"Just what I do not need, another cupcake shop close to home. I'm in trouble. This location is very close to Pure Delite Cupcake but blows them out of the water. I like the interior of Pure Delite more vs the castle theme here but it's still all about the cupcakes. I ordered a root beer and a oreo cupcake. The root beer was delicious and is actually the first time I ever had a root beer cupcake. So delicious. The cake was most and the frosting was light and sweet but not too sweet. Just right. I only had 1 bite of the oreo but the frosting was different, more whip cream but it was still really good. I'll definitely be back as this is the best cupcake place in Akron/Fairlawn that I have found."

"Hometown Bakery is a lovely addition to Vermilion. This area truly needed a local bakery! Its located inside a plaza and is definitely a strip mall secret. Hometown Bakery serves everything from granola and muffins to cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, zucchini bread, and everything in-between.We ordered a custom cake for a birthday and it was luxe, delicious and a big hit. Keep in mind, this is a small town, so the owner does not yet have a menu of her custom cakes or accompanying pictures. The ordering process was a little stressful because of this (I appreciate photos because it helps me understand what I'm ordering). Be prepared to be patient if you place a custom order. Hopefully she creates a menu with photos soon!I totally get the vibe that Hometown Bakery might sell out early, so be sure to plan it at the beginning of your day. There's a few tables and chairs inside as well as a small coffee menu. The owner is very talented and takes a lot of pride in her work. I heard they may even offer classes soon, which would be a fabulous addition for the area! The zucchini and pumpkin bread here are absolutely fabulous. Don't overlook this made-with-love bakery!"

"I am so happy with this place! I reserved the room for a party on Saturday, and it was a cupcake decorating party. Patrons are allowed to bring their own food and drinks if interested. That's what really sealed the deal for me in choosing this place. Alcohol is allowed!The owner (or at least one of them?) was very nice and there during the party. She kindly stayed away from the celebrations but was easily found if we needed assistance. Clean up was so easy going. I mean, I think we did a good job but she didn't even check! It is nice when people aren't over bearing. I have to give a special shoutout to the macarons. Crispy, but not crumbly, on the outside, soft and slightly chewy in the middle, with light filling. Sherry did what she wanted and it turned out fantastic! I'm not creative and being the professional that she is, she was able to take my non-direction and make it great. My theme was "Ready to Pop" and she made the cake into an almost comic strip/pop art look. She was even sweet enough to make my cake pops look like balloons without me asking. My LO had her first birthday party and she made the smash cake look like a lemon for the "sunshine and lemonade" theme. When it came time to try the cakes, we selected around 5 top rated cake places to try in the area. Frosted Cake Art was one of them. Mind you, before I review the cakes, know that Seema (Frosted Cake Art) is a home based business going up against long standing bakers, and the wedding venue itself which has over a dozen fine dining restaurants. We cannot complain about the other venues we sampled, however Seema's cakes were an obvious cut above the rest. "The Cake Tasting" itself was a beautiful experience, trying several frostings, cake types, and many fillings. Elegant and organized"The cakes" are consistently moist while still keeping their interior structure. We like to headline that point. Rare"The frostings" are ALL good. no alkaline taste, no granules, no empty taste, not hard like cold butter, nor are they too light and whippy. Smoothest texture you have ever experienced. Rare"The fillings" are exceptional. We wanted to use everyone of them. Even the more dramatic flavors we considered, although we didn't come in to the tasting thinking we would. All-in-all, for a small 75 person wedding, we decided to go with a multi flavored, 5 layer behemoth of a cake because we just wanted everyone to experience greatness. Greatness, folksSeema is a true professional. Seamless Seema. Aside from being a good baker, she has an excellent format of execution that sees the job through from beginning to end. She is patient and literally listens and applies all the details. She uses digital and actual templates throughout the process, willing to change and offer advice. Some fancy decorations we used....One was a "floating" top layer, giving a great effect. Another was a false cake layer where there was a statue of the bride and groom in a tunnel. "This is the place I've trusted to make special occasion cakes for like 9 years! They started with my wedding cake, which pretty much blew away any cake I'd tested up until then. Wedding cakes get a bad wrap for being beautiful but dry and tough to eat. Not here! They're beautiful and delicious, and literally every time I order from here, people rave about the cake and ask where I got it. Most recently (yesterday:) I served a gorgeous cake at my little's baptism. It was so pretty I didn't want to cut it, and was so delicious, fresh and light, everyone asked where I'd gotten it. I may have had two pieces myself. I also ordered the cutest Saint Patrick's day cookies which were also beyond delicious. They can pretty much make any cake you have in mind, and if you don't know what you want they'll help you pick the perfect design- they have tons of pictures to inspire you. But my boss wanted me to get a cake there so I went in and I had read the reviews before going in. I can understand why people think that Jean is a little on the rude side. She was not rude to me but it's definitely not a warm fuzzy feeling when you're in there. It's all business and she is very good at what she does. We got a retirement cake of a golf course and it was perfect and it tasted fabulous. It was $80 for half a sheet cake which is much more than I would spend normally. She gave me a cookies and cream cupcake to try - it was so soft and so good and a caramel macaron that was excellent. I don't know if I would get another cake because of the price but I wouldn't mind stopping in for a special cupcake now and then."

Super moist and the best part is definitely the buttercream icing! There's kind of too much icing for the actual cake, but it's so good, you can just eat the icing by itself. This shop was probably the nicest one I've ever seen. I think it's new. Everything felt very clean and pristine. I first had Nothing Bundt Cakes at an event, which I think is perfect. You can order a variety of the smaller cakes for guests to eat there or to take on the go without all of the cake cutting hassle."

"We recently had a catered breakfast here at the office. Bakes by Jill was recommended. We had an amazing assortment of coffee cake and carrot cake muffins. Wow the muffins were moist and explosive with flavor. My favorite was the coffee cake, nice crunchy top, middle was baked to perfection and the muffins held together while eating them. To understand how good the coffee cake was you have to grasp the carrot cake, which was filled with a cream cheese center surrounded by fresh warm carrot cake. Full of flavor, moist on the inside and structurally sound on the outside. The carrot cake was almost as good as the coffee cake, but there has to be a winner and a loser, unfortunately today the carrot cake came in a close second. Any other time Mr. carrot you would have won; but today the clear winner is the coffee cake. Try them both and decide for yourself!"
