He replaced the kraut with coleslaw and it was perfect; not too runny.I got a cod sandwich that was good as well. Just the right size. The fries were also great. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Really yummy. We highly recommend this local institution!"

We were in Coventry for the kids fest, so I expected a wait. We arrived and checked in per usual. We only waited perhaps 8 minutes. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. The children in my party ordered pizza. I ordered the pita that had turkey ham tomato and Muenster cheese. Everyone devoured their food. No money was wasted. Next time, we will try a milkshake."

Chad S. "No doubt over race weekend in Sandusky the best restaurant we found. Not only for carb loading Italian style but the desserts. OMG. The history of the restaurant goes backs years family started it and keep going from generation to the next. Miss restaurants like those not often see anymore. The menu has nice diversity. Most of it is basic Italian classics but just done right. The daily display of freshly baked goodies and desserts. It hard not get off mind before sit down. The first thing u see and all mouth watering hard choose couple take back air bnb. The chocolate chip cookies stood out plus perfect snack over the weekend. I heard someone call in asking if had any left. Hot seller and once item gone sold out for the day. I got cookies and muffin take back bnb. The food I got the Pecan French Toast. It was da bomb! French toast was golden brown, nice light batter, and pecans perfect balance sweetness and texture. Overall best way start carb loading before race day.Service no doubt five stars. Our waiter was amazing. She on top of it the whole time, friendly, all smiles, positive vibes, and fun chat about the area. Thank u.If ever end up in Sandusky, Ohio. U need bookmark this spot!!!"

Carrie N. "This was the second time we came to this establishment. We stopped here last year during our last trip to Toledo. Just as last year I commented on their hours of operation. They are a full-service bar/restaurant, located in downtown Toledo, very close to the Mud Hens home field (the Detroit Tigers Minor League Baseball team). Yet they close at 8 pm every business day. Last year when we came in, I recall them rushing us (it was approximately 7:00 pm) about when they closed. This year we arrived by 6:30 or earlier and still felt incredibly rushed. More on this in a minute. The menu is large, but nonmeat options were small. They offer a Vegan Mediterranean Beyond Burger, that is advertised as "cooked separately" served in a lettuce wrap with our chickpea sauce, topped with arugula, red onion, and olive tapenade then garnished with sliced cucumber, cherry tomato, and sesame seed sprinkle. It comes with Chips. The chips were right out of a bag, so I looked to substitute a different side for $3.00. I asked about the French fries and if they are fried separately from other foods, such as chicken or fish. No, they are all fried in the same oil our server told us. I quickly requested a tossed salad, no cheese. Perhaps it's just my opinion but why do you fry everything together? The oil will taste like fish or chicken then you fry potatoes in there. They also advertise fried brussels sprouts and calamari. All goes in the same fryer. So, if you don't eat meat, you have very few options here, as even the non-meat starters are tainted.Anyways it was happy hour, and they offered a dollar off the draft list. I asked about one drink if it was a certain kind of beer, and she did not know and went to check. She did not seem too knowledgeable on the draft list, so I ordered what sounded like a hazy IPA. We were enjoying our drinks when our food came out probably within 10 minutes of ordering. I was hungry so no complaints on the quickness. My burger was fine. It was served in this big, very hard to handle lettuce bun. My biggest complaint about the burger would be the olive tapenade. It tasted fine but was plopped on the burger in a dallop. And since this is wrapped in lettuce it was not like I could open it up like a bun. So, I got a big mouthful of tapenade all at once... YIKES, salty... Speaking of salty I was mid-bite, still at least half a sandwich or more, at least half a beer in front of me when the server came over to ask, "will you be having desert?" I am chewing, which was obvious when she stopped over, so I decided to answer with my mouth full. "Maybeee" in a muffled voice, I hadn't even finished my bite. One may think it was like 15 minutes until closing time, when it was 7:00pm. I finished that bite and we both agreed to get our next drink elsewhere. The review is mixed. I liked the burger though it had flaws. The location is great, atmosphere is cool sports bar like, and the staff albeit made me feel rushed an hour before they closed, were nice. But so many other things, I am not sure I'd bother coming back."

Andrew G. "I've been eating at DeMores for decades now... and while a lot has changed over the years, one thing remains the same- they have the best lake perch in town! When I was a kid, I used to go there probably once every couple of months with my grandparents. At the time, it was more diner like, and pretty much had nothing but perch and walleye (I think they also had a few sandwiches for those weirdos that don't like perch). They had already been around for years, and were famous for their perch. It was perfect. They've changed hands a few times since then, and have become a far more upscale place... but the perch and walleye are still the best around.I highly recommend the perch sandwich. They have a few sizes depending on how hungry you are, my personal favorite is the "whaler", which has 1/2 lb of perch. You'd better be hungry for this one! The fries are delicious, but skip them and upgrade to the fried mushrooms- they are outstanding. Try them with the house sauce."

Michelle O. "We have come here for Christmas Eve dinner for the last 4 years. And every time we have received very good service. The staff is top notch. The menu this year looks like it has been pared down a bit. Which is fine. Sometimes too many choices is confusing. This year we got 2 prime sandwiches and chicken piccata. Sandwiches were good. The bread could be a bit heartier. It falls apart in the au jus easily. The piccata was good as well. We got side salads in stead of fries and the salads were very good. I liked the dressing. Cost wise you're going to pay $15 and up for any thing. The ambiance is dark. I could hardly see the menu. I know we want mood lighting but it's flipping dark. Plus we were seated in a booth by the windows and cold air from the outside was coming in. Brrrrr. Lots of people enjoying themselves. Our server was a bit slow this year. Did't ask us if she could get more drinks or anything. Lots of people but we made reservations. And overall it is a good experience. Just a few nit picks."

Upon arrival, we were immediately seated and we began to take in the decor. We found ourselves laughing out loud at some of the signs on the wall. Then we started reading the menu and we laughed some more. The rules are hillarious! The waitress made a drink suggestion for me and I tried it, but the blue cider wasn't my thing. So I just went with Mountain Dew. For dinner, my wife requested ribs, my son, chicken and biscuits, and fish and chips for me. Tasting the food made me realize that despite all of the humor in and around this restaurant, they take at least one thing seriously - the food. The food is real good. You can see and taste the attention to detail in the food. My fish and chips were very good. The tartar sauce was great. In fact, all of their homemade sauces were amazing. We really liked this restaurant and eating here is an experience you'll want to try. It may not be for everyone, but that's okay. We'll be back."

Several store owners recommended that we eat here, so that's what we did. We were able to be seated right away which was nice. We both got burgers with fries for dinner, and they were excellent. FYI, this isn't the kind of place where they ask you how you want your burger cooked. They've already decided the best way for it to be served, and that's how they serve it. The fries were especially yummy! But the real star, in my opinion, was the spring roll appetizer. Hot, crunchy, delicious, just absolutely perfect!! I'd come back just for this appetizer! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!"

For dinner, I went with something I've never had before at any restaurant - a meatloaf sammich. I also requested a 1/2 southwest salad. My son requested a pulled pork sammich and fries, my daughter requested chicken wings, and my wife, a cubano pita.We watched some NCAA tournament games while we waited for our food, which was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, considering how busy the restaurant was. My southwest salad was tasty. My meatloaf sammich was very good. It had a good flavor and texture, and was served on toasted bread. I'd order it again. We were pleased with our meal and it wasn't very expensive. Next time we're in the area, we'll stop by again. My husband and I had never been, so we were down to try it! The second I saw seafood bisque on the menu, I knew what I was ordering. It's not the easiest to find any form of bisque in Ohio, let alone one with scallops, crab, and lobster. It was perfect. In fact, I am savoring the last bites of my leftovers as I type this. It reheated well! I ordered a salad to accompany the soup and opted for the Bistro Salad- Mixed Greens, Mustard Vinaigrette, Toasted Pistachios, Baked Goat Cheese Crostini. It definitely needed cheese, so I asked for some goat cheese to add. Then it was perfect. My husband got a burger and my godparents got shrimp cocktail, side salads, steak and baked potato. The petite steaks were smaller than we anticipated, but were apparently still good. They give you bread and butter for the table too. My godmother wanted dessert and insisted I get some too. She got creme brulee (which I tried. It was great). I got a special-- cranberry curd on a ginger cookie base with little meringue cookies on top. It was so delish and perfect for this season."

Sheena W. "Well friends, the end is near. It's Cleveland Burger Week 2020 and I've gone too far this time. There are several half eaten burgers in my fridge, but I had to get just one more. Enter in the Perfect Bacon Burger from Fast Eddie's. I was only able to eat a couple bites before the meat sweats started to set in. I thought a side of garlic green beans would balance out the red meat consumption, but my body wasn't having it. I had gone over my limit and was in the red. A nap was imminent. Or a stroke, could really go either way.But it was all worth it. I don't get to Fast Eddie's often, but I like this place. Plenty of parking since it's located within The Shoppes at Parma. I arrived around 5:45pm on a Friday and while this place was already hopping I was able to walk in and score a seat at the bar. The ladies bartending were pleasant and while they were busy, they still did a great job with service. I sat next to (well several feet away from) an older woman and her husband. This lady was on her second drink and feeling good ($5 Parma Sunrise for Happy Hour). She provided some friendly chit chat and a couple laughs. Her and her husband were both getting burgers but in his words not the special because "there's nothing gouda bout it". He doesn't like gouda cheese, which is a shame, but those old man jokes are on point. The Perfect Bacon Burger $6 comes with gouda cheese, pickled red onion, tomato jam, and bacon. You get to say how you want your meat cooked and I chose a pink medium. The bites I had were tasty, there was a distinct surprising tangy BBQ flavor that helped cut the heaviness you normally get with a bacon cheeseburger. It was a juicy delight, but not the messy up your hands kind. I hate it when burgers are dry. Talk about choking on meat...Like mentioned above I got a side of garlic green beans $4.50 and these were tasty. Beans seemed fresh and the garlic potent. I also took home the Eddies House Salad $7.50 because this weekend I need to start a detox and eat only veggies for a month. Pray to your gods that I can reverse burger week coronary heart disease."
