which i believe is from the fryer oil because the house chips that came with my Jameson burger had the same off flavor. The burger was actually perfectly cooked and well seasoned, just need to work on a few things and this place could be 4 or 5 stars for sure. I actually give them a 3.5 but cant do that woth yelp!"
"Popped in for a quick pub lunch on the road. An unassuming building but boy is it a divey sports bar inside. Lots of screens for watching games and lots of darkness for losing track of time. We sat at the bar an ordered off the lunch menu. I opted for a patty melt and my husband for boneless wings. The patty melt was perfectly cooked. I opted for no swiss and to add American instead and it was so ooey gooey melty. It was exactly the comfort food needed. The fries were crispy. I didn't hear a word from my husband hwile he was eating so I will take that as a sign that the chicken was good. Great dive you should check out!"
"Ate here with family on the day before Thanksgiving. Steady but not too busy. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. I had the corned beef boxty which was excellent. Everyone in our party liked their meals. I had a Jamison Black whisky and a couple Guinnesses were ordered. Great atmosphere and food. Hope to come back!"
"Delicious burger and homemade chips! Staff was all very friendly, attentive and the place was clean. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating.Even in the bathroom it smelled like cinnamon rolls! I had the bacon burger on a pretzel bun, very well seasoned, only disappointing thing was u got only 1 slice of bacon :(The chips were crispy, and tasted even better dipped in ranch! The BLT w/ egg was an awesome gooey mess that tasted delicious!! Lots of napkins needed;)The onion rings were above average and u get plenty of them ( $3 up charged)The strawberry lemonade was also yummy but needed more boos;)Overall it was delicious and I would definitely go back!"
