We stopped on the way home from Conneaut Lake, we were so hungry.. this place had homemade food, super friendly staff, large portion sizes! Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff

Stopped in for dinner on a Friday night after a long day at the lake. My party of 5 was promptly seated and immediately greeted. The service was great. Our server was extremely friendly. She went over the buffet options, sea food options and menu. A variety of items to choose from including a children's menu. The food is very bland and does not have much seasoning. I started with the sweet potato fries which were good. Along with some chicken noodle soup. Pasta was my main entree which was a large portion size. My party all ordered sea food platters which they enjoyed but thought was bland. They too felt the portion sizes were reasonable. Definitely a priced reasonable with lots of good just not the most flavorful food. The severs were very nice. All employees were working so hard and very attentive.

Horrible food and horrible service today. No coffee refills. Never stopped back after taking order. No jelly choice for toast. Just took order and brought the bill. At $3/coffee it's a shame. Last time here for us.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to Erie. The restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly. Lisa was our waitress and very helpful and friendly when answering our questions. We opted for the croissant sandwich with ham. The croissant was nice and flaky but a little soggy. Overall an enjoyable sandwich. The homefries were cooked well but lacked seasoning. My son ordered the Polish skillet with scrambled eggs. It was as expected. We ended our meal with hot cinnamon rolls. They were good but typical of what you would get in your standard grocery. Many of their items are not made from scratch. The corned beef hash is from a can and the hollandaise sauce is made from a packet. These take little effort to make from scratch and can make a big difference in your restaurant.

So EXTREMELY disappointed with Best Friends Restaurant!!I called them on Monday to verify their hours for Thanksgiving. They said they would be open until 2:00. My husband arrived a bit before 1:30 to pick up dinners for us 2 and my mom who is in a nursing home. When he got there not a soul in sight and doors locked and no sign on the door! We stop there frequently on our trips from Columbus to Ashtabula County. Won't be stopping there anymore.

The restaurant was clean, the waitress was wonderful. We had the fish trio special. The soup was tasteless and cold. The salad bar was great. The seafood was nice, hot and fresh but there wasn't much flavor. We were all stuffed when we left. The portions were huge! We were just traveling through but would recommend this restaurant.

This food is fodder, it is fine if you are out on the town and starving or too lazy to make your own food (guilty). If you are looking for good food, set you sights elsewhere, but you are getting what you pay for.
