Bodhi Express

The food was amazing and fresh. I am obsessed with the Beijing mushroom. That would be my top item on the menu to get. If you aren't vegan but still want to cut down on meat and prefer a similar to meat texture, try the Beijing mushroom as an entree. The customer service was out of this world. All staff were friendly and accommodating. We came about 45 minutes before closing and they made us still feel as welcome as if we had been there when the doors opened. The place is clean and well organized. I would definitely recommend!

I came here not knowing what this place was and I was pleasantly surprised by their variety of offerings and LOTS of options for bubble tea. I told an employee, Lisa, that it was my first time here and she had recommendations for my to taste test. I love that. Lisa was so welcoming and had great service. 4 stars only because the rice was rather dry and crunchy. The orange chicken was 10/10

Though I'm not a vegan - I love fried chicken and steak too much - I'm always looking for tasty meatless alternatives to cut down on my meat consumption.And I found exactly that at Bodhi Express.I would describe the Westlake restaurant as a vegan version of Panda Express. The restaurant's menu included items like plant-based versions of orange chicken, kung pao chicken, and beef & broccoli as well as vegetable dishes like black pepper cauliflower and Szechuan green beans.I ordered a large combo meal ($14), which came with 2 small sides and 3 small entrees. For the sides, I got 2 servings of lo mein, and for the entrees, I got orange chicken, Beijing mushroom, and Szechuan green beans. I also ordered a cold tea ($3).The lo mein wasn't bad. It wasn't as greasy as the lo mein you would find at your average Chinese takeout place - and in my opinion, it also maybe wasn't as tasty as your average Chinese takeout place's lo mein. However, it was still tasty, and I had no trouble finishing all of my noodles. In addition, Bodhi Express's lo mein left me feeling better than your average Chinese takeout place since it wasn't as greasy.I liked the orange Gardein "chicken," though I could tell from its soft, slightly mushy texture that it was not real chicken; however, the texture was not unpleasant and was similar to chicken nuggets. However, it had great flavor, and the orange sauce had a nice combination of sweet and spicy (but not too spicy). I also liked the Szechuan green beans, which were well-cooked while maintaining a great crunch.But my favorite main course was the Beijing mushrooms. If you didn't look too closely, you could think that the mushrooms were thinly sliced pieces of beef (however, they definitely didn't taste like beef). The lightly breaded mushrooms were covered in a delicious sweet and savory sauce, and had a nice chew without being rubbery. If you're a mushroom lover like me, you would definitely enjoy the Beijing mushrooms.The cold chrysanthemum tea was very lightly sweetened. As a sugar fiend, I could have gone for a significantly sweeter tea, but I still found it to be a refreshing beverage and pleasant enough to get a few refills.All in all, if you're looking for vegan food in Westlake, Bodhi Express is a great option.

Plant based amazingness. Like a vegan Panda Express but waaaay better. Shared a large combo and order of veggie spring rolls with my fiancé and it was the perfect amount. The food was very fresh and well seasoned. The sauce in the Beyond Beef and Broccoli was so good I want it on everything! The spring rolls were perfectly crispy. I will 100% be coming back. Next time I'll try a bubble tea

I cannot contain my excitement. Westlake has a fast casual all vegan restaurant. We grabbed a quick bite last night and it was great. The minute we walked in the staffed greeted us and offered us a tastes of the menu items. Everything looked fresh and appetizing.We ordered two drinks, two medium entrees and spring rolls. The entrees included two mains and two sides. The portions were more than generous. I had barley tea for the first time and it was delicious. My partner had chrysanthemum tea and he thought it was very good. Barley tea is unsweetened and Chrysanthemum tea is sweetened, so they have something for everyone. There offer free refills on the tea. They also offer recycling which is always a plus.My partner commented this will be our new go to when we need a quick and tasty meal. It checked all the boxes. What a great addition to Crocker Park!

This new vegan fast casual Asian joint is a hidden gem and will be the hottest spot in Crocker. With an inviting ambience and extremely friendly staff, the experience was unforgettable! The fried rice and lo mein were great and the orange chick'n, ma po tofu, and impossible broccoli and beef were stellar standout items. The drink selection and teas were also fantastic!

I enjoyed the small combo with orange chicken, noodles, and mixed greens. Everything was tasty! The service was good too. This is a great place for vegans and all others as well.

We unfortunately don't live in the area but found Bodhi Express online. As online hours are prone to inaccuracies, I called to verify hours. To my surprise, they answered and the woman was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating-- even offered to stay open past their closing hours if I didn't make it in time! When we arrived, staff was just as friendly in person and very helpful. All the food and drinks we sampled and consumed were excellent. I wish we lived closer!

Food was AWESOME!!! And the service was even better. I totally reccomend getting the mushroom dish it was fire!!! The mushroom is thinly sliced and coated and just tastes amazing! I also recommend the Beijing beef and broccoli! The bubble tea was also solid. Great food and really kind helpful team that makes eating here so much better. Restaurant is really clean and well decorated which I always love

First time here. This place is a Westlake GEM! The food here checks all boxes. It is affordable and priced well, very tasty, and it's healthy for you! And the staff here is super helpful and accommodating. Very clean and spotless dining area and bathrooms too. There are free garages to park your car just around the corner as well. We will make a habit of coming to Crocker Park to walk around and shop, then go to Bodhi Express for a healthy, flavor filled lunch or dinner! I'm a fan!
