C&J's Diner

Great comfort food. Service was really great the server was serving up great conversation between us & other customers.The ambiance was good, it was packed but not to busy. It was busy enough for the staff to keep on their toes. ***BUEN PROVECHO***

We finally made it to CJ's Diner after living nearby for 8 years! Medina's hidden gem!Wow, inside is so much nicer than the exterior! Don't be fooled while driving by.It is worth stopping in. And the prices are reasonable by today's standards.

Nice little breakfast place. Nothing above your typical basic diner. We had a nice server and enjoyed a quiet breakfast.

So this a decent enough breakfast joint. The outside is very dated but we don't care about that.The inside is a bit more updated but still not stellar. It is clean and tidy inside tho. And the staff was polite, friendly and professional. The servings sizes were decent, the food quality was good but not exceptional. It's just a sleepy little breakfast and lunch joint. The kind where you will meet up with friends for coffee once a week. It has a homey feel to it.It probably isn't gonna impress anyone but in my book, thus us a solid 4 star breakfast cafe.

During the summer I ate there frequently and was very satisfied. Today I had the fish sandwich, the only thing good about it was the lettuce and tomato. I should have complained but I didn't. The fish was so overcooked a dog won't be able to chew it. I should have sent it back but I hear some of the stuff that happens if you send your food back.The waitress was very friendly, very busy, environment appeared clean and was comfortable. The split pea soup and coffee were excellent

So I wouldn't go here on sundays for breakfast. 43 minutes from the time we ordered till we were served. It was clean and food was decent. I'm always saying how can you screw up breakfast? I'll tell you bring it out 3/4 of an hour later. Not coming back.

I used to really like this place, but they recently took themselves off all delivery apps. Dunno why but it's extremely disappointing.

Stopped for breakfast after an appointment nearby, looking for something new. It's obvious this is a local haunt with regulars. Friendly crowd. Service was tolerable. Nothing either stellar or objectionable. Very, very strong coffee, so much so I needed to add a touch of sugar to knock back some bitter notes. Food was inconsistent. Eggs and hash browns perfect, bacon crisp and lovely, pancakes delectable. However, the biscuits & gravy were disappointing. If I had to guess, biscuits are purchased pre-made. They come split and griddled. Tolerable but inferior. The gravy was inedible. Tasted of insufficiently cooked flour and an overpowering flavor of an oddly spiced sausage not typical for a breakfast meat. The local regulars were all friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves. I wish them the happiness of this establishment but don't plan to return.

The homemade soups (nothing out of a box or can except bouillon or broth and some clams) are all exceptional. Cream of mushroom, cream of asparagus, beef barley, chicken avgolemono (traditional Greek soup) clam chowder, split pea, ham and bean, etc etc etc are all unbelievably good. The clambakes are amazing! Try the lamb chops, you will not find any better, at any restaurant, no matter how expensive it is.

We are new to the area, we tried it and have been back several times now. We have always left full and completely satisfied. On a couple of occasions friends have joined us and they also had only complements.We enjoy local places, C&J's is a great place to get a good meal for a reasonable price!!
