"Amazing little bakery in Lakewood! They have street parking that is free & is within walking distance of a lot of other Lakewood staples. They have a wide selection of breads, muffins and bakery. I noticed they also offer other Cleveland goodies such as hot sauce, granola and bags of coffee. Be sure to stop by if you need any fresh bakery, the line is normally long but moves quick (that's how great they are!)."
"A Jewel in the Crown . . . here in Westlake! This "Jewel" isn't Great Britain's India from the past, but a modern, bright, and spacious shop in Westlake. From the friendly, welcoming proprietors to the vast selection of foods and sprinkling of giftware---including the cutest ever Swarovski crystal oyster and pearl---it's well worth visiting.Per their website, Rimi's is the first Indian store of it's kind in Cleveland, offering bakeries, groceries, and gift items. They're also the exclusive Cleveland retailer of Roopak brand spices and pickles (spicy relishes). Chutney (spicy fruit or tomato relishes) are stocked, too.Whether you already enjoy eating Indian foods, or have never tried this cuisine but are curious about it, you will enjoy looking through their expansive cooler/freezer and well-stocked shelves. They also offer fresh (daily) produce at the rear of the store, and several varieties of fresh and colorful mithai (sweets) in their inviting bakery case. Asked if I'd like to try one to sample, I chose the yellow and bright green pistachio-filled that was in a cylindrical shape. It was quite good---reminded me of marzipan. Naan (bread) is available frozen, refrigerated, and non-refrigerated, and they carry over 15 rices, including Tilda brand, my favorite basmati.Among many vegetarian products are: eggless tea cakes, cookies, decorated layer cakes, cupcakes and puff pastries. Their full-size potato/pea and paneer masala puffs are offered daily, but for other choices confirm what they have available for purchase beforehand, since some items are baked to order. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * For complete list of bakery and pricing, pull up their website. www.indianbakersngrocers.com? Are you a vegetarian, but have never tried Indian foods ? You must try it. This is a whole new world of flavors. Pick a few prepared savory dishes and enjoy something completely different---and healthy, too. And if you aren't a vegetarian, but new to this cuisine, because many Indian dishes can very easily complement poultry, meat, or fish, begin by trying them as side dishes. All Indian foods are best accompanied with rice or naan---or both---and a small serving of pickle or chutney."

"So good!I was skeptical about buying what I thought would be overpriced cookies. My husband wanted to give it a try so we stopped when in the area. It was pouring out and we had young children with us so I waited in the car while he picked out the selection. He said you could customize your cookies or choose from the options available. He ordered a 4 pack and he said it was around $15. All the cookies are temperature checked before being sent out the door. I recommend eating them in the car lol. The chocolate chip cookie tasted best when it was warm and the chocolate was still gooey. We also let them cool and tried them after and they were just as delicious. Great packaging and cookie size. You can easily share but won't want to!"
"I just received a lovely box of Baklava that is really outstanding. It was purchased by a Greek friend who sent it as part of our Christmas celebration, she sends something delicious and Greek every year, so thoughtful. This year it comes from Athens Foods, in Brook Park, Ohio, a 65 year old family-owned company that is rooted in making their high quality phyllo products. You can find that phyllo dough in many frozen food sections in grocery stores around the country and even some of their other products in select locations. You can also order some of them in Amazon so they're out there. https://athensfoods.com/where-to-buy/I have used their phyllo dough before but this is my first baklava experience with them. It is some of the best I've had because it's a little lighter than many and not quite as excessively sweet, which is normally the case. Lighter, lightly flakey, and tastes fresh out of the box. It's delicious and thanks to my friend and Athens for putting me in a smiley Christmas mood! Bottom line: I'm a big Greek food fan and their baklava is outstanding and their phyllo dough is a fabulous time saver, especially when you're baking challenged, like me. Highly recommend!!https://athensfoods.com/products/baklava/https://www.facebook.com/AthensFoods/"
"Looking for that overly sweet indulgent cookie filled with tons of sugar to fulfill your sugary desires .... Well here's Crumbl. The cookies are huge, filling, delicious and without a doubt one cookie can be shared by two people. No vegan options but for all you dairy lovers this is your spot. The staff is quick efficient and if you love cookies that are big sweet and made fresh daily give it a try! They sell out and flavors change I think daily but the chocolate chip is delicious."
"We shop here at least once a week and never had a bad experience. Everyone who works here is very nice. The store is very clean and well organized. One thing no one else has mentioned are the amazing ribs they serve here. They only have them ( along with chicken and sides) on certain weekends. They are so good and usually sell until they are all out so get there early!"
"I love Blue Rooster, especially French butter buns, muffins, cheesecakes and cookies. I haven't had coffee and buns at the cafe yet but it looks very comfortable inside!"
"Lavender Jones is knocking it clear out of the park with their newer menu offerings. Pizza and sandwiches that are gluten-free and within a 5 minute drive from my home ? Yes, please! I had the Truffled pizza. Let me tell you about the flavor country I visited while enjoying this pie. The lemon garlic cream sauce made a lovely foundation for the mozzarella, provolone, thin strips of crispy bacon, mushrooms, and white truffle drizzle. The gluten-free crust was light and bubbly, though a bit on the well-done side, which I didn't mind. Overall, yes, yes, and yaaas! The roast beef and swiss sandwich on the gluten-free baguette was generous, rustic, and delicious. Caramelized onions, mushrooms, horseradish, stacked layers of roast beef and melty swiss were super satisfying. And let's not forget the sweets. We had 2 different cupcakes. Blackberry lemon and some kind with peanut butter. Oh, man! I recommend this bakery 100%. Run, don't walk!"
"We only got a cannoli to eat for a dessert, but it was amazing. Never had one before and it was made fresh to order and blew me away how great it was. Service at the counter was nice and quick to serve us. Ambiance was fitting to the vibe of the community and bakery. Was a fun dessert stop."
"This is a sweet coffee shop in Westlake that has innovative coffee drinks that all feature oat milk. We no longer live in Cle but this is near my Dads house when we visit and we always make a point to go. The service is friendly and honestly the drinks are great. They can be on the sweet side but the oat milk balances it so well. I'm not an oat milk fan, but decided to try it since that is their signature. In these drinks I like it a lot! They also have yummy pastries. I live in California and the interior reminds me of a coffee shop you'd find in a surf shop- so fun!"
"This is a local baker who bakes cookies and cupcakes out of their home.I know it sounds a little sketchy to show up at someones house for food, but Convivial Confections is legit and professional. She'll write up an itemized bill for you to sign and each cookie comes individually sealed in a plastic bag with a list of ingredients on the back. Also, they make awesome detailed designs for the sugar cookies! Hit up their Facebook page and you will see dozens of unique themes well executed. I personally purchased six of her political themed cookies that were hilarious and delicious! (Trump in the shape of 6 inch male genitalia, a "grab 'em" cat, and "nasty woman" lettering). The bigger cookies were $3 something and the normal sized ones $1 something. My total was $14 for half a dozen cookies that tasted good and made everyone laugh. I would highly recommend!"
"My go to is the Adam's Breakfast Sandwich on gluten free with a side of the potatoes! Amazing"

After living in France for a year, I developed a taste for fresh baguettes. I tried a lot of different baguettes around Cleveland trying to find one that was comparable to a French bakery. Most fell very short. The closest one I can find is the baguette here from Breadsmith. To be fair, in order to be a perfect match, the crust should be thinner and more delicate. That said, this one is still really good and still the most authentic one I've been able to find in this area.

Westside people looking for Indian groceries, need look no farther! Rimi's grocery could be your go to store! I'm a regular here, and could find almost everything that I need. Couple of uncommon items that I was looking for, which too I found it here were whole turmeric and purboil rice. They have fresh produce too, limited option but works well for us. Although the name suggests bakery and grocers and gifts, they are mostly grocers then comes bakery and then gifts. As I dont have a sweet tooth, I go here for groceries. Never looked for any gifts though. The store is clean and organized. Friendly staff.

Recently, I learned how to make the Greek foods baklava, spanakopita, and tiropita. The Greek ladies who taught me how to make these foods said that Athens Foods Inc. makes the best phyllo dough compared to other businesses, and this dough is the only one that they now buy.Athens Foods Inc. has been in business since the 1960s, and they are the largest producer of phyllo dough in the entire world. Phyllo is a type of unleavened bread that is very thin. Athens's phyllo is flavorful just like other business's phyllo, but the sheets of dough do not easily stick together or tear apart.I layered many hundreds of these phyllo sheets, and I agree that they were easy to work with. Almost none of my phyllo sheets tore when I was laying them down or brushing them with butter. When I occasionally tore or crinkled a phyllo sheet, it was very forgiving and easy to cover up. Please note that Athens Foods Inc. sells many other foods, such as kataifi, phyllo shells, and spanakopita, and maybe I will someday try them.

I'm a frequent flyer at Dale's. I work next door and it's great for lunch. They have a hot foods section with daily specials. . Today I had the chicken paprikash, which is one of my favorites. The fresh made cakes are very good to, the frosting is just the right sweetness. If your looking for a special occasion cake it's great. And the fried chicken is really good as well. Planning on using their services for my son's grad party.

An absolute must-go-here if you find yourself in Oberlin, Ohio!! We picked up road trip snacks this morning after I collected my Oberlin College kid and another student for the long trek back to Chicago for Thanksgiving break! We bought $25 worth of treats for the road and 100% were gone by Toledo! We ate everything!!!! Favorites: Pesto croissants (pine-nut free, which is awesome as two of us are allergic to pine nuts), blackberry puff pastry, raspberry jelly donut, custard+fruit flan, and a cheesy-garlic puff pastry. There is a section of gluten-free treats!!!The staff was super, super nice & helpful!! They were patient with us and answered all of our questions. Boxed up the treats. Sooooo pleasant. Everyone was masked and there is a great big plexiglass barrier for Covid safety. Very well done. I will definitely come back every chance I get!! Thank you!!

I love trying to support small business owners and Lavender Jones Macarons are a hit! I stopped by after going on a research visit and was pleasantly surprised by their options! I got to meet one of the owners who told me how they have hundreds of flavors and they rotate! The owner told me they had such a great demand that they decided to create a store.I tried their pumpkin spice biscotti which was delicious and I got 2 packs of macarons one for my friend and one from me.I had the autumn sangria, pecan, lemon, pumpkin and two other flavors I can't remember, but they were all delicious! I highly recommend dropping by for a sweet treat :)

"Wonderful unassuming brunch place in Perrysburg. The food, atmosphere and staff are spot on. The cinnamon roll was one of the best I ever had (made fresh daily)."
"Loaves of sour dough bread AND homemade pretzels!! TRUST ME!!! Our daughter drove here just to get the loaf of bread and when she brought it home, we devoured it!! This will now be a weekly stop for us...AT LEAST!!"
"food has always been good . my favorite are the cakes. I like their pan cake a lot . Even their evening snacks i loved it .Also their biryanis are really good."
"Some of the best baked goods I ever had the opportunity to enjoy. Where to start there pizza is so light and fluffy and so satisfying there cakes /pies are also made well, fresh pepperoni rolls and stromboli to die for lots of home made sauces and pastas for sale if you want to make the best Italian food at home buy your ingredients here."
"Cute new bakery that is nut free bakery in Shaker Heights! Super brightly lit and clean. Their baked goods are great too. Came here with my husband Saturday morning to check out the place. Several people already seated enjoying coffee and cookies. I love that they have gluten free options and the fact that the whole place is nut free. So good for families with kids who have allergies!"
"Gypsy coffee shop was super cute and unique. The staff were very friendly and answered all my questions. I ended up with the tropic which is coconut and macadamia nut. Very good. Highly recommend visiting this place next time you're in the area!"
"Fragapanes is the best location in town for donuts as well as has the best Cassata cake!! Besides baked goods they have an excellent selection of pasta, sauces, pesto, olive oils, stuff from Italy I would've normally bought online and not crazy priced either! Their deli is insane, so full of options. They sell boars head,l which I used to buy every time but that recently changed with the recalls so I stopped buying that, they are still serving it."
"We've bought their pies from time to time in Heinen's and were looking forward to getting something in their shop. Ordered a large pizza and a small peach pie. First the pie... it was about as average and unmemorable a pie as I can recall ever having. Absolutely nothing of note about it. Just meh. Pizza was odd. We ordered sausage, onions, and green peppers. Veggies diced into extremely small pieces, and heaps and heaps of sausage... which was so bland we all wondered if it was just hamburger meat. Almost no taste whatsoever. Service was... odd. The guy was just odd."
"Oh me oh my what a nice tiny pie! If you've been reading my reviews you know I always love it when a place offers mini/sampling sizes (shout out to flights and pairings!). If it's smaller you can try out a couple different kinds, or you don't have to worry about much waste if you don't like something, or you can just enjoy one and your craving is satisfied without feeling like a gluttonous Jabba The Hutt.So I really like that Gray House Pies offers mini sized pies (they call them "hand pies") AND they have a lunch special (11a-1p) where you can get a mini sweet pie paired with a savory pub pie, slice of Detroit style pizza, or mini quiche for only $6! They also have a deal on Tuesdays where you get three mini pies for only $5 which normally costs double!I've never had sweet potato pie before, but I was glad I took the chance to try it out, very tasty! I've also tried one of the mixed berry pies, and a spinach and feta quiche. I don't usually like pie crust, but here the crust is so light, buttery, and flaky that I would eat this part first! I've also tried a slice of their Detroit style pizza and it was good as well. This style of pizza is rather thick and I think next time I will ask for a side of pizza sauce to dip it into. My only slight negative would be that they did not have any of the savory pub pies and it does not look like they make cream or specialty pies in the mini version. I could be wrong and they were just completely sold out the times I have been there, I'll have to arrive early and ask them next time I go. But other than that, I think their offerings are tasty, affordable, and very easy to heat up in the oven!"
"I absolutely LOVE local bakeries, and Sugar Me did not disappoint! The bakery is a little bit hard to find, but definitely worth the search. Clute vintage feel. I visited on a Wednesday morning, and was welcomed right away. Nice selection of baked goods. I opted for 2 Oh, Ohs...take on HoHo's. 1 birthday cake flavored, and 1 chocolate, filled with yummy whipped cream. I also got a lemon bar and chocolate chip shortbread (yum!). Everything was fresh, homemade, tasty, and reasonably priced. I would absolutely return!"
"The brownies are so good! New place so I think they are still figuring out their vibe, but the cookies and baked goods are really good. A great local alternative to other cookie chains."
"I am so happy with this place! I reserved the room for a party on Saturday, and it was a cupcake decorating party. Patrons are allowed to bring their own food and drinks if interested. That's what really sealed the deal for me in choosing this place. Alcohol is allowed! The owner (or at least one of them?) was very nice and there during the party. She kindly stayed away from the celebrations but was easily found if we needed assistance. Clean up was so easy going. I mean, I think we did a good job but she didn't even check! It is nice when people aren't over bearing. I have to give a special shoutout to the macarons. Crispy, but not crumbly, on the outside, soft and slightly chewy in the middle, with light filling. So damn tasty!! Also, it's been three days since the party and the cupcakes are still moist. Good eating!! My sweet tooth in satisfied."
"The best authentic kolaches in town. The shop has that fresh smell of cookies baking a great variety of fillings and worth ever penny. You must try these and take them to your next event."
"Love their bakery so good! Everyone is so friendly. Had my moms 80th birthday cake made here and they did a excellent job."
"Heavenly Creamery is a locally owned place to get ice cream. It has lots of basic and interesting flavors. Many are the usual classics but there's some more interesting ones. Good service and prices aren't bad. They also have a non dairy sorbet. Cool places for sitting inside. It was an old church before becoming an ice cream place. The old pews are the seats. It has a fairly big menu for not having that much space inside. There's a mix of classic and modern flavors for a decent price. It has some healthier choices. They have a grape sorbet. It's about $3.50 for a cup. They give you a lot. It also has a loyalty card. Save by bringing it in. They give you a free bowl when it's completed so don't forget you have this."
"They do stellar work. Their Cakes and Cookies are not Holiday traditions for our family. If you own a business or have catering needs, you will not be disappointed!"
"Amazing selection of huge portions of cookies, cake, pie, chocolates, bread, etc. They have unique items also like pineapple cream cheese bars. Soft tasty chocolate chip cookie and fantastic cookie dough brownie."
"Everybody was really friendly. Everything smelled delicious that I didn't try everything. It's a cute family owned feel"
"Fantastic bread, cookies, smells so good inside, fresh and every one is so nice and helpful."
"First time here- we will be back!! Bakery is under new management but still has the same recipes since 1910. I got the cannoli and it was outstanding! Very fresh. There are many choices for bakery from pies to cookies to brownies and they have a suggestion box if you'd like to see something they don't have. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Very reasonably priced and quick service. We will be back!!"
"Wonderful source for Middle Eastern foods and cooking ingredients. They have a small dining are for eating in, a solid takeput menu and a small but very complete grocery area for ingredients. Excellent pita bread from their own bakery. If you like Middle Eastermn food, this is where you want to buy from. Clean store and top quality products."
"Great place to buy bulk foods, deli meat, and cheese. Their deli made sandwiches are exceptional. My favorites are David's Grilled Club and Uncle Jim's Favorite. Plus where else around here can you get Joe Tea? Wow! Enough said. Go there."
"Tommy's Pastries is truly a hidden gem in Lakewood. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by super friendly staff, and if you're lucky, you'll catch Tommy himself, always ready with a good story to share. Their croissants are simply awesome--light, flaky, and delicious. which I prefer over the Blackbird's. My personal favorite is the ham and cheese croissant, It's easy to see why Tommy's is a Lakewood staple. Don't miss out on this delightful spot!"
