Blue Sky Restaurant

We usually enjoy breakfast at Blue Sky in Amherst. Today, we enjoyed dinner, it started with Chicken Dumpling soup which could have been a meal in itself. Next was a great salad. My wife loved the seafood platter, I enjoyed Italian Meatloaf. Both meals were fantastic to say the least. We were able to even take some home. If you're not eating at Blue Sky, you're really missing out!

We eat here monthly because it's good old fashioned food at reasonable prices. Last night was breakfast for dinner & chicken fried steak. Both great. Hubby took half of his home for lunch today. They now change an extra $1 if you use credit card. There's also now a check out fee ($1.11 on $23 tab). I asked lady at register about it & was told they got a new computer system. She thanked me for not yelling at her about it. In my opinion this is capital improvement. I don't have the option of not checking out to avoid the fee. What's this world coming to? What's next, a new chair fee when new booths are purchased (which this establishment needs)? How about a cooking fee when a new stove is purchased to cook the food? I'm officially a crotchety old woman now.

Stopped 9 am ish. Hubby ordered Eggs Benedict and I was able to order from the lunch menu and had the Gyro plate. Both were fantastic! Waitress filled our drinks and was available but didn't hoover. The check was reasonable too!

Food was great. Service was fast. Friendly. Great prices. Are at the Amherst location.

Busy but large restaurant. Great for breakfast. Decent coffee. Service was the best part of the experience. They are on top of it from being seated to constant tableside service. Will be returning for another terrific experience!

They have great food every time! I've been getting takeout, but when you dine in the service is fast! Never disappointed!

This is a good mom and pop old fashion restaurant serving sandwiches, burgers, breakfast and your hearty old fashion dinner meals. I enjoyed the food and would return if I am in the area. The time to receive our meals was on the longer side of what I am used to but we were not in a rush so it was not an issue.

Ordered breakfast to go. They got it wrong. Called and explained, got the same person who took the original order. Needless to say she was not apologetic at all. By the time I picked up the corrected order I felt this was my fault.This person should not be in customer service!

A total surprise and a good find. Stumbled upon this place while visiting the area and in need of lunch. I had the veal parm special - the husband had the pork and kraut special and my mom had the open faced turkey sandwich. Everything was delicious - both my mom and I had their French Onion Soup and I used to think there was no such thing as too much cheese but this soup may cross that line. There was so much melted delicious cheese on this soup - more than I have ever seen before. But it tasted great and served nice and hot. My husband had the chicken noodle and enjoyed his soup as well. We all took home nearly half of our meals since the portions are large. We plan to return next time we are in the area to try some other things on their huge menu.
