"Just what I do not need, another cupcake shop close to home. I'm in trouble. This location is very close to Pure Delite Cupcake but blows them out of the water. I like the interior of Pure Delite more vs the castle theme here but it's still all about the cupcakes. I ordered a root beer and a oreo cupcake. The root beer was delicious and is actually the first time I ever had a root beer cupcake. So delicious. The cake was most and the frosting was light and sweet but not too sweet. Just right. I only had 1 bite of the oreo but the frosting was different, more whip cream but it was still really good. I'll definitely be back as this is the best cupcake place in Akron/Fairlawn that I have found."

"Hometown Bakery is a lovely addition to Vermilion. This area truly needed a local bakery! Its located inside a plaza and is definitely a strip mall secret. Hometown Bakery serves everything from granola and muffins to cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, zucchini bread, and everything in-between.We ordered a custom cake for a birthday and it was luxe, delicious and a big hit. Keep in mind, this is a small town, so the owner does not yet have a menu of her custom cakes or accompanying pictures. The ordering process was a little stressful because of this (I appreciate photos because it helps me understand what I'm ordering). Be prepared to be patient if you place a custom order. Hopefully she creates a menu with photos soon!I totally get the vibe that Hometown Bakery might sell out early, so be sure to plan it at the beginning of your day. There's a few tables and chairs inside as well as a small coffee menu. The owner is very talented and takes a lot of pride in her work. I heard they may even offer classes soon, which would be a fabulous addition for the area! The zucchini and pumpkin bread here are absolutely fabulous. Don't overlook this made-with-love bakery!"

"The yogurt ice cream is good. It's different after COVID-19 of course. They have a barrier and the employee serves the yogurt for you. She is using gloves and masks. Therefore there is no contact whatsoever with the handles on the yogurt nor any of the toppings. There is a barrier at the cashier and no real contact there. You place the credit card on a piece of paper and they pick it up, swipe and places it right back on the sheet. I'm glad that they're still open and I hope that they continue to get business. As we sat outside on the benches you can hear the giggle of little kids playing behind us. They have no added sugar yogurt. Almond milk yogurt among many different flavors. When it came time to try the cakes, we selected around 5 top rated cake places to try in the area. Frosted Cake Art was one of them. Mind you, before I review the cakes, know that Seema (Frosted Cake Art) is a home based business going up against long standing bakers, and the wedding venue itself which has over a dozen fine dining restaurants. We cannot complain about the other venues we sampled, however Seema's cakes were an obvious cut above the rest. "The Cake Tasting" itself was a beautiful experience, trying several frostings, cake types, and many fillings. Elegant and organized"The cakes" are consistently moist while still keeping their interior structure. We like to headline that point. Rare"The frostings" are ALL good. no alkaline taste, no granules, no empty taste, not hard like cold butter, nor are they too light and whippy. Smoothest texture you have ever experienced. Rare"The fillings" are exceptional. We wanted to use everyone of them. Even the more dramatic flavors we considered, although we didn't come in to the tasting thinking we would. All-in-all, for a small 75 person wedding, we decided to go with a multi flavored, 5 layer behemoth of a cake because we just wanted everyone to experience greatness. Greatness, folksSeema is a true professional. Seamless Seema. Aside from being a good baker, she has an excellent format of execution that sees the job through from beginning to end. She is patient and literally listens and applies all the details. She uses digital and actual templates throughout the process, willing to change and offer advice. Some fancy decorations we used....One was a "floating" top layer, giving a great effect. Another was a false cake layer where there was a statue of the bride and groom in a tunnel. But my boss wanted me to get a cake there so I went in and I had read the reviews before going in. I can understand why people think that Jean is a little on the rude side. She was not rude to me but it's definitely not a warm fuzzy feeling when you're in there. It's all business and she is very good at what she does. We got a retirement cake of a golf course and it was perfect and it tasted fabulous. It was $80 for half a sheet cake which is much more than I would spend normally. She gave me a cookies and cream cupcake to try - it was so soft and so good and a caramel macaron that was excellent. I don't know if I would get another cake because of the price but I wouldn't mind stopping in for a special cupcake now and then."

There were plenty of donuts and cookies on the trays. I guess they continue to make donuts through the day or just know how much to make to have them available for most of the morning. I ordered a mini maple and something called "The Bomb," I think. The mini maple is not like a typical cream filled donut because the ratio of dough to cream is much less with the mini maple. The mini maple was very generous with it's iced filling. I would say it's double the portion size compared to the typical creme stick. Much more cream filling in the mini maple. The cream filling was light, very sweet, and creamy. The dough was delicious. That's all I can say. Then I got "The Bomb." I think that's what they called it. It's a chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing and peanut butter on top. If they were located in Columbus, Ohio, it would be called the Buckeye Donut. The cake is not fried. It's dense and somewhat dry and moist at the same time. The size is somewhat smaller than an average size cake donut. It doesn't have much of a center hole at all so it probably has just as much cake as a typical cake donut. "The Bomb" too was delicious. The portion of peanut butter and chocolate icing was not overwhelming. You might need a glass of milk when you get to the center, though, in order to get the peanut butter and cake down to your stomach. The line moved very quickly.This visit took place during Covid19 and from the looks of it they practiced good safe protocols. Every other table in the dining area was blocked.I wish I had better photos but I'm sure you can find some online."

So i bought cupcakes. Both chocolate and vanilla. Cheesecake and cookies!! I froze half and gave half to my Bff. While there my son picked out non keto goodies for his dad and him. Just one negative review boasting of tossing $27 worth of delicious cup cakes into the trash. Hell, if I had $27 to throw into the trash, I would do so at the Lido Lounge. Cakes To You has made so many cakes, cookie trays, and desserts for our family functions over the years and they always receive rave reviews, so it was a no brainer to go to them for our wedding cake too. The selection of unique flavors, from champagne to butter pecan, made choosing our cake so hard. Luckily, we were able to make each layer a different flavor! We especially loved the champagne and vanilla almond. The final product was a work of art and absolutely blew us and our guests away."
