From the friendly, welcoming proprietors to the vast selection of foods and sprinkling of giftware---including the cutest ever Swarovski crystal oyster and pearl---it's well worth visiting.Per their website, Rimi's is the first Indian store of it's kind in Cleveland, offering bakeries, groceries, and gift items. They're also the exclusive Cleveland retailer of Roopak brand spices and pickles (spicy relishes). Chutney (spicy fruit or tomato relishes) are stocked, too.Whether you already enjoy eating Indian foods, or have never tried this cuisine but are curious about it, you will enjoy looking through their expansive cooler/freezer and well-stocked shelves. They also offer fresh (daily) produce at the rear of the store, and several varieties of fresh and colorful mithai (sweets) in their inviting bakery case. Asked if I'd like to try one to sample, I chose the yellow and bright green pistachio-filled that was in a cylindrical shape. It was quite good---reminded me of marzipan. "So good!I was skeptical about buying what I thought would be overpriced cookies. My husband wanted to give it a try so we stopped when in the area. It was pouring out and we had young children with us so I waited in the car while he picked out the selection. He said you could customize your cookies or choose from the options available. He ordered a 4 pack and he said it was around $15. All the cookies are temperature checked before being sent out the door. I recommend eating them in the car lol. The chocolate chip cookie tasted best when it was warm and the chocolate was still gooey. We also let them cool and tried them after and they were just as delicious. Great packaging and cookie size. You can easily share but won't want to!"

"I just received a lovely box of Baklava that is really outstanding. It was purchased by a Greek friend who sent it as part of our Christmas celebration, she sends something delicious and Greek every year, so thoughtful. This year it comes from Athens Foods, in Brook Park, Ohio, a 65 year old family-owned company that is rooted in making their high quality phyllo products. You can find that phyllo dough in many frozen food sections in grocery stores around the country and even some of their other products in select locations. I had the Truffled pizza. Let me tell you about the flavor country I visited while enjoying this pie. The lemon garlic cream sauce made a lovely foundation for the mozzarella, provolone, thin strips of crispy bacon, mushrooms, and white truffle drizzle. The gluten-free crust was light and bubbly, though a bit on the well-done side, which I didn't mind. Overall, yes, yes, and yaaas!The roast beef and swiss sandwich on the gluten-free baguette was generous, rustic, and delicious. Caramelized onions, mushrooms, horseradish, stacked layers of roast beef and melty swiss were super satisfying.And let's not forget the sweets. We had 2 different cupcakes. Blackberry lemon and some kind with peanut butter. Oh, man! I recommend this bakery 100%. Run, don't walk!"

"This is a sweet coffee shop in Westlake that has innovative coffee drinks that all feature oat milk. We no longer live in Cle but this is near my Dads house when we visit and we always make a point to go. The service is friendly and honestly the drinks are great. They can be on the sweet side but the oat milk balances it so well. I'm not an oat milk fan, but decided to try it since that is their signature. In these drinks I like it a lot! They also have yummy pastries. I live in California and the interior reminds me of a coffee shop you'd find in a surf shop- so fun!"

"This is a local baker who bakes cookies and cupcakes out of their home.I know it sounds a little sketchy to show up at someones house for food, but Convivial Confections is legit and professional. She'll write up an itemized bill for you to sign and each cookie comes individually sealed in a plastic bag with a list of ingredients on the back. Also, they make awesome detailed designs for the sugar cookies! Hit up their Facebook page and you will see dozens of unique themes well executed. I personally purchased six of her political themed cookies that were hilarious and delicious! (Trump in the shape of 6 inch male genitalia, a "grab 'em" cat, and "nasty woman" lettering). The bigger cookies were $3 something and the normal sized ones $1 something. My total was $14 for half a dozen cookies that tasted good and made everyone laugh. I would highly recommend!"

If it's smaller you can try out a couple different kinds, or you don't have to worry about much waste if you don't like something, or you can just enjoy one and your craving is satisfied without feeling like a gluttonous Jabba The Hutt.So I really like that Gray House Pies offers mini sized pies (they call them "hand pies") AND they have a lunch special (11a-1p) where you can get a mini sweet pie paired with a savory pub pie, slice of Detroit style pizza, or mini quiche for only $6! They also have a deal on Tuesdays where you get three mini pies for only $5 which normally costs double!I've never had sweet potato pie before, but I was glad I took the chance to try it out, very tasty! I've also tried one of the mixed berry pies, and a spinach and feta quiche. I don't usually like pie crust, but here the crust is so light, buttery, and flaky that I would eat this part first! I've also tried a slice of their Detroit style pizza and it was good as well. This style of pizza is rather thick and I think next time I will ask for a side of pizza sauce to dip it into. My only slight negative would be that they did not have any of the savory pub pies and it does not look like they make cream or specialty pies in the mini version. I could be wrong and they were just completely sold out the times I have been there, I'll have to arrive early and ask them next time I go. But other than that, I think their offerings are tasty, affordable, and very easy to heat up in the oven!"

She kindly stayed away from the celebrations but was easily found if we needed assistance. Clean up was so easy going. I mean, I think we did a good job but she didn't even check!
