The peppers and onions sandwich was excellent. Their vegan delicious "meat" is quite tasty and the bread was delicious. The sandwich was even better when toasted. The staff is very friendly. Definitely worth a try.

I cannot say how excited I am to have a vegan deli/butcher in Cleveland and on the west side. I have seen little shops like this in Toronto and New York. The shop itself is a small with a take out counter and a video game (very fun). We happen to stop in on a Friday and they had Free Coffee Friday. Of course I had a free cuppa. I bought a container of the chili cucumber salad and it was delicious. They appeared to have several selections on the menu along with salads you can purchase as well. The woman at the counter was very friendly and you could see back into the kitchen where the food was being prepared. Like most Lakewood businesses there is street parking. It usually is not difficult to find a spot. I hope they do well I can see myself visiting whenever I am in Lakewood.

Nice to have a quick vegan sandwich shop in downtown Lkwd. The selection are limited so you know the food is fresh. The prices are very reasonable for the size. The board had 5 sandwich selections and multiple sides to choice from. Side are by the pound. Everything is vegan. We got two sandwiches and two sides to share. The flavors were well balanced and kept me wanting more. One side was a combo of chickpeas, green beans, cashews and little mushrooms. It was fantastic, cooked perfectly. A perfect choice when you need to get something on the go. They had chips and a few drinks to select from as well. A free arcade game to play while you wait. Service was kind and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Cute small space perfect for a deli style stop.

It is so wonderful to have a vegan deli in Lakewood. They had 4 sandwich options when I visited including a hot option. Also 4 salad options and a soup. I ordered the Italian salami sandwich and it did not disappoint on the flavor profile. Loaded with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and Castelvetrano olives on top of a bread way too crunchy for its own good. That was the only downfall. I had to put vinaigrette on it to soften it at home. Got the German potato salad and it was a mustardy delight. Service was top notch. Will be back and hoping the bread is softer.

Hands down the best vegan sandwich I've ever had. Literally ate one and then went back and bought a second one to eat for dinner later. Nicest people and such a cute shop. Definitely going back often!

While I'm not a vegan person, I really enjoy unique cuisine, and always down for some tasty food. Black Market Meats does not disappoint!! The reason there isn't a menu posted is because they're always offering different things, and all of their items are homemade with high quality, fresh ingredients.This place is carryout only, and the shop is super cute! There's some retail available such as hot sauces, various other condiments, and chips. There's some stools available so you can sit while they throw your order together.The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about their products and were able to answer questions.I ordered the salami and olive relish sandwich, and it came with mayo, arugula, and pickled onions. The bread it's served on is crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside, and seems to hold up well as leftovers, which there definitely were! The sandwiches are HUGE. I didn't bring my ruler but I'd guess they're about a foot long!!! My salami sandwich was perfectly balanced in flavor- savory and salty meat, mouthwatering piquant from the olive relish, sweet from the pickled onions, peppery and astringent from the arugula, and a nice creaminess from the mayo. It was truly a thoughtfully and perfectly prepared sandwich. The texture of the salami is convincingly meaty!! It has a nice firmness that isn't crumbly, and is nice and moist without being pasty. Honestly you cannot tell by texture or flavor that this is a vegan meat! My boyfriend was halfway through his sausage sandwich before I mentioned that it's vegan meat and he was in complete disbelief! And my bf is one to order meat lover's pizza!We also tried the rutabaga soup, which was nicely seasoned, and was an exciting option since I love rutabaga and it's seldomly offered on restaurant menus.We also ordered the chili pickles and they are DOPE! A nice smokiness and an assaulting heat that is ADDICTIVE!! The thickness holds up well to the marinade, keeping the crunchiness of the cucumber. I'm so glad we have a nice stash of these for the fridge!Lastly, we finished with the cookies! I tried the chocolate chip! The texture is soft and chewy, and it has a slight hint of lemony sugariness and nice large chocolate chips.What stood out to me was how refreshed I felt after our meal. This food is definitely substantial and satisfying, but doesn't leave you feeling heavy and tired. It's just good clean food!Vegans and carnivores alike can enjoy all the goods Black Market Meats has to offer! Give this place a try!!

Had their split pea and tofu soup on a cold day, plus their walnut pesto and hot sausage sandwich. All were amazing. Highly recommend this place!!!

The food here was fantastic. And not your typical "good for vegan food" good, this was on your own delicious. The sandwiches are on fresh bread and the size is very generous. I will definitely be back.

I love them! I come all the time for lunch and I love everything! They are super super sweet and the food is AMAZING I look forward to their food everyday !
