When I go to target or Walmart, they don't charge me a convenience fee. Why does a restaurant have to charge me a convenience fee for using credit card? The last time I will be coming here."

Both were delicious. For dessert we also had the Miega and Mango bingsus which were such a wonderful treat at the end. The service was also fantastic. They were constantly checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed (enough water, sides, lettuce) and asked if we had any questions. Also our grill wasn't heating up all the way so they brought out another one. They were wondeful. Highly recommend!"

Leslie H. "First and foremost: this place is NOT open until 8pm as stated here; they usually close by around 3pm and are never open for dinner. Barrabicu is a smokehouse, not a restaurant - only open til they run out of meat, with a usual day being ~700 lbs of meat sold in 3-4 hrs (from 11 to 2-3pm) Orders are takeout, so no dine-in service but there's a sitting area with benches in the shop right next to a sink (eat BBQ with your hands the way it was meant to be done!!) The owner and his brother are really friendly and will bring out samples of whatever's cooking in the kitchen along with sauce suggestions while you wait and as you eat. We got the 1/2 rack of ribs and 1/2 lb brisket, but also tried fresh samples of essentially the whole menu, including smoked corned beef (Friday special only), double smoked bacon (Saturday special only), smoked meatloaf, and spicy meatballs.Overall this place stands out for very authentic bbq w/ that legit smoke ring and crispy bark layer but the consequent downside is meat that can be a bit on the drier side and a little less tender (ribs esp) compared to other places. Brisket and smoked meatloaf are standouts to try though! PS they're planning to expand soon with a food truck that will be around at Walnut Wednesdays and Edgewater~"

Patty Caraballo M. "I visit Akron often to hang with my brother. He picked this place because it is a go to for a neural friend. She is vegetarian and gets the veggie past dish - huge portions! Huge! So let's go...Prices are decent for the portion sizes, come on they are huge. Pasta, ribs and chicken dishes are the winners. The side veggie egg rolls not so much. Don't order them if you are expecting $15 egg rolls because that is not what you will get. The bread is fresh and warm, so good! The oil dipping sauce is tasty as well. The service was great, very attentive. The mixed cocktails were excellent. When you think golf course, you have to remember this is Akron and this place is on the edge of a neighborhood. It was nice enough for the enjoyable dinner we had for decent prices. Again the service was on point and the cocktails rocked. Bonus for having vegetarian options. I look forward to returning and enjoying the patio that over looks the golf course. They also set up a few weekly events so be prepared to see an artist preform on a random night."

Baked beans base topped with tender melt in your mouth brisket and drizzled with tangy cole slaw and the ultimate topping...barbecue sauce. Sweet tangy delicious foodgasm. Perfect to go meal. The menu has changed over the years and my favorites are gone but I absolutely loved the chili. The flavor was amazing and I wish I would have gotten a big bowl of it. The wings are a huge portion and the flavor is good. My fiance enjoyed his burger a lot. I found the pulled pork to be a little dry but the sauce was great. I enjoyed the little fried onion bites.Overall great meal and felt nostalgic :) our server was great as well!"

C.T. C. "1. IMO, the vast majority of Smoke BBQ Grill reviews posted within the last 2 years seem the most accurate. Not sure if there was a change in ownership/management since that time but I concur with recent positive reviews.2. BBQ has to be one of the most contentious culinary topics of all time. Whether you're a fan of either Texas or Kansas City BBQ, keep in mind this is northeastern Ohio. In this neck of the woods, we know more about New England sap buckets than we do smoking brisket south of the Mason-Dixon Line. 3. What I liked. The portions are HUGE to the point I would suggest every two people order a different side dish so you can share. The pricing is very good based on the portions served. Fresh cut fries appeared to be served by the pound. I had brisket & ribs combo. The brisket was juicy & both had a smoky taste. Traditionalists may sharply disagree with my liking the cornbread. Imagine pineapple upside down cake minus the pineapple. More of a dessert than side but very good. Just don't expect your typical Johnny cake.4. Indifference. The baked beans were good but seemed a bit bland to me. The BBQ sauce was good though I would have enjoyed some different flavor options. Service could have benefited from having one more server on the floor. Maybe one was scheduled but called off. But the interaction with our server was positive overall. The decor is nothing special.5. What I didn't like. The restaurant was cold. Ironically, another review made the same comment about a past February visit. The chill even cooled our meals before they were served more than I preferred. Seating in the booths can also be a little tight. In summary, I will choose Smoke BBQ Grill over any of the chain BBQ restaurants in Mentor.________Fellow Yelpers! C.T. C. "Cowboy is slightly outside of our local area but we decided to try it based on the recommendation of a friend. Our experience was on Sun., 02/25/2024 arriving at around 4:45 p.m. Cowboy is located on the north end of a strip plaza so may not be readily visible to some. Walking in, the dining area is large & open which could be loud when full. Seating options include the bar, bistro tables, standard tables which could be arranged for large groups, & booths that could seat 6 comfortably. The atmosphere is as much sports bar with multiple TVs & country with corrugated metal accents, faux porch overhangs, & ranch-style fencing separating dining areas. There was a decent number of patrons for a late Sunday afternoon & we were given our choice of immediate seating. Both my wife and I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs with wings. She got BBQ with a side of fries while I got Cajun with a side of mac-n-cheese. We both had a side of baked beans with cornbread. We agreed the ribs & wings were both very good with a hint of smokiness. Her fries & my mac-n-cheese were also very good. We both agreed the baked beans were light on beans & heavy on sauce - almost like being a BBQ bean soup. While tasting good, I would not recommend the baked beans as a side. Service was average; no complaints but also nothing exceptional or noteworthy. To summarize, think of Cowboy as Mission BBQ or City BBQ fare with table service & full bar.__________Fellow Yelpers! Jason was super helpful and gave me A1 customer service explaining what they could do for my 20 person order, all while being in the middle of lunchtime rush. Dude was great! They had the order ready for pickup in an amazingly short amount of time. We ordered the ribs, chicken wings, pulled pork and Mac n Cheese. Honestly, this ranks up with some of the best BBQ I've had. The flagship sauce is zesty and sweet savory with a good smokiness. I'd put it on anything! And to top it off, they had freshly made slider rolls straight out of the oven! We washed it down with a couple gallons of sweet tea and freshly squeezed lemonade. Just an awesome experience and the best BBQ in the Cuyahoga Falls area. We will definitely be back for more. Thanks again to Jason and crew! You took care of my crew with class!"

Ross H. "Ambiance - 5The ambiance was perfect for a BBQ restaurant. Everything was clean, even the restroom. The dollar bills on the walls and ceiling are a fun touch. Lighting was good and decor was perfect for the type of restaurant.Service - 5We were met with friendly staff and were seated right away. Our waitress cane to the table right away, but we weren't ready for her and asked for more time. She returned in a timely fashion and she took our order. She was pleasant, funny, had a cute personality and was dressed as Wednesday from Addams Family for Halloween. She brought our old in a timely manner, as well, and returned after an appropriate time to check on us.Food - 3For an appetizer we had the potato skins with pulled pork and jalapeños. The pulled pork lacked the flavor it should have had and the regular BBQ sauce didn't help it. For dinner, My wife ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs (with their new hickory BBQ sauce) and beef brisket with cole slaw and macoroni and cheese. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs with their regular BBQ sauce with Cole slaw and potato salad. The ribs with the hickory sauce were quite good; however, the regular BBQ sauce was fairly tasteless. The brisket was fair and luke warm. We both liked the Cole slaw and potato salad, but the macaroni and cheese were bland and luke warm.Price - 4The price for our combined dinners was $62.20, a bit high for only having water with dinner, but not ridiculous.SuggestionsOne thing all BBQ restaurants should offer are beef ribs in addition to pork ribs. Good meaty, rip-off-the-bone-with-your-teeth ribs are a must. Also, make sure your cooked food comes to the table hot and tasty. Otherwise, good job."

Jeff S. "Once again Yelp saves the day (or at least a boring few hours in Canton, Ohio). Flew into Ohio a few weeks ago to meet with a customer and had literally hours to kill so I headed to downtown Canton to see if I could find anything to do. After a few minutes on my handy Yelp app this little BBQ joint kept popping up on the search results; sold. The location was outside of downtown and almost looked a little bit in the middle of nowhere; I never would have known to come here without Yelp. This was the best lunch I had the entire trip. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty good although nothing to rave about, but (1) the helping was huge and (2) their relish is awesome. I've never had anything quite like that and I wish I could have bought some to take home (they do sell it in jars to-go but relish setting in a car for hours didn't sound like a sanitary decision). It looked almost like mustard seed as the main ingredient (cabbage?) was chopped super-fine; it wasn't more of a vinegar taste then sweet or spciy, but Idon't think there was vinegar in it. Basically no one knows the recipe and it's a family secret. Their sweet BBQ sauce was also some of the best I've ever had; perfect balance of tanginess. So the sauce and relish seem to just elevate the meat from good to great.I also decided to try their 'famous' bean soup with chunks of ham in it. It seemed that the ham sandwich is their specialty, but if you want to try a little bit (correction, a LOT bit) of everything then the white bean soup with the pork sandwich offers a good sampling of their menu. And since I was in no rush I hung around for a bit and then tried a slice of homemade black raspberry pie, sans the ice cream. Was pretty good but I think it was just canned fruit and I doubt the dough was scratch made.So if you find yourself near or in Canton and looking for a bit to eat just off the highway (or are visiting the NFL Hall of Fame right nearby) then skip the regular roadside chains and venture over to Kenndey's. As a bonus if it's a nice day you can grab some food to go and picnic across the street in McKinley Memorial Park."

The bronco platter I ordered was a great way to sample multiple meats...ribs, brisket and pulled pork in this case. The ribs were smoked and required some "chew" to get them off the bone...just the way it should be! Both the brisket and pork were presented in more of a chopped / pulled style, a bit surprising for brisket both both of these meats were tasty and moist. Their included sauce was slightly smokey and tangy, a solid combination. For sides, their mac-n-cheese was ohhhh so gooey, the potato salad was chunky style and creamy and the included cornbread was moist and sweet. For dessert, I tried the banana pudding which had nilla wafer chunks and a dollop of whipped cream on top. Perfect ending to the meal. Can't wait to give these folks another go...please give them a try and help spread the word on this new business, wishing them the best of luck!!!"

Commented to Charlene that she had an old lady name, who agreed and said her dad named her after his first girlfriend. Whoa! This joint has 4 taps, of which 2 of them are out, so things started off a bit disappointing. However, they had Great Lakes Christmas Ale in a bottle. Yum yum. They also have a TouchTunes juke box I can play from my phone which is cool, and 4 nice size flat screens. Tuesday night special is a steak, potato and salad for $5.95. Monty had the steak and said it was very good. Amy talked me into the rib on a stick. Served in a basket, it was a slice of pork loin, seasoned, grilled and chopped up with a bbq sauce on the side. It was all good, but the bbq had a nice kick to it. Char said it was Sweat Baby Rays Original, I'm saying bull shit. It was a great sauce that may have started with SBR, but was very nicely doctored up. Also ordered the fried mushrooms. Small basket of shrooms, but very well done. Lastly, the place has a brass pole in the lounge. Asked Amy what that was all about and all she could say was "a guy owns the bar..." ROCK ON!!!!!"
