"My parents first went to J and G's 47 years ago and we grew up eating here (always a family favorite). I moved away and went back to Toledo this weekend for the first time in 10 years. It's amazing that J & Gs has not changed one iota. Same menus. Same wallpaper. Same everything... including the fantastic food. We had the pizza (cut into squares) that has a super thin crust. The gyros here is literally the best I've had in the country. And the spaghetti is also great. Can't say enough about this place but you gotta love a joint that shows this much consistency for 5 decades. It's the opposite of fancy but if you want a taste of Toledo, hit J & Gs for sure!!"

"We went to this place for lunch on a Friday. The ambiance is exactly what you expect in the area. Beautiful, spacious, with nice decor and large TVs. We were seated immediately. The service was friendly and timely. We ordered pretzels, baby back ribs, a burger, and peanut butter and chocolate pie for the dessert. Everything, including the ale drink, was great. The pretzel was warm and fresh. The burger was prepared exactly as my wife had ordered and expected. And the baby back, oh my Gosh! Hands down, the best I have ever had. The price was also reasonable. We really enjoyed our visit and will visit again."

It's hard to find healthy foods here so we chose Mexican because the rice and beans will keep us full while we travel. We are moving from TN to Hudson. My wife and I stopped in at 6 pm on a Friday for the first time. We sat at the bar. We waited over 30min to get a drink and had to flag down the bartender. An hour and half later, it had slowed down and the bar was only half full. She never came back around to ask if we needed anything. We were there over 2 hrs and only got one drink, and no water. We ended up going somewhere else to get a drink. Food was a 3 out of 5, service was 0 out of five. It was so bad I don't think my wife will ever go back.

I've been to this bar more times than I can remember. Pat is awesome, the drinks are cheap, the burgers are delicious (good quality beef). Service is always good if not great. It's a small place and around 5 or 6 they crank the music up so loud that's it's hard to hear the people at your table. It would be nice to turn it down a few notches. Oh and the bathrooms are an atrocity.

Love the Thirsty Pony! My husband and I like to go at least once when we are in Sandusky, if not twice! The kick'in chicken dip (buffalo chicken dip) is delicious!!! Never disappoints! Their Philly cheesesteak fries are also incredible! I also recommend their chicken, it is super crispy! Their Cajun dry rub and garlic Parmesan are tasty. They taste like they are made in house but I am not sure. Their cocktails are always good and strong! The service is always good and they are quick to help out! The environment is so fun and their are televisions everywhere! You can watch horse races and sports. You also can bet on horse races! Highly recommend this place and while you wait their are games to play outside. PS: this place connects to the bowling alley and laser tag!

We loved this place even though it was our first time there. It was pretty quiet and didn't smell like a fishhouse. Stephanie was an amazing waitress. She is funny and silly and just fit our vibe. The sushi rolls we ordered were very clean and just tasted fresh. The seafood boils were very good. My wife said hers was spicy even though it was mild house juicy. Mine was medium Cajun style and it was fantastic. Perfect spice level for someone who just wants that sort of thing. Is it a little pricey but it was worth what we got.

"Seeing Double had been on my list to try since moving to North Olmsted last year. The interior is cute and cozy. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for the appetizer and most like it was a store bought version. Although we arrived in time for happy hour we wanted to order from the standard menu. We were told this isn't allowed during happy hour which is something I have never encountered. The drinks were outstanding! I had one of the best cocktails I ever tasted. For dinner I had a patty melt and my wife had a chicken wrap. I would go back for a quick drink and skip the food because none of it was memorable."

"Kepners is my absolute favorite bar in Hudson. The interior is very cool, pictures posters completely covering every inch of the ceiling and walls. The dim, warm lights give off a cozy vibe and perfect atmosphere to catch up with your sisters over beers and good food. We sat outdoors this time and got to watch a beautiful sunset under the shade of umbrellas. Our server, even while pregnant, did everything she could to make our time enjoyable and I watched her converse with all her regulars (who very clearly like her!). She moved the heavy umbrellas to position the shade more conveniently on her customers, and all those extra attention to details are why she must have so many regulars who love her! Wish I could remember her name because she deserves a big shout out for her kindness and hard work."

"I really enjoyed my time at The Draft House this weekend. I was looking for somewhere to go for a burger, and didn't want to go to the usual Five Guys, or The Rail (not that there's anything wrong with Roth of those). So I looked through Yelp and found The Draft House. As you may expect (as I did), The Draft House is a local's, local bar for sure. With that said, however, other than the initial looks of shock and/or intrigue from some of the "regulars" upon our entry, my girlfriend and I were met by a super-friendly bartender, who quickly made some small talk with us, and the rest as they say, is history. We had a really nice time, and probably stayed for a drink or two longer than we had anticipated. About that burger, by the way; delicious. I ordered the Saloon Burger; a burger topped with LTO, bacon, cheese, french fries, onion ring and an egg. I think the menu might've said that the onion ring itself was "egg-filled." In any case, there was definitely an onion ring and an egg on there somewhere, and the burger was delicious, and cooked to a perfect medium. I also ordered a half-dozen of their smoked mango, habañero wings based on some other reviews that I had read here on Yelp. Unfortunately, after I placed my order the kitchen informed us that there were no more smoked wings available. I was bummed, but next time for sure. I hear they're really good. I ended up getting the traditional style, and they were very good. All-in-all, we had a really good time. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and the drinks were flowing. I will definitely go back. Who knows? I may even become a regular one day."

"Walking in, an ordinary person (and to be honest-even me) would think it's your average dive bar but supposedly to locals in mentor- it's an end all be all. I was here for a friends birthday party and I was shocked to see how everyone knew each other. I've never seen anything like it where anyone that comes in through the door, people knew on a first name basis. Waitresses knew kids because they were cafeteria lunch ladies at school. It was actually really nice seeing the close knit community. With a big crowd, the waitresses made sure to come around a few times to get our food and drink orders in even as newcomers were joining. Food came out quick nonetheless and was really good. Not your average bar food choice, I ordered the chicken parm and the chicken was cooked perfectly. There was just enough marinara sauce where it wasn't soaked and wasn't dry. The atmosphere in general is great with good music, a jukebox, and a pool table to kill some time. The city of mentor is doing quite well for themselves with having Spuddy's in town."
