"Best West side diner. The place actually is an old style diner complete with round stools at the counter and lots of 50's memorabilia decorating the walls. Checkered linoleum floors! Specials each day. Breakfast to burgers it's all delicious. I had the corned beef quesadilla. Tender juicy corned beef and sauerkraut with Swiss cheese and egg sandwiched between a grilled tortilla. Yum. Served with Chipotle Mayo or Thousand Island. Fountain drinks. The real standout here is the fantastic service. Not stressed just really friendly, efficient and attentive. We stayed a bit when we were done eating and chatted with the servers. Truly nice folks. Plenty of parking. Loved all the art of old time stars. Good prices. We will be back."
"Very unassuming from the road but don't drive by! You'll step back in time a bit complete with a rotary landline on the counter that was continually in use with to go orders. Small busy place but if you have to wait it's well worth it. The servers were incredibly nice and the food was outstanding and very large portions. I love a good breakfast and this delivered beyond my expectations! Can't wait to go back!"
"Food -A+Service-A+Atmosphere-A+This is a must try place !!!!!go for breakfast lunch or dinner u will love it"
"Very flavorful authentic Indian dishes; such a great alternative with Ch--lah being catty-corner across Chagrin. I loved their lamb curry dish and their samosas could be a stand alone meal with some veggies. I've also had a shrimp dish from here that was filling and even better the next day. You'll be pleased."
"Ohio does not play with it comes to polish food and this spot did not disappoint- tiny place like- lives up to its name for sure- sweet service, very friendly faces- good prices and best of all- BEST POLISH FOOD. Portions- out of this world, variety, come on- wow. They don't offer seating, so do what we did and have a polish picnic in the park- grab extra napkins because you are going to be salivating before you get to the park- spot on! The pierogis, sausage, cabbage roll, beans and butter roll were all part of the tour of Poland- everything you could ever want.My friend got the BLT- "bestBLT I've ever had" goOn already- get you some food from the Little Polish Diner-"
"Great classic dinor with delicious big portions and huge pancakes We sat at the swivel stool bar and it was so fun"
"CHARMING 24/7 LOCAL DELIGHT! The following review is long overdue. I LOVE this late night spot, it's a lifesaver and I hope the rest of Cleveland follows suit and starts changing their business hours to 24/7. My Friends has excellent sandwiches and burgers. I even went for breakfast on back to back days and everything was amazing. The restaurant is calm, not too crazy. There's a bakery and deli, everything looked tasty and moist. The wait staff had a good attitude and the general ambiance was good. There's plenty of seating, both booths and tables, it's cozy. I love the East Coast vibes here, the building is cool, right out of a movie where the main characters hang out lol. Idk I just really like this place and I'll recommend it to all of my Yelp buddies."
"Great food , fast service, clean place , large menu ,highly recommended & great Sunday Bloody Mary bar !!!"
"Our first time at MIDWAY OH-BOY RESTAURANT. My husband and I give this restaurant a strong 4 stars for a diner. This restaurant has been around for 70 years, it felt like walking into yesteryear. They were accommodating to our needs and that OH-BOY SAUCE was sure yummy. We will definitely be back."
"We stopped by to experience the Christmas pop up restaurant, Blitzen's. Absolutely amazing decorations!!! They did such a great job decorating and making it feel like the ultimate Christmas stop. Liked the holiday inspired beverage menu. A little pricey but cute drinks. I got the Frosty's Toddy, which was pretty good. Ordered the pot stickers and a side salad with homemade vinaigrette. Very good. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich which was really messy, but he said it was good too. We snapped some holiday pics together and even saw Santa in the entryway. Highly suggest a stop to get in the Christmas spirit."
"We eat here monthly because it's good old fashioned food at reasonable prices. Last night was breakfast for dinner & chicken fried steak. Both great. Hubby took half of his home for lunch today. They now change an extra $1 if you use credit card. There's also now a check out fee ($1.11 on $23 tab). I asked lady at register about it & was told they got a new computer system. She thanked me for not yelling at her about it. In my opinion this is capital improvement. I don't have the option of not checking out to avoid the fee. What's this world coming to? What's next, a new chair fee when new booths are purchased (which this establishment needs)? How about a cooking fee when a new stove is purchased to cook the food? I'm officially a crotchety old woman now."
"I love this place! The food is great, service is great, friendly, fast... it's diner food but always really good!"

Southside is the quintessential, small town spot that makes diners so amazing! There's probably no more than 20 or 25 seats in the place, a small counter mainly for cashing out and an open kitchen. Our waitress was nice and took our orders pretty quickly. A friend and I split the chocolate chip waffle to start. This was a seriously good waffle. The batter was tasty with vanilla and a little cinnamon flavor and the waffle was soft. I got two potatoe pancakes which came with eggs and sausage. The potato pancakes were fine. They were creamy and had green onions inside. They were a little too soft for my liking. I was grateful they had turkey sausage patties. My friend for the gyro potatoe skillet. The lamb was shaved and a little overcooked. The potatoes and veggies in the skillet were well seasoned which really elevated the dish. Great diner and I'm happy I finally got to try to place.

My friend and I were craving a Sunday morning brunch. However we had a dog with us. After searching for a pet friendly patio we decided to try Mary's Diner. My friend and I were the only people on the patio during our visit. So I was a little worried we might be neglected by our server. Thankfully that was not the case. our server checked on us frequently. For breakfast I ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes, sausage and hot chocolate. The pancakes were huge! I found the pancakes a little bland in the bites that didn't have blueberries. The pancaked needed about twice as many blueberries. Also the hot chocolate was very tasty especially with the thick whipped cream topping. Overall I was happy with my meal and experience. Not to mention the prices were really good.

Taste of Kerala has been in my monthly lunch for quite some time now and it is always delicious. The food is always great and served in a timely manner. This trip I decided to have the samosa to start and the butter chicken and naan as the main course. For those who like some spice they will certainly spice up the dish for you. Always a quick, easy and delicious stop.

A quaint little place in Parma's Little Poland neighborhood, this diner is simply about the food. It is no frills, no thrills, delicious Polish/eastern European food. I've had Pierogis and Paprikash there and both were authentic and delicious.

Ran across this QUAINT little diner on a 60th birthday/girls road trip. Loved every aspect of this place - the charm of the old train style building, the deliciously grilled food or the charming local teacher working the outdoor seating area. Our favorite stop of our entire cross country drive!

I am absolutely obsessed with their desserts. Their cookies are absolutely massive, they are fresh baked everyday and change in flavor periodically. They also have amazing cheesecakes I like the pistachio and baklava assortment. As for other food the chicken tenders are good and I think their honey mustard is homemade and it makes all the difference. I call ahead and pick up every-time and it's always ready when i get there.

Get Natalie! She is a sweetheart. Had the biscuits and gravy. It was good. But not hitting it for me. A bit too much pepper and the biscuits did not taste homemade. Now the pancakes!!! Just order 2. They are big flaky and YUM!!

"This is our go to place for breakfast/lunch and an occasional dinner. Food is excellent across the board and service is also excellent. We've been going there since they opened. Give it a try you won't be disappointed."
"I was in the area this morning, waiting to get some work done on my car, and heard a diner was nearby with good food.In my opinion, diner breakfasts typically go one of two ways. 1) Super plain food, dingy atmosphere, and staff that aren't very happy to be serving or in a hustle to get anything for anyone. Or 2) which is the rare, friendly, and attentive staff who is hustling to get food out hot and timely while still maintaining cleanliness. JT's fits the latter role. It has a great ambiance with lighting and just the right volume on the radio. Super clean. Friendly staff. And delicious food! This is the first diner where the chicken was crispy without being dry, and the coleslaw wasn't some premade sloppy-as-hell-shit with no flavor. My wife's hash browns were cooked perfectly, as crispy as they should be.I would highly recommend this placeto anyone. Heads up about the owner, Teena...She is loud, and talks to customers in a way that some reviewers have complained is aggressive, inappropriate, and rude.Anyone who doesn't have a stick up their ass will see that this is just her playing around and standing up to make herself her brand. That's called marketing folks. Making yourself known through customers discussing you establishes your brand and draws business. So, get your panties out of a bunch and enjoy the place!!"
"This vintage neighborhood gem has been a fixture on Larchmere for over 25 years and continues to serve great food at reasonable prices. I stopped in just after 0700 on a cold Sunday morning and was immediately greeted by a lovely young lady named Benita who smiled and told me to sit wherever I liked. I chose a booth facing the entrance. The classic retro interior takes you back in time, with drop tin ceiling tiles and a four-stool counter - it captures the essence of a bygone era. The menus are already placed on the table and offer a plethora of appetizing dishes from eggs to omlettes and pancakes to waffles. I got coffee and the #8 without meat: two eggs and a chocolate chip pancake. I'm usually fairly critical with respect to coffee because and normally never order it from a restaurant; however, the brew here was quite good! After roughly 10 minutes my breakfast arrived. The pancake was sizable and satisfyingly delcious treat loaded with chocolate morsels! The eggs were cooked perfect and seasoned just right. At Big Al's, you get quality and generous portions wrapped in a layer of great service. What more could you ask for?"
"Best hashbrowns I've ever had! Friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Coffe was good. No complaints! Loved it. Looking forward to coming back to try the cabbage rolls!"
"I've never had abasted egg. Never even heardof it. Somewhere in betweensunny side up and poached;a delectable yolk sauce. Surprise! 2 huge pancakes, real blueberries. Apparently cinnamon roll pancakesare always on deck, thank goodness. They remind me of being at my grandparents annual anniversary gathering,at the Crescent Beach Hotel, a memorablebrunch to be sure. It coincided with Easterso there was always a terrifying bunny afoot. They had this similar tasting pastry that I looked forward to with a Christmas Eve-type fervor. Soothing to find that flavor again, memories of always over eating andnever regretting it. A real down-home, 'forty years at Swagelok'kind of place, families knowingfamilies. I'm not from Ohio but Kleifeld'smade me feel like I was in all the best ways. I brought my own maple syrup, no offense, just a breakfast requirement of mine. You will leave this place with a box or leaveoverfed, stuffed with twinkles in your eyes. The jukeboxes on the counter aren't functional, but we all already knew this. It's the sentiment. This time, my third time eating here, working on this review. Should I get pancakesagain? The tantalizing basted egg? It's your birthday breakfast, a Monday,I'm on vacation, a wedding in NYC this weekend. My very close aunt died this morning, but I will not tell you until later, in bed,the safety of comfort. Just like this diner, the safety of the cinnamon roll pancakeshared amongst friends and quintessential diner coffee. No TV's, no music, no distractionsfrom love and sustenance. You touch my leg, I want to break down andweep about losing Deb, but I refuse to jaryour special day. Our breakfast needn't a reminder that this is all our fate, succumbing to disease and old age before we finish the things we started. Take care to enjoy every bite."
"Sweet little spot. I keep seeing it and kept meaning to stop here and then I finally did the other day. It is very reasonably priced and the service is attentive. i Had the hash, which was delicious, as well as a constantly filled cup of coffee."
"Loved this popular place! Had eggs, thick sourdough toast and their sausage. All amazing! The waitress was very kind, she made great recommendations!I recommend if you're in the area. Also, be prepared to wait a bit. We waited 15 minutes. Was worth it!"
"I've been a regular at this restaurant for years now. I've since moved an hour away but stop by when I'm in town. Not much has changed. They still serve top notch food with excellent service. The owner even remembered me after all these years. If it's not broken don't fix it. I brought 2 friends with me for their first visit recently. It was a Sunday and it was packed with the after church crowd, but we were seated promptly. We ordered the patty melt, blue chicken sandwich and bacon, egg & cheese croissant. Everything arrived fresh, hot and timely despite it being so busy.If you're in the Aurora area, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. I've never had a problem in 10 years of going there! I can't wrap my head around WHY so many people bad mouth this place. It's a family-owned deli. It's not snooty or pretentious. It's good, honest homestyle food. They serve breakfast all day. And I believe they still have the best ayce fish fry Friday during lent in northeast Ohio! With that said, if you want a gourmet 5 star experience, keep on trucking a little further down Rt. 43 and don't choke on your silver spoon. You're welcome."
"I'm so glad we finally got here. We really liked Retro-Dog and were sad when it closed. But, Doodles has made us really happy. The food is amazing. Burgers are gourmet and HUGE!!! The chili and chili dogs did not disappoint either. Salt and pepper fries on the side were golden and perfect. My son and his friends said the root beer floats and shakes were top notch! The wife agrees with them. Another cool thing, every table has colored pencils and paper. They frame and hang customer art. So, I drew them a Corgi."
"Great service, breakfast was plentiful and prices are reasonable. We ate a great breakfast with coffee for two and we were at $18.49. There are other breakfast choices that would have made that even less."
"Fact 1: Green Lantern has been in business for almost 100 years. Fact 2: I've been eating here for more DECADES than I care to remember. Fact 3: If GL wasn't fantastic, neither fact 1, or fact 2, would be true. Here's the dealio: The. Food. Is. Excellent. Yes, it's simple diner food, but it's always done right. From the omelets and breakfast sandwiches, to the milkshakes and homemade soups/chili, to the HANDY ANDY (best double cheeseburger in SoTol if not the entire city...check out the pictures). I've never had anything that wasn't delish. GL has been under new ownership for about 3 years, and the menu has changed a little, and the prices (like the prices everywhere else) have gone up. But what hasn't changed is the quality of the food. Also, even though the prices are higher, the value relative to other restaurants, hasn't changed...not one iota. The service is always fast and, for me, has always been friendly. The atmosphere? Well, let's just say it fits nicely into the South Side.GL is closed on Sunday and Monday, but they now open until 8pm on the other days. This is a good thing. AND STILL, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, FIVE STARS!"
"Friendly service diner atmosphere good food. A great place to go Sunday morning. They're never pushy and food is always good."
"So I came here as I needed a quick lunch close by while in town on business. I've heard Joe's has good food by my coworkers, so I thought I'll give it a shot seeing I didn't want to stray far away. Upon getting here I was helped reasonably fast. So I placed my order and had a seat. That's where this experience turns around quickly. I waited nearly 40 minutes for a Gyro and chips. Thankfully I had an hour for lunch but if not, I would have left hungry, after wasting my lunch time on food that would take longer than a steakhouse would need to cook a steak and me eat it....... The Gyro was alright, for the wait alone it should have been free of charge."
"Was going to stop at McDonald's but I'm sooo glad I didn't. The burger I got was outstanding."
"This turned out to be a great stop! We were simply just looking for a place to enjoy a good brunch on the way from Cleveland back to Cincinnati. We got off the freeway and after and after about a miles drive, we came upon this little gem. It's very old fashioned and everyone was extremely friendly. It very much took us back to the way things were back in the day! I thoroughly enjoyed their Mexican skillet that had all of the good flavorings. It needed a bit of hot sauce though but that's because I like things very spicy. My boyfriend had their breakfast of champions and as you can see from the picture, he got everything he wanted. Everything tasted really good and the service was great. Definitely five stars and definitely glad to support a local, non-chain business for the first time in a while!"
"The best Breakfast I've had in years...Wonderful service, wonderful food, and a great atmosphere. Plenty of room when the place gets busy. Highly recommend the pancakes. I can't imagine anyone having a poor dining experience in this establishment. My work mates and I were in town for storm restoration and kept coming back over and over!BRAVO to the management and staff !"
"Got tomato feta onion omelet tonight. Toast was hard and dry. Potatoes were nicely cooked and moist, made more palatable with the added ketchup and butter in the bag. Omelet was nothing amazing but I just wanted some eggs so it hit the spot."
"Good dinner atmosphere with good food. Super courteous service to go along with it all. Plus I could order lunch in the early morning!"
"We had a great breakfast. The place is spotless and the servers were friendly. The old Aluminum dinning car was fun. We would recommend!"
"Went there the day before Thanksgiving for breakfast and understandably so, it was packed. Service initially was great and our orders were taking quickly. No exaggeration, it was 45 minutes before the waitress returned to our table to tell us the computer system had crashed and she had to retake our orders. She was super friendly and apologetic, and after that our orders arrived to the table very quickly. Food was excellent and it's a cute atmosphere in a nice part of town, but I'd be hesitant to go here over several other great, local brunch places given the service. You can definitely get just as good of food and ambience elsewhere in town."
"Diner 42 is a hidden gem. It's across the street from Schoolhouse Scoops, a popular ice cream shop, and I believe there is a connection between the two stores: get a meal at Diner 42, a dessert at Schoolhouse.Diner 42 has a simple menu, but that's good. Everything is fresh and on point. Good burgers and dogs. I really enjoyed the Italian beef sandwich. They also have wraps and salads for people who want to go a bit healthier. It doesn't look like much on the outside, and the interior decor is nothing to write home about, but don't be deceived. This is a great lunch spot."
"Best pizza around!! It's my hometown favorite! Try the Sicilian pizza it's delicious! I never get disappointed here!"
"Met friends for lunch today. Stuffed peppers special with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. It also comes with a salad or cup of soup.Coffee is hot and fresh. The restaurant probably needs a good scrubbing but the food is delicious. Our waitress was friendly."
