"McCarthy's is a corner lot staple in downtown PC. I have been coming here with my Army friends for years when we are in the area for training at Camp Perry. They have a very large selection of adult beverages. On my most recent visit, I tried a banana flavored cider and it was delicious. My most recent meal was the shepherds pie over fries. It was a lot of food. I found it to be way too salty so I don't think I would order it again but their shepherds pie on its own is super good. The service is excellent. I have always had a good experience here even if the food isn't always top notch. I will be back again next year!"
"Really enjoyed this place before a show at the Huntington Center. Great waitress with recommendations that actually were good. Had a Reuben and fish and chips and some fried pickles. Inside decor wasn't overly Irish but enough to call it an Irish pub. Will definitely visit when going to a Mid Hens game or at the next HC event."
"We literally stumbled across Hooley House, because we stayed in a hotel that was literally right next door.Tip: Weather permitting, there's a really nice outdoor seating area with a fireplace hereThe 1st time we came here, we ended up spending the evening drinking delisous cocktails, dining on tasty food, and genereally chillin' to the laid back and welcoming atmosphere. You'll find that they have a fair number of TVs inside, so you can watch pretty much any sports game while enjoying your food and drinks. The staff here is really attentive, friendly, and polite - highly recommended!"
"Popped in for a quick pub lunch on the road. An unassuming building but boy is it a divey sports bar inside. Lots of screens for watching games and lots of darkness for losing track of time. We sat at the bar an ordered off the lunch menu. I opted for a patty melt and my husband for boneless wings. The patty melt was perfectly cooked. I opted for no swiss and to add American instead and it was so ooey gooey melty. It was exactly the comfort food needed. The fries were crispy. I didn't hear a word from my husband hwile he was eating so I will take that as a sign that the chicken was good. Great dive you should check out!"

I got the fried bologna sandwich and it was amazing. Fried egg, pickled red onions, melty American cheese and house mustard. It was our servers first day and she did a good job. Classic Irish pub interior. Give them a try!

Went for the band Abby Normal. Surprised to learn I knew one of the bandmembers! Of course that meant it was a good time for the rest of the night. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them play along with seeing everyone dancing. Plus, I was in fabulous company! Super attentive server and amazing food. By the way, that was the SMALL salad in the photo. And, word to the wise. The added salmon was $13. Generous serving. Order wisely!

We did the igloos on the patio in December and they were fun! They weren't the warmest since the doors constantly opened for the servers.

The hot wings ARE what a 30-something from this area like myself would expect. They're meaty as hell and the hot sauce is what you tasted at the original Quaker Steak in Pennsylvania. I can't be mad. At all. Now, the chicken and waffles.... holy shit just buy this. I can't even write a review, taste for yourself. The prices are right and the food is great. Enjoy.

I just love the vibe of this place. I hear they have great food but I've only been late night and never had menu items. They have a full bar, good service and good prices. Seems like a local hangout but folks are friendly and welcoming. Lots of seating. Parking lot. Great time with friends. Some in out party had garlic Parmesan wings. They smelled delicious and were covered in Parmesan. Looked pretty tasty. Loaded fires also looked good. Illy ave to go back for some dinner soon. Recommend for good music and good times. Casual atmosphere. Just a drop in and have a few drinks kind of spot.

Dive bar with Irish pub food. The menu looked so good and tempted us with so many unique options! It had been years since we'd had scotch eggs and were excited to order them as it said "made fresh daily" and "while supplies last." We also got the poutine. The bar staff were very friendly. There were TVs for viewing. When the eggs came, I cut one in half and looked over at my husbands to see what appeared to be a piece of fuzz in the sausage breading on the egg on my husband's plate. I reached over to pull it out and it was a pubic or chest hair. My husband couldn't eat after that. We had those taken away and I felt bad for the girl behind the bar. She didn't know what to say. The fries were good. They had short rib. The mushroom gravy was a bit too salty for me. We had a couple drinks and left. The side exit door leads to a dark small entry room before the exterior door. It's dim and has a step down at the threshold, I twisted my ankle on the way out. Not a good night for us or the establishment. This review is difficult because this place seems to have potential. I'd love to go back but we can't. Hopefully others have a better first experience.

"The people here seemed so well meaning, but the execution was terrible across the board. Both the waitress and the guy who set us up with a table were absolutely pleasant. Beyond that it was a nightmare. The service was sooooo sloooooow. It took too long for the waitress to come take our food orders after we placed a drink order. People in service should know to pick up the pace when they see small children in a party. However, even if it had been just adults, there is no excuse to keep us waiting for ten minutes. And then the food took absolutely forever, at least half an hour. During the wait, I counted only four parties totaling 14 people in the entire place. It was so frustrating. When the food arrived, half of it was wrong. My daughter ordered a kid's cheeseburger; she received a burger with no cheese. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with caesar dressing on the side; I received a caesar salad with the dressing mixed in. I didn't send it back--no time to wait! The salad was merely lettuce, dressing, and "chicken." The meat was rubbery and stale-tasting. The pretzel bites were horrid; sort of ligh-textured and vaguely sweet, but saturated with oil, they tasted more like toasted chunks of brioche bread than real soft pretzels. The "beer cheese" was mercifully flavorless. My wife's fish sandwich was bland but okay. The french fries were delicious. See, I closed on a positive note."
"To say I hang with people who have a sense of irony is an understatement. Hence, our evening out to Loco Leprechaun, the "Irish Cantina" in Westlake (in a strip mall, obviously). My friend Bobo and I were tossing ideas of where to meet up back and forth when it popped into my head. I could barely contain my excitement before saying the words "it's both Mexican AND Irish." Stupid and amazing all at the same time. But, we were both hungry and actually wanted food we'd like. Was it a good night to let our love of all things warped guide our decisions? After some quick research I found the cantina's menu and saw it had potential. It was like this weird Mexican/Irish fusion that took all the foods you love to nibble on when you're drunk and mixed them up. One stand out: Reuben Nachos. The actual restaurant felt warehousey and sterile, not like a pub or cantina. It felt more like a storefront in a strip mall with murals of Leprechauns wearing sombreros painted by a Kent Stater busing tables over the summer. We also found little cards on all the tables telling us to "ice your friends." The slogan, accompanied by photos of hambones drinking Smirnoff Ice, had recently entered our world, but we weren't sure exactly what it meant. Luckily, fellow yelper Matt M. arrived to explain it. Basically, hambones make other hambones drink Smirnoff Ice to humiliate each other when in public. Loco Leprechaun is that sort of place. Yeah. The food is tasty and seemed fresh. While the atmosphere is void of soul, the food isn't. I dug the tacos with cabbage and the Reuben nachos."
"My first visit here was not bad but nothing to write home about. I stopped in for lunch on friday and i was the only one in there so service was great never had an empty glass and i wad able to order as soon as i made my mind up. The bar tender recommend the irish egg rolls which came out very quick, there were nicely cooked and crispy. The russian dressing was very good with the egg rolls but unfortunately the eggrolls by them self had a weird taste to them which i believe is from the fryer oil because the house chips that came with my Jameson burger had the same off flavor. The burger was actually perfectly cooked and well seasoned, just need to work on a few things and this place could be 4 or 5 stars for sure. I actually give them a 3.5 but cant do that woth yelp!"
