"Cute small diner next to Harbor Freight Tools offers a classic daily special menu including the iconic Friday all you can eat Fish and Chips. We have been there a couple of times now and the dinner service is rather frantic. The food has been a little too salty and a bit too greasy to call great... but it's a nice place to stop when you need specialty items next door."
"Everything about this place was great. We had a rather large group, and they accommodated us easily on a Sunday morning. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The food came fast and was delicious. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the homefries were not what i was expecting. I tend to like the diced skillet fried potatoes, and these were slices, but still pretty good. We will be back next time we are in town."
"Was going to stop at McDonald's but I'm sooo glad I didn't. The burger I got was outstanding."
"We loved it!!Fun restaurant for any ageCounter service, diner type menu and fair pricesThe burgers were top notch. Cravable and would stop back againWe loved the fries, plenty to share one order with two peoplePoppers too!Very friendly service"
"1 star per Yelp = "Eek! Methinks not" This place is a dump! Thinking back I wish I had taken more pictures of the place to show just how dumpy this place really is. It's located in a strip mall right by a major intersection which makes it nearly impossible to get in and out of.Walking up to the building I was rather skeptical, but the previous reviewers seemed to think this place was amazing. After having eating here I have to seriously disagree with them.Maybe this really is the best that this town has to offer, but from an out-of-towners perspective this place needs an overhaul of the food, service and the building. The name of the restaurant suggests to me that they pride themselves on their coney dog. We came here with the intention of getting coney dogs. There was only 1 server for the whole floor. Keep in mind there was only about 20 tables but that was way more than she could handle. Nearly every table was dirty and the ones that were clean still looked and felt dirty when we sat down. She stopped by and mentioned that they were busy and that she would be by soon, which turned into more than a few minutes.Daily special2 Coney Dogs, fries and pop $6.99We ordered 2 of the specials and a few moments later our food arrived. Our server only came back once to drop off the check. The food was horrible, I could barely eat my food. The fries were room temperature, soft, and the insides were mushy. The coney dogs were terrible. The onion was cut way to big and there was way too much, the coney sauce was flavorless and the buns were awful. I left hungry as I couldn't finish my meal.Bathrooms -I thought the dining room was a mess, until I visited the bathroom. I couldn't open the door completely as there was a bicycle behind the door. What?!? I almost knocked it over trying to get into the bathroom. The bathroom looked more like a storage closet than a bathroom. It was very dirty in there which made me wonder, if they can't keep the bathroom clean what else are they not cleaning?Over all this is not a place I would recommend to my fellow Yelpers."
"We stopped by to experience the Christmas pop up restaurant, Blitzen's. Absolutely amazing decorations!!! They did such a great job decorating and making it feel like the ultimate Christmas stop. Liked the holiday inspired beverage menu. A little pricey but cute drinks. I got the Frosty's Toddy, which was pretty good. Ordered the pot stickers and a side salad with homemade vinaigrette. Very good. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich which was really messy, but he said it was good too. We snapped some holiday pics together and even saw Santa in the entryway. Highly suggest a stop to get in the Christmas spirit."
"Nice little spot in Chardon that had been here for years. Ambiance was great. A nice fire going in the fireplace. Ample seating with space. Our server was great. Very attentive and friendly. Good was good. I ordered the fish and chips special for a Friday. It was good. I feel the fish needed a little more flavor. It would have been very good if it were beer battered. The fries were hot and crispy. Overall the meal and experience were good!"
"Looking at how the parking and building looked I wasn't expecting too much. Over all it was fairly decent. It has a Roseies, Chris, Sugar creek vibe. Walk in seated promptly, nice wait staff. Orange juice good. Coffee was my friends go to. They drank 2 cups so can't be bad. I had the hillbilly breakfast. It was huge (see picture) and was about 7 dollars. Not bad at all. Delicious. My only complaint was the bacon. I like cooked but soft and the bacon came out extra crispy. No big... but no good either. I plan on trying again with my mom when she comes to town."
"Great food and service with a fair price right in the neighborhood. I'll be back. The only thing I'd like to see would be more craft beers on the menu. Oh well, I'll just drink wine!"
"Susies is a no-frills diner located in one of the main plazas in Vermilion. My family placed a breakfast order for pick-up while in the area. It was hard to find an accurate menu online, and note the ones on social media are not current.Since we didn't stay and dine-in, we didn't get the full impression of this quaint spot. I ordered the western omelet with home fries and a side of fruit. It was exactly what I expected! A nothing fancy omelet but hit the spot for breakfast, and the value is tremendous, especially since breakfast joints can typically be overpriced. Highly recommend getting a side of fruit - loved the huge watermelon slice in it.Also: Susie is a real person! I didn't meet her when I went, but the gal working was very nice. We will come back and try more items from their breakfast and lunch menus in the future!"
"I've never had abasted egg. Never even heardof it. Somewhere in betweensunny side up and poached;a delectable yolk sauce. Surprise! 2 huge pancakes, real blueberries. Apparently cinnamon roll pancakesare always on deck, thank goodness. They remind me of being at my grandparents annual anniversary gathering,at the Crescent Beach Hotel, a memorablebrunch to be sure. It coincided with Easterso there was always a terrifying bunny afoot. They had this similar tasting pastry that I looked forward to with a Christmas Eve-type fervor. Soothing to find that flavor again, memories of always over eating andnever regretting it. A real down-home, 'forty years at Swagelok'kind of place, families knowingfamilies. I'm not from Ohio but Kleifeld'smade me feel like I was in all the best ways. I brought my own maple syrup, no offense, just a breakfast requirement of mine. You will leave this place with a box or leaveoverfed, stuffed with twinkles in your eyes. The jukeboxes on the counter aren't functional, but we all already knew this. It's the sentiment. This time, my third time eating here, working on this review. Should I get pancakesagain? The tantalizing basted egg? It's your birthday breakfast, a Monday,I'm on vacation, a wedding in NYC this weekend. My very close aunt died this morning, but I will not tell you until later, in bed,the safety of comfort. Just like this diner, the safety of the cinnamon roll pancakeshared amongst friends and quintessential diner coffee. No TV's, no music, no distractionsfrom love and sustenance. You touch my leg, I want to break down andweep about losing Deb, but I refuse to jaryour special day. Our breakfast needn't a reminder that this is all our fate, succumbing to disease and old age before we finish the things we started. Take care to enjoy every bite."
"Amazing menu. So many choices. Friendly staff. Use the back parking lot. Entrance in behind. Seems to be popular with locals. Always a good sign"

Have always wanted to try out the Coventry diner and decided with coworker to give it a try. The diner was packed and the service was fast and friendly and delicious. Everyone there seems to be regulars so we knew the food would be good. Coworker chose the Cobb salad and asked for no cheese and came put fresh and nice size bowl with warm garlic bread. I ordered cheese omelette and have 3 choices of cheese. Served with fried potatoes and choice of bread. Would recommend this place for breakfast.. served all day or lunch

Checked this diner out, this past Sunday, well in town visiting my late adopted grandma Ann, daughter in law. She suggested we stop there as the food was excellent. The atmosphere and vive were your retro, back in time that diners bring. The service was fast, and food was excellent. Their was even metal artwork on the wall, red & white checkered pattern, and menu items, had the 60s theme. Highly recommend this local business, if your looking for some place different, and I look forward next time, I'm in town getting one of their milkshakes. What's a visit to a diner, without a milkshake???

Not sure if I enjoyed the Buckeye atmosphere or foos. I had the Lake Erie Perch no bread & it was 3 large pieces. Very good. Would stop again. Plus you can see the world's largest bobble head.

Just went a couple of times to Hudson's transformed into Blitzen's for the Christmas season. So very fun and great cocktail menu. If you don't have a good time when you go during this season --- You may be a Grinch!!! Enjoy!

We were extremely pleased with the ambiance, wonderful food choices and the delightfully fast and thoughtful service at The Lodge at Bass Lake. As it was a fine summer evening, we opted to sit on the patio which is large and includes an outdoor bar. While my Favorite Companion opted for the short ribs, I took a ride on the wild side and ordered prime rib for the first time in many years. It was not a mistake. Both meals arrived promptly and were cooked exactly as ordered and delicious. Their chef obviously knows meat and loves to prepare it; I had to take half of my prime rib to-go. Thumbs up and five stars energetically given. This is a class place!

"This is the quintessential breakfast place that I'm drawn to when I'm on the road. This one has a handful of seasoned waitresses doting on you as you consider the way you want your eggs and potatoes. Having a mom named Shirley, I took her there and the snapped a photo of her when they found out. She is now featured on their wall of Shirley's. Great food, great prices, and a warm homey atmosphere."
"I haven't reviewed square bistro in a while but I figure it's time to do so. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the brand new wood floor. Real hardwood mind you not click level flooring which is pretty bold. Looks nice warm some place up a bit visually. My wife and I had a reservation for 7:45 and our table was ready when we got there so that's a bonus. My wife got one of the drink specials that they had some sort of summery fruity Martini thing. I chose my Maker's Mark and diet. The main reason we go to square is because my wife loves to have sushi and I am not a fish guy at all however this place seems to be changing my mind.We started out with the crab tots which are tater tots with minced crab in it. I did learn that for some of their crab dishes they use crab with a k crab stick but in here it's specifically said it was crab with a c actual lump crab. I'm not a crustacean eater but lo and behold it was really good. The appetizer came with three crab tots I only wish that they were fried a little bit longer as they were kind of mushy inside. It came with a mayonnaise base dipping sauce which was spicy and spectacular.I ended up getting the Korean barbecue roll which was spicy AF. Maybe it had something to do with the pickled jalapenos on top but I also had some very hot spicy sauce in it which I freaking loved. My wife ended up getting the Chardon roll which she equally adored. Overall it was nice and quiet and we give it five stars."
"Our first time at MIDWAY OH-BOY RESTAURANT. My husband and I give this restaurant a strong 4 stars for a diner. This restaurant has been around for 70 years, it felt like walking into yesteryear. They were accommodating to our needs and that OH-BOY SAUCE was sure yummy. We will definitely be back."
"I love this place! The food is great, service is great, friendly, fast... it's diner food but always really good!"
"Good dinner atmosphere with good food. Super courteous service to go along with it all. Plus I could order lunch in the early morning!"
"It's all good, got a huge breakfast for a great price, awesome home fries, friendly, ample parking"
"First time here, long time admirer. Was having work done on our car nearby, so my wife and I popped in to have a breakfast while we waited for things to wrap up down the street. It is located in a very nondescript street-side strip of shops that you'd probably drive (or walk) right by without noticing...but don't!!!This is truly a Mom & Pop run shop...the same family that started the spot some 38 years ago are still hard at work both in the kitchen and in the front of the house. The place has an old-school vibe (because it is) with its scant set of booths and tables along with around a dozen countertop stools where single diners can order and eat. And please remember (in the spirit of older establishments) that they are CASH ONLY!We each ordered a coffee, which kept flowing without any prompting, and when we desired to switch over to decaf a new pot got a-brewing right away. Tasty stuff! In order to try more than one dish of the same thing, she ordered a Greek omelette with home fries, wheat toast and I got a standard egg breakfast plate over medium with bacon and pancakes. They were nice enough to "split" the toast between one wheat and one rye to satisfy our different tastes.Everything was solid, just as you'd expect from this type of restaurant...served hot and fresh off Dad's spatula! Wanted to also comment on the pancakes, they were both quite large and super-fluffy making for a very hearty breakfast.Kinda sad it took us so long to give this family-run restaurant a try, but am certain we'll be back!"
"Such a cute unique place! So many different foodies I would love to try, however, it's just a stop on the way to Sandusky for us! Make sure you go in the bathroom l, wish I could see the mens! I had the cake batter chocolate fudge buttercream shake and it was pretty good. My hubby cinnibunny he would get it again, definitely different. We tied the chu somethign sandwich and it tasted a lot like a bunch of sides out together but was pretty good, you need a fork and knife to eat it.The tot kegs were different, good to try once, wish they were a little less raw inside but good still. Cheese curds were nice and airy."
"Addy's is a great breakfast spot in the downtown area. They serve a traditional breakfast at a reasonable price. It's tucked inside a shopping area so you can't see it from the street. Enter when you see the 5th Street Arcade entrance. At Addy's you can sit at the counter or find a table. The wait staff was friendly and my order was served quickly."
"This is definitely the area's best kept secret with great food and great prices. Their 4 oz. steak and egg breakfast is awesome and rivals steaks at the higher price steakhouses in Summit County. Only open for breakfast and lunch, it is definitely worth the trip to come here!"
"Authentic diner. Convenient location. Very reasonable prices. Don't overlook the specials. Limited hours but worth making a trip to experience the amazing food. Skip the chains, this is the real deal!"
"This is our go to place for breakfast/lunch and an occasional dinner. Food is excellent across the board and service is also excellent. We've been going there since they opened. Give it a try you won't be disappointed."
"QUICK REVIEW -- Simple and delicious diner food. HUGE inside with plenty of room to sit including sitting at the counter. Quantity is average and similar to most diners (not too much and not too little food). The server Cindy was really nice and attentive (5/5 for Cindy). I first visited in April 2023 and then I visited again in July 2023, both times for breakfast. I've had their orange juice, french toast, omelets, tried their pancakes, eggs, and bacon combo (George's super special at $7.95). Their french toast is my favourite item on their menu and it is topped with powdered sugar.I certainly will be back as this is one of the most affordable restaurants in Cleveland that I've been to and it's very decent food. I recommend this local and small business.****- 83/150 total reviews in 2023- 634 total overall Yelp reviews- Reviewed on 9 November 2023"
"Food -A+Service-A+Atmosphere-A+This is a must try place !!!!!go for breakfast lunch or dinner u will love it"
"Phenomenal. Pipping hot deliciousness! If there's not a table, give it a moment. The tables turn quickly. This is the quintessential DINNER that we are in constant search of finding."
"Alright so here is the deal... I've been searching for the best service around town, and I found exactly that at frogtown johnnies. Carmen and Bob were by far the best waiter & waitress their. Carmen makes the most excellent popcorn while Bob serves the best alcohol. Thank you will be back"
"Amsden House has been a staple in the area for YEARS! It's been around since before I was. Used to frequent this place as a kid and it's just as good today as it was so many years ago. It's truly small town USA. It's nothing fancy but it's a homey feeling. The food is delicious and you won't leave hungry. Service is always quick and friendly how you would expect in a small town. Definitely worth checking out and supporting a small locally owned business."
"Excellent breakfast and service, highly recommend this place friendly staff and good home cooking."
"My wife and I came here and really enjoyed our experience. The place was quiet, simple and the food really seemed to hit the spot. The service was good. There was nothing flashy or gimmicky about the place, just peaceful. My wife and I have returned several times for lunch and our experience is fairly consistant. (Star breakdown +1.25 food, +1.25 Service, +1.25 Environment, +1.25 value)"
"Went there the day before Thanksgiving for breakfast and understandably so, it was packed. Service initially was great and our orders were taking quickly. No exaggeration, it was 45 minutes before the waitress returned to our table to tell us the computer system had crashed and she had to retake our orders. She was super friendly and apologetic, and after that our orders arrived to the table very quickly. Food was excellent and it's a cute atmosphere in a nice part of town, but I'd be hesitant to go here over several other great, local brunch places given the service. You can definitely get just as good of food and ambience elsewhere in town."
"Great place for breakfast. Super friendly staff with classic diner dishes. Loved the family, small business vibe here. We'll definitely be back!"
"My new favorite place to eat out! Excellent food and great service. Affordable great food."
"Great food and friendly staff. We discovered this little diner a few months ago and could not believe we didn't try it sooner. One of our go to breakfast spots now."
